He smirked and told me to try to feel mana-flow on my own, since I was so confident.

I concentrated on sensing the mana, but no matter how much I tried, all I sensed was mana inside of me and nothing else.

'Okay, you won...' I reluctantly acknowledged this fact, but did not tell Donne.

I looked at him with my moist due to fake tears, ruby orbs. I know that I AM cute and sometimes I used my appearance to my advantage.

'Hehe, let us see if you will be unaffected by my overwhelming cuteness!'

Donne's bird-face froze and that annoying smirk was gone in an instant.

" Wait! Don't cry! I'm sorry, I completely forgot that you are still a ki...Khm! As your teacher, I had to teach you not to be overconfident! But do not worry! Now I'll teach you properly."

I finished my perfect act by sniffing a few times, as if trying to calm down, wiped away my 'tears' and showed him my beautiful smile. '

'He-he, caught you~'

Donne came up to me and took my hand by his beak and the voice resounded in my head.

" I will guide your mana perception. Remember the feeling and try to repeat it later."

Even though I was startled at first by his message, as soon as I felt my senses change, I let go of any thoughts and concentrated on learning and remembering.

My five senses sharpened and I suddenly felt overwhelming amount of mana circulating around my body. It became harder to breath and pressure only increased by every given second. Small beads of sweat soon turned into drops and streamed down my face, neck and back making my clothes soaked. My body started to shiver and consciousness was slowly leaving me.

Donne saw the changes in my complection and quickly let go off of me. Everything finished in an instant. I closed my eyes and set down, trying to regain some of my strength back. I felt nauseous and extremely dizzy.

I set with closed eyes for around 10-15 minutes and was finally able to stand up. I opened my eyes and saw Donne, who turned around and now was showing his emerald back, in the distance. His beautiful appearance turned grim and no longer shone as bright as the sun.

' Why is he sad?'

I approached him, trying not to make any unnecessary noises and hugged him from behind.

" Donne, don't be sad! I don't know why you became like this, but if it was caused by me, I'm ready to fix it!" He turned his head and I smiled, trying to make all of my feelings reach him.

He well silent. We stayed like this for quite a while before Donne muttered an apology with sincere tone.

" I'm sorry. It was my mistake. Just now your life was endangered because of me. I'm no suited to be a teacher it seems. Well he did warn me...."

" Donne, I don't know who told you that, but I'm sure that, that person is wrong. If you don't know how to teach, learn. Okay! This way you'll be learning something new and teaching me at the same time! Isn't it a perfect plan, Donne?!"
