After the attack, I made it my mission to take care of Wanda. I knew that we needed to tell the Avengers what happened so they could join the search, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. My first try at being a good guy had failed. I don't admit defeat, even if it meant someone could help me.

So, I waited.

Wanda was healing quickly, which was good. Meanwhile, I used my telepathy to search for Natalia's mind or anyone who might have seen her recently. My search has been tiring for my mind, but I press on. I lost an Avenger, the most elite hero ever to live, and now have no idea where to even start looking.

However, I didn't need to worry about that too much. It would be bad for my health. Speaking of health, I was continually trying to make myself stronger. Doing everything that Hydra taught me in training so I could be ready to fight them. Even though I didn't have the right equipment to make myself stronger, that didn't mean I couldn't do what needed to be done.

---

A couple of weeks went by, and Wanda was adequately healed. Plus, I had finally located Natalia. Unfortunately, she was in a hidden Hydra base that was in Germany and almost one mile underground.

It didn't make it impossible to get to; it would just be tough. I wasn't going to give up, though. She was important to the people I cared about, so I have to save her. Any other time I would have left her for dead. Or made someone else find her instead.

So, Wanda and I got ready to find Natalia and hopefully destroy a Hydra base.

Using my powers of flight and air manipulation, we got to Germany relatively quickly. Now we had to get to the entrance to the base. That wasn't going to be very easy, but there was no turning back now. Germany is more or less big, plus, I also didn't know the exact coordinates for where to go.

Eventually, I had had enough, and, suddenly, I blasted enough psionic energy to level a small village so that I could find Natalia. The feat was exhausting but, thankfully, it worked.

I flew with Wanda to a small, innocent-looking house in the middle of nowhere. It looked abandoned, but that didn't mean no one was using it. Slowly, we went inside and tried to find the entrance to the underground bunker.

The inside of the house was disgusting and very filthy. There was dirt and blood everywhere. I found the door relatively quickly, so Wanda and I went through it to see a small, dark room. I waited a couple of seconds to see if anything would happen. I was disappointed when nothing did, but, quickly, the room started descending.

Once we stopped moving, one of the walls opened up. We were in a control room of some sort. I used my psionic powers to shield us from their vision so we could be safe. I felt that something was very wrong, but I couldn't figure out what, which made me frustrated.

Wanda and I looked around at the different computers to see if we could find any clues to where Natalia might be, but everything was in German, which both of us knew very little about. So, I decided to go with my gut and start going down different hallways while my mind searched for our lost comrade.

We were close to Natalia's cell when I suddenly felt a wave of pain go through my mind. Wanda had to hold me upright. During that time, my psionic shield turned off, and several Hydra agents saw us. I feared the worst and only hoped that we could somehow get out of this alive.
