Prologue

The sound of children giggling and snickering away filled the castle courtyard. Everyone who lived in the kingdom were filled with joy and purpose.

"I've got you, Zack!" The princess smiled as she tagged her best friend.

The two began to run around the courtyard again; only to be abruptly stopped when Delphine had fallen over, grazing both of her knees on the rough concrete and ripping the dress.

Zack's quickly went to Delphine's aid and smiled kissing her forehead, "You'll be okay I promise- Ah!"

A wrinkly and shriveled hand had a tight grip on his wrist, making the young boy's eyes shoot up only to be met with a face with pure anger, "Zack. You have been told many times before that you should never play with the princess! Our highness is blood royalty! You... You! You're nothing but a weak and pitiful peasant!"

"Step Mother! Please let go of him! He didn't do anything wrong!" Delphine pleaded her strict step mother, Amaria to let him go, to which she surprisingly let go.

Delphine quickly held Zack close cupping his tear stained cheeks as her step mother stormed away with anger. Zack hiccuped and Delphine couldn't help but kiss his cheek, "Don't listen to her, Zack. You're the strongest person I know and.. once you're the knight for our kingdom, you'll be the best and the strongest!"
