I felt it before I saw it, the oppressive feeling that seemed to dominate the mind. I had thought that I was the only one.

That it was only to my senses that it was there but I was wrong. As I looked around, finding and reading the expressions of terror on the cafe's staff and customers. Each of them had this look of terror on their faces.

Dishes crashed to the ground, chairs left abandoned as some of the patrons fell from their seats in fear. Their limbs failing them.

Then there were the others, the ones that ran, they ran like headless chickens. Holding their heads and screaming out with no sense of volume.

Behind me the hands that held me tight, tightened even further. There was this sense of change in her attitude that I had only seen in my machinations.

Something told me that this would not be the end. That fear would not be the only thing that happened.
