4 DragonFall City

I see buildings surrounding me from all sides, I look around to find myself in a narrow alleyway with a bustling street flooded with cars in front of me.

I walk out of the alleyway and look around the large stone forest, there were thousands of people walking on the sidewalk each with their dreams and ambitions.

The sight of all of this almost brought a tear to my eye knowing that all of this was created because of me, this was more than I could ever imagine.

I start walking down the sidewalk because people started looking at me like I was crazy, every turn I take massive skyscrapers were reaching to the clouds, this sight put some perspective in my eye, everything is so real it made me realize that all these people are just like me before I got the system, I have to take this seriously or I could regret it later.

After an hour or two of walking around the city I ended up in front of a coffee shop with a cozy look to it so I decided to walk inside to take a break and order something to eat as I haven't eaten for an entire day.

When I entered the coffee shop I looked around to find myself in a completely different type of environment from the one outside, it was a cozy cafe like the ones one would see in a painting.

There was no one else in the cafe which was strange since it was in the middle of what seemed like a busy part of the city, I put the thought to the back of my mind as I walk to the front of the counter but no one was there, after waiting for about a minute I end up pressing the bell on the counter to hopefully alert someone in the back of the store.

After a minute or two, someone did come out from the back but something seemed weird about her, she was about 5'8 with brown hair, and green eyes, and she was wearing a white apron with the cafe's logo on it, when she was at the counter she seemed to be out of breath most likely from running to get to the counter, after giving her a moment to catch her breath she started talking.

"Hello, welcome to the dragonfall cafe, what can I get for you today?"

After looking at the menu for a while, I decided to order a slice of chocolate cake and a coffee once I was done ordering she hurried to the back and I went to one of the empty tables in the middle of the cafe and pull out my creator phone which was in my back pocket when I arrived in this city.

I had some quick questions to ask the system about this world, I turn on the phone and scrolled through the options, the phone had much more freedom than the pc back in the strange room, I scrolled through the phone until I see a help button when I pressed the button the screen changed to say, hold the phone up to your face to make it look like you are talking on the phone with someone, once I did what the phone told me to, I heard a familiar robotic voice coming from my phone.

[How can I help you, creator]

After organizing my thoughts I ask "what happened to the random mutations power that I put in the world, I haven't seen anyone using their powers yet, even if it hasn't been long since I added the mutations there still should have been at least one or two causing a Commotion in the city?"

[Creator, the conditions for the world power random mutations were not set by you in the world settings, so to make up for the missing conditions the system automatically set them based on the population of the world.]

So that's how it is I guess I should have checked everything before I went down to the world, for all I know the humans evolved to breathe carbon dioxide instead of oxygen, I could have died just like that, I need to be more careful, knowing I have to check what the system set for the conditions I ask "how do I check the conditions for random mutations?"

I do what the system told me to and I see a screen to select what power I want to edit, I ended up clicking on the only option I could, and a new screen appeared with all the options available to the power I end up scrolling through them almost forgetting what I wanted to do, some of the tools I would use like the inspect tool where I can see what power someone has the only condition is that they would have to awaken, there was even a tool that allowed me to take away a person power, I have to keep this in mind it could save my life in the future.

After navigating through the options I find the conditions option and select it, it takes me to a page where there were settings ranging from how young someone can awaken to the type of species that can awaken.

After looking at the conditions for the powers, all I could think of is how messed up the system was in choosing these options, the system chose to have almost no one get powers with only .7 percent of the population awakening with the minimum age someone can awaken at 15 and the only way someone could almost guarantee that they awaken was to have at least 1 parent with powers.

Other than these conditions I thought that the other ones seemed pretty normal like the ability to run even if you have a power.

After thinking about it for a while I decided to not change the conditions because I remembered that these conditions were chosen based on the population so I wanted to know why the system thought that this was the best approach for the random mutations.

Without changing anything I decided to back out and go to the inspection option to see what it could do. But before I could look at the tool I was interrupted by the girl from the counter.

"I got the cake and coffee you asked for, I hope you enjoy your food," she said in a happy but hurried tone.

"Thank you" as I said this she goes back behind the counter again in a hurry.

As I look down at my food I immediately started eating because of how good it looked but because I was too focused on the food I didn't realize what was happening with my phone a hands reach away from me, the inspection tool had gone haywire when she approached but after I was done eating she was already too far for the tool to work so I just turned off the phone and drank my coffee.
