7 Chapter 7
Illfang and his Sentinels run to attack him.
He run to the side slightly and run fast toward them too with a bit angle to the left side. He not parry with the sentinels attack bet evade it to the side without stopping, slash it when past through it and parry the attack from the other sentinel with the same slash. He execute one move to not only attack one sentinel but also parry the other with the same slash. His prediction ability really a god sent gift in the fight, make him always prepared in all situation.
The collision of two weapon not happen too long as his prediction ability kick in about the next attack. So he move his sword move slightly and directed the sentinel attack to the side. After that he twist his waist to avoid the other sentinel's attack and moved behind it make it as meat shield so that Illfang can't attack him.
He always make sure illfang in check and place the sentinels as meat shield while parry with their attack, evade it or when he at the offensive side. Though he make sentinels as meat shield from illfang, some attack would still come from it toward him and make him have to evade it while make counter so to drain illfangs drained hp bit by bit.
He rarely make full parry with illfangs attack if not necessary. The different in parameter and with the advantage in number make it very danger if he too long locked in the parried attack. So his strategy was evade while always leaving damage to the enemy every time he past through them. Make a sentinel as the main target first to decrease the advantage in number and make illfang blocked by the sentinel while inflict any damage while an attack come from it from time to time.
Battle keep going, and from time to time, collision between weapons could be heard. Two sentinels was on the verge of their limit while the other was not in the very good condition either. While from four hp bar that illfang has, half of the second one was already drained.
Nao shifted his attention to the two sentinels and with diagonal slash kill it make it disappear into fragments. The other sentinel move after that, jump to attack him from the air, while another one run from his right ready to attack after collision. He then parry the attack that come from above but not too long as he tilt the sword make spark can be seen from two weapon that brush each other, and the sentinel land in his right side become the meat shield, blocked the attack from his right side.
But he dont stop there. His prediction ability kick at that very moment and he evade more to the left from illfang attack that evaded right infront of his nose. He make a turn and leave a slash on illfang side while evade his attack. The blocked sentinel already in front of him at that time and ready to attack. But that was as he predicted too and he was already prepared an attack even before it can make his move. He attack it not using new move but with the same slash he use to illfang side. The only different was he make a step forward to make his range can reach the sentinel and make the slash planted more deeply. he then execute his move and the second sentinel was done for too.
Illfang reacted at that time and make an attack while turning his big body. He duck in and roll to the frontward. The sentinel attack greet him after that, prepare his sword to left side he evade the attack down to the right and slash upward. The last sentinel finally killed too.
After a long battle until now he only have half of his hp. While from the four illfang hp bar, jast one already drained and the second was only left with about a-third of it.
Illfang dash forward and Nao run as fast too.
Not have the advantage from the number like before, Nao could more concentrated to ilfang right now. But at the same time, it mean that he doesn't have meat shield anymore and will mostly take the full burn of illfang attack directly. He need to be careful so he will have enough hp for the unexpected.
The battle continue, and two side keep exchange attack after another. Nao use his advantage to move around his body that make illfang hard to counter with his weapon while drain it sp bit by bit. Some time he will execute critical hit to some area but only if he can still move freely and not stuck in narrow position. He really need to drain its hp while keep his hp drained rate in check.
This is the longest battle that ever he fight. Nearly almost four hour already passed now since he enter the boss room and finally illfang last hp bar almost reach the red part. But at the same time, Nao hp bar was already reach the red part long ago and not have much time. He fight alone from the start so he doesn't have time to use healing potions at all. And illfang wouldn't let he use it now too.
If he keep fight there's a chance he will be the victor. But then again, he look at the weapon on illfang waist. He know that as soon as its hp hit the red part, he would use it in berserk mode. And with his remaining hp, fight it in that mode, the result would be fifty fifty.
He take a deep breath and decide that there's would be always next time. And it's his first try so its not that bad result. He gain much too from his longest battle that he ever have. Handicapped in this avatar low parameter, his swordsmanship greatly refined. He even learned new moves while in the middle of battle. His Sixth Sense to predict the move was greatly refined too because used nonstop since fighting the four of them at the start of battle until only illfang that left right now.
It's a handsome result, he thought and decide to leave. He lead illfang to the near of the door and he attack it make its hp hit the red part illfang roared and throw the weapon and the shield. Take it as a chance, he dash as fast as he can out of the boss room. When illfang was ready with its nodachi, Nao was already far away outside boss room.
After boss room can't be seen again, Nao leaning his back against the wall and try to calm his mind.
"Fyuuhh~ That was a nice fight I have there. This is my first long battle and the first time my hp hit this low." He then take out healing potion and recovered his hp.
"If I have someone to switch to use my potion, then the victory was in hand already." He said while gazing at the ceiling.
"Well I guess its time to come back to town. It's been three days already after all. My sword need to repaired too from that long battle." He then stand up and leaving the dungeon.
Along the way, he meet not only monsters but another player too. And when they see him, they wear a ridiculous look on their face. Well, as always. He's rarely seen by the other after all because he rarely stay in the town. Even when still in the town of the beginnings, he always hunting around the forest or another monster riddled place. And he mostly wear a cloth mask to cover lower part of his face if it's in the town after some time always get that kind of look. But now he forget to wear that after the thrill from the fight.
