2 I Explore A Cave!

The sound of crunching gravel filled Nora's ears for the past thirty minutes. The trail was mostly comfortable the only thing that was unbearable was the 3-inch heeled shoes. Besides that, Nora feels great in the fresh air of the forest. The wind in the forest touched her face like a mother greeting her child after a long trip away

While he walked Nora started to stare at the forest being bored out of her mind just walking aimlessly on the trail. The forest was a vibrant green color. It seemed like it is the springtime of the year. Even though the forest was vast and wide-- it was welcoming. Nora felt welcomed and calming when she observed the forest.

"Urg… I've had the same stupid song stuck in my head for hours!" Nora groaned. A cold cough came out of Nora. A cold sensation swept over her. Nora began to shiver. While Nora looked for where the coldness came from her eyes met a cave.

As Nora looked into the cave, she became intrigued by what was generating that coldness. Precariously Nora made her way to the entrance of the cave. Smooth slick stones made up the entrance of the cave. Nora crept into the cave and soon the warmth of the forest became a recent memory, she was surrounded by the cold.

Shivering from head to toe, Nora grasped the icy edges of the cave and putting one foot in, she entered. Entering the cave it seemed to be dimly lit. the source of the unknown light was not visible.

The interior of the cave was rigid a sharp contrast to the outside portion. One could easily be cut by these rocks. Dripping noises could be heard all throughout the cave. Inside the cave soon small rocks began to glow. The cave opened up into a room about the size of a spacious living room. In the room stood an old, rickety pedestal, numerous bookshelves, and a couple of chests. Stood upon the pedestal was a necklace. The necklace was an intricate black lace fabric with four purple gems. Something about the necklace made Nora feel insignificant.

Other than the necklace of course what piqued Nora's interest the most were the books on the shelves, however, there were only a few books left to pick from. The rest of the shelf was barren and covered by dust, untouched by a book.

Nora took a book and looked inside, however, to her dismay, none of the characters inside the book were English, they didn't even look like to be of this world! Nora was frustrated, "I've seen these before.." She thought to herself, "Wait... RPGs! That's why this looks familiar!" Nora realized that the characters were similar to Role-Playing games she used to play on her computer.

The other books were more complex. From the corner of the corner letters and words stacked up on top of each other. Putting the books back onto the shelves, Nora made her way to the two rusty cracked chests.

Nora opened the first chest that was to the right of the podium. The only items within the chest were some rusty old weapons. Digging through the junk Nora spotted a diamond in the rough. It was a straight dagger that's blade looks like a sky blue gemstone and the handle was leather-wrapped cherry wood.

The next chest was similar to the first chest, rusty, old and wooden. However, the only thing that was in the chest was a leather satchel. The satchel was decent in size. It has an intricate design on top of the lid and a black latch with a white outline.

Nora put the books in the satchel. Nora glanced at the final thing left in the room which was the ominous shiver-inducing necklace that stood on top of the pedestal filling the room with crisp cold air.
