1 Villainous System...say WHAAAT?

It was a late afternoon when most of the students started going back home from school. A certain young man with short neat black hair was also in the process of returning home after another exhausting day full of exams. He took the bus like he did any other day and was lucky enough to catch a free seat by the window.

'Now, quickly put on earphones before it gets too crowded so no one can annoy me later' The young man named Valdis thought while quickly rummaging through his backpack. He quickly found them and before he put them on, he checked his surroundings.

'Damn, so many students, the bus will definitely be crowded after 2 more stops.'

As he thought, not even 10 minutes later, the bus was practically full, however, at this point, he was fully immersed in the music played in his earphones while absentmindedly staring out of the window, completely ignoring his surroundings.

Suddenly, an elderly woman boarded the bus and decided to stand right next to Valdis who was still in his "trance", however, in fact, he was more than informed that most of the students who were previously sitting, had already given up their seats for older people. MOST was the keyword here.

Even Valdis noticed someone standing right next to him out of the corner of his eye but he couldn't be bothered by who they were or how old they were.

"-excuse me..." Through the loud music, he could hardly hear somebody talking to him.

"HEY!" Annoyed at Valdis's complete indifference, the one who tried to get his attention raised their voice and also gave his shoulder a nudge.

At this point, even Valdis couldn't keep ignoring them when they even nudged him. He took his earphones off and turned to the side. Looking up, he saw what he would under normal circumnutation call a cute young woman in a school uniform, unfortunately for him, she looked quite pissed at him.

"Can't you see this old lady? She has been standing next to you for at least a good 5 minutes!" The young woman said in an upset tone and the first Valdis's thoughts were 'So?'

"What would your parents think of you if they saw you completely disregarding an elderly person."

'Don't have ones, so I have no fucking idea what they would think, bitch! I always fear encountering annoying bitches like this one.' Valdis noticed that they gained a lot of attention from the other passengers so he decided to act accordingly as he always did in such situations in the past.

"Oh! I truly apologize, you should have nudged me much earlier, I tend to listen to loud music and daydream. Please take a seat!" Valdis's indifferent expression turned to the one of surprise before he got up and offered his seat with an apologetic smile.

He probably could have kept his seat if he turned the situation against the young woman by saying he has no parents, making her feel awkward, however, the last thing he wanted was to feel the others' sympathy.

"Haha, it's alright, young man. Thank you" Old lady laughed it off and the previously upset girl sighed after hearing Valdis's words.

"I am sorry I raised my voice at you, I just thought that you are one of those people who just don't care about the others. I just can't stand those people." The young woman explained herself with an apologetic tone, slightly regretting her actions.

"It's alright, you are truly kind for helping the old lady. Even though she could have nudged me herself, she probably didn't want to bother me, you did a good thing!" Valdis nodded his head with a gentle and understanding smile. He might have said those kind words to her but inside his head, he said the opposite.

'You do really love helping the others, especially when it doesn't cost you anything. Your generous help cost mine seat, not yours so what gives you the right to say that you care for the others, pretentious bitch. You just want to feel good about yourself, fooling yourself by thinking you are a kind soul' His thought process didn't make much sense but he couldn't care any less since he was angry about the situation. It wasn't even the seat that caused him to get so agitated, it was that young woman's fault.

"...Heh, thank you" The young woman was slightly caught off guard by Valdis's gentle smile, completely opposite to his previous indifference, she replied with a shy smile before bashfully moving away from him, presumably returning to her friends.

Seeing the display of her "cuteness" Valdis only rolled his eyes inside his head. Normally he would admit that he found her cute and beautiful but that was before she opened her mouth. Due to this exact reason, he didn't have a girlfriend. He knew that he has a twisted personality and it would be hard to hide it for a long time from someone he would be intimate with.

'Nowadays everyone likes to act like a saint to hide their small hypocritical side so it's only natural no one would like my true self'

The reason for Valdis's personality and mindset? He had a tough childhood and life in general, of course, when he was younger, people used to tell him that there are others who have it much harder than him. At first, he nodded at everything they told him and accepted it as a fact, however, when he started feeling depressed over his life situation later, he has gotten the exact same answer. He heard the same sentence several times in his life, by those who were trying to "cheer" him up whilst doing absolutely nothing to truly help him.

'It's truly sad that you have no parents but there are kids without parents who are also blind. There are kids just like you but also disabled...Who cares about others?! All my life I wanted to be happy why should I care for others' happiness?!' Over time, Valdis started hating such answers. Just thinking about it right now made him grit his teeth while looking at the floor.

Suddenly, he saw a blue text appear out of nowhere right in front of his eyes.

[Why did you give up your seat and acted beneath yourself? Is it a lack of power or courage?]

Valdis blinked a few times and when he still saw the text, he looked around at the other passengers but no one seemed to notice the floating text in front of him.

'I just hate trouble, I could have kept the seat and made fun of that girl at the same time but I didn't think it was worth the trouble. Even if I did win, another shitty day would have come and something else would have happened' Valdis subconsciously answered inside his head when he read those questions and thought about them.

[...Found a suitable candidate for a great Villain]

[Do you wish to travel the multiverse and break out of the "cycle"?]

Valdis didn't really care much about the first line of text but when he read the second, his eyes got attracted to the word CYCLE.

'What would I even do as a villain candidate?' Valdis asked out of curiosity. He wasn't sure whether the text in front of him was even real or if it was his tired mind playing games with him but it wouldn't cost him anything to play along.

[Wreak havoc, disrupt the world's destiny and the others' destiny. Hold their fates in your hands, that is with sufficient strength.]

'...So something similar to taking a book and ripping several pages out from the middle?'

[Possibly...Instead of ripping a few pages, you can also add a few pages or rip the pages of the entire half of the book out]

The idea of disrupting others' lives and completely changing someone's future quite intrigued Valdis. However, he also knew what the word "Villain" candidate means. He would be subjugated to some limitations otherwise he could kill the main protagonist of the story right at the beginning which wouldn't make for a good story.

[It is as the candidate thinks, in the beginning, you will be very limited, however, those limitations will naturally fade as you get stronger or as you progress through the story of the world you will be visiting.]

'...Fine' As Valdis accepted, he suddenly found himself standing inside what he would name nothingness. Darkness was everywhere around him and only one big wheel was standing in front of him.

'A Villainous Lucky Wheel?'

[This will be the first reward for accepting despite the circumstances, one spin. By the way, the candidate can no longer return back, now that he is here in front of the Villainous Lucky Wheel.]

'RNG huh? Why are you even informing me that I can't go back anymore? What's the use? You are starting to get annoying' Valdis thought and rolled his eyes.

[To see if there is any regret, however, it seems like it was a useless effort. Anyway, you have one spin to get a Villainous power from one of the following words]

[Naruto]

[Fate]

[One Piece]

[Death Note]

[The Seven Deadly Sins]

[My Hero Academia]

[Fullmetal Alchemist]

[Bleach]

[One Punch Man]

[Hunter x Hunter]

[Code Geass]

[Soul Eater]

'Hmm, these should be all anime worlds, right? I am not knowledgeable about every world mentioned and its powers but I know a few... a power from Code Geass might not be exactly bad if it's what I think it is. Well, this is still a wheel of RNG so it doesn't matter what I want.' Valdis thought while rubbing his chin.
