17 Chapter 16: Old Friends

Dogbite and Marsen made their way through the door into the shops lobby, at that moment Dogbites eyes connect with Mana and Ax, she immediately goes on guard.

"What the hell are you two doing here?" Dogbite says keeping her cool as to not lash out.

"Old colleagues of yours Dogbite?" Marsen asked placing a firm grip on Gungjr.

"Dogbite as beautiful as ever!" Ax sounding delighted in his words.

"We're here on a task from our master to assist your the boy you fall obediently." Mana says snidely.

"Remember you're in my workshop if you're gonna fight you're taking it outside and trust me I'll take all of you outside myself." Jugo now getting even more impatient with the four of them.

"Mr. Bellingham we are as well on a task from our master, the Old Man." Dogbite pulls a letter from her coat and presents it to Jugo.

After reading the contents of said letter Jugo keeps a poker face still and walks out the back of the shop. After roughly five minutes he returns and states.

"You four, are allowed to come below, but heed my warning, should you make a foul action you will be folding your own life before me." Jugos calmness in his words and threat made it clear to the four kids, they nod and proceed to where kid and the spirits are.

"My, all of you have grown to be such amazing warriors and ether wielders." The Sword Spirits as usual speaks in that of a elderly mother whom has watched her kids grow.

"Lady Sword Spirit, I, Mana Livhart, am honored to be in your presence, I've heard all of the tales of your triumphs, we come here on task from Myrtle to aid you in Kids training." Mana is in awe before the Sword Spirit.

"So you're the rumored best sword to mankind, even better than this old mans craft I carry!" Ax undignified and crude in his sentence

"My, my no need to be so formal nor rash, I wouldn't want Mr. Jugo to have to show his brawn, I already knew it would come to this that's why I had both couriers ask for the four of you, Kid is about to go through an immense breakthrough that could inhibitly destroy him or make him stronger, it all depends on his final action with the Drakin inside of him." the Sword Spirit wanted to both relieve everyone of tension and catch them to speed.

"Lady Sword Spirit, the task the Old Man gave us is to our confusion, I've been with Kid the longest, yet I've never heard anything about him harboring a Drakin nor was he been deemed as a threat why now is the Old Man tasking us with eliminating Kid if he fails?" Dogbite asks.

"I may be the one who knew him the least but even if he was capable of amazing strength he's always afraid of hurting others!" Marsen adds in

"Heh, even as his pet dog and so called friend you still no nothing about that monster, then again why would, your mind wouldn't stand the trauma from how he almost killed you Dogbite." Mana now showing her sadistic nature towards Dogbite.

"What the hell are you talking about Kid never wants to hit me, he always holds back during our sparring matches, even when The Old Man instructs him to not hold back." Dogbite now getting impatient with Mana.

"ENOUGH!" Yells Jugo

The Sword Spirit raises her hand as to calm the bunch "I will tell you the story of who Kid really is in due time, for now Mana I will be needing your assistance with your mind ether magic, I need you to link me with Kid, however, after Jugo releases the spell that is hiding Kid in that black orb, you all will see his condition."

The Sword Spirit looks at Jugo and nods, Jugo brushes away a seal on the ground and the black orb concealing Kids body is revealed to the four others.

He is missing a left arm and eye, there are lacerations all over his body, a rib bone can be seen sticking out of his right side whilst the left side is completely bruised purple presumably by the punctured lung.

However the thing that strikes it most odd to the kids is how he can still be alive in this condition. "Lady Sword Spirit, how is this monster still alive?!" Mana states angrily

"Willpower, my dear girl, the boy in front of you simply wants to win that's what's making him push forward." The Sword Spirit says.

Dogbite has her hand over mouth in shock over what has become of Kid, Marsen is almost in tears thinking that his best friend could die at any minute without help from anyone.

"Now that you've seen his condition you must be prepared because when he wakes up that may not be the Kid you once remembered, that's why we've get gathered all of you in preparation of eliminating the Drakin if he wins against Kid, however there is a sure way of victory and that requires Mana to link much mind to Kids so I can help him." The Sword Spirit says calmly and directly at Mana.

"Okay I'll help you, though I don't like the idea but it's a request from someone with such prestigious renown I'll cast aside my pride." Mana says proudly

"You three will be with me on preparations for who or whatever comes back, so prepare yourselves." Jugo says towards Dogbite, Marsen and Ax.

They all compose themselves and in unison they yell "Yes!"