"Ahaha~ I like my face so much, really I'm. But I don't know why feel hurt so much if they have that kind of look every time they see me. I guess it will be good if I stop wearing a mask from now on, so that they will get familiar with my face." Nao said with wry smile after laugh dryly.
It can't be helped if people think that bug happen at the time nervegear scan their face when they see him. With dark hair (with takigawa yoshino's hairpin), a bit longer right bangs and tied in short ponytail, obsidian eyes, fair skin then devilishly handsome face. It's so unreal to be exist. The only explanation that can be taken by all unanimously was "bug" happen.
When he is outside of the dungeon, It's night already. And then he go straight to the inn.

A few days later after that fight some raid party found the dungeon boss' room too. And today, they will make a meeting to discuss about it and form a group to clear the floor to go to the second floor.
"In the story that I remember, there will be an annoying guy there. His name was... mmm~ well whatever." I will know when there.
He walk around the area to spend time while keep the Sixth Sense still active to more refined it. And then he found two people arguing with each other. He listen everything they are saying from doing something to the body, etc. It's a boy and a girl. He know the boy and he know the girl too, maybe.
"It's impossible, we are never going home." The girl said.
Finish listening to what they are talking about, he approach them.
"Yo! Long time no see." He greet the boy.
"Who?" The boy look confused not knowing who in front of him.
"Ah! I forget it." Nao forgetting that he still wear his clothes mask.
He then opened his mask to reveal his face. And when the cloth mask moved revealed his face clearly, both of them stunned for different reason.
"NAO?!!" Kazu was very surprised to meet him here. Or he don't know Nao was trapped in the game too.
"Ahaha~ Yeah it's me." Nao confirm his identity.
"But how? So you log in after all? I think you will log in after dinner because the kendo club activities just like you said. My little sis' going too after all so I think you too." Kazu not expected that he will log in after he said he can't at the afternoon.
"Well, I just think that maybe it's alright if just a day to skip the club. And because I can't play the beta, I feel a little more impatient." Nao said while scratching his head. And while he mention the "beta", his expression change a bit. 'Ah, I forget that people impression toward the beta tester quite bad this day.' He tought.
"But still~, I don't expected you to get a girlfriend here.~" He said while give him a wink to tease him so to loosen the mood again.
The girl flinch a bit make Kazu panic and hurriedly correct him,
"Wha?! She is not my girlfriend!!" Said Kazu panic.
"Eeeh~, But I can see you knead her breast while her laying on the ground." Nao said again while pointing at her.
The girl trembling, take out her rapier and ready to beheaded Kazu. Luckily his reaction was fast enough so he freed from grasp of death.
"What nonsense are you spouting?! She will kill me!!" He sweat profusely with the rapier hanging around his neck.
"Ahahhaahaha~ I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I just kidding, hahahahaha~" Nao said while laughing before everything goes wrong.
"You-...."
Dong~ Dong~ Dong~
Before they could continue, sound of a bell could be hear.
"What's that?" She asked.
"You can say that it's a teller. Thing that show time, it mean now is three o'clock." Nao said while looking to the towns direction.
"In one hour from now, huh. You go too right?" Nao said to Kazu.
"A~h!!" Kazu respond simply.
"Where?" The girl ask, not knowing what they are talking.
"Up!! To the second floor. It's time to clear this floor." Nao said while pointing to the sky.
"You wanna go too?" He asked her simply after that.

The three of them are going back to the city. And along the way Nao open the conversation.
"Ah, that's right do you have information from broker about a quest that the reward was a decent katana around?" He ask to kazu.
"Katana? You used curved sword skill?" Kazu ask him back.
"Yeah, and I never get a good katana from drop item. Your sword on your back, is it from quest? Or from drop item?" Nao said while pointing to Kazu sword.
"Un! It's from the quest in the horunka village. You need to find the item quest, Little Nepenthes's Ovule, that dropped from a Little Nepenthes. But the drop rate was very low. I think it's less than 1%." Kazu said explaining the quest.
"Little Nepenthes's Ovule? You mean this one?" Nao take out the item from his storage.
He often hunt monsters to sharpen his Sixth Sense and refined more his technique and skill, and because he don't need to sleep at all if he don't want to, the number of the monsters he killed was something unthinkable.
"Huh? How you get that?" Kazu surprised that Nao has the item.
"Well, I get that from drop item when hunting the monster. Ah, I have two Ovule by the way." Nao take the other item from his item storage.
"WHAT?!" Another bomb dropped to his head. He almost killed by monster pk when looking for it, and he get that alone and on top of that, he has TWO?
"Ahahaha~ I don't know that there's a quest like that. But the reward was not a katana, huh. What a shame. Maybe I will try it if it's katana. I think I will sell it next time then if this items was that rare." Nao said while holding the two items.
"I can't believe what I heard." Kazu really can't believe what he heard and can only shook his head in defeat.
The girl silently listening to their conversation not too sure what they are talking about.
And then like that they arrive at the towns gate and enter the town.
