14 This Country's Shit

Tokyo, Japan,

Shibuya Ward,

Samuel POV,

Currently Samuel could be seen bowing his head to a police officer while scratching the back of his head with an awkward smile on his face, "I'll let you off this time Samuel... with this much damage, you should be taken in for questioning. Jesus, you know you fractured a man's jaw right?" a police officer that looked to be in his 40s said while shaking his head in disbelief and disappointment, Samuel came from a family that was well respected in this area and the police officers were local people, even their chief, so they let him off. They couldn't exactly prosecute him for what he had done, there were a load of witnesses that testified that what he did wasn't started in any way by himself.

Besides, he turned his head towards the 6 men that were being led to cars, these were criminal scum. Moebius... a gang known for theft, rape, murder and a number of other charges, they were had a fairly notorious reputation in these parts. "Yes, thank you officer." Samuel replied smiling with closed eyes as he bowed, thankfully no one was able to figure out that he fairly enjoyed fighting them.

Samuel ran back to his mother as the police officer smiled helplessly, sitting in his car. "You're not in any trouble are you?" Mei asked him with her hands at her hips, he had saved a supermarket and to some extent it's customers as well and if he got in trouble for that, then she would have a word with the police herself!

Samuel looked at magenta haired girl who was standing near a police car lost and found her looking his way, "See you again....gorilla.", he said before quickly walking away with his mother in tow, Samuel would now remember her as the gorilla girl that had attacked him for a box of cookies..... for a long long time.

The mother and son walked down the street and they certainly looked strange, the woman had black hair and a cheery smile and yet the teenager had silver hair and a relaxed smile plastered on his face. "You know you should get some new clothes." Mei said with a thoughtful look on her face, now that she did think about it, her son had no clothes to wear except his current ones.

"I'll buy some this week." Samuel replied rubbing his chin in deep thought, last he had checked, gang activities weren't on this level, they wouldn't dare to pull off something like daylight robbery. "Mom, you have any idea as to why they'd pull somethin like this?" He inquired not turning to look towards her. Mei, in response, looked up thoughtfully, "I guess gang violence has been increasing the past few years after that incident. Your father should know about this.", she gave him a simple and understandable answer. Gang activities in Tokyo or rather, Kanto as a whole had increased rapidly in the past few years and a number of gangs were now infamous.

Samuel pulled his phone out of his pockets and looked at her intrigued, "Can you tell me his number?", he asked politely and Mei gave it to him, not deeming it necessary to question him about where he had obtained the phone itself. It was pretty rare for a 17 year old to not have a phone in this day and age after all.

"Yeah dad, it's Samuel. Can you like, send me an article or something on criminal activities these past few years?" he asked respectfully, it was important for him to know all that happened around him and his father was the best person to ask, he ran a semi-large corporation that had shares in a number of businesses all over the world, he would naturally possess a fair bit of information regarding matters involving the gangs and yakuza.

"I ...understand." That was all Ren said before he cut the call making Samuel sigh in slight disappointment, his father was always like this at work and it was slightly saddening for him to not even attempt conversation. A moment later, a message with an attachment arrived from an unknown number and he smiled, "Dad's really competent.", Samuel said in slight admiration before opening the article and going through it rather quickly.

Mei only nodded smugly and walked beside him with a small spring in her step. It was always nice for a wife to hear her husband praised! Hm!

Tokyo, Japan,

Hayes Residence,

By now they had reached home, Mei was in the kitchen humming as she prepared their lunch. Samuel was sitting in the living room staring at the wooden ceiling with dead eyes, "What the hell.....why is that here?", he said dejectedly, at least he wasn't in Korea so he was mostly safe... for now.

Apparently, a few years back the Kanto region was controlled by a major Yakuza family and the gangs that ran rampant now were mostly silent. This Yakuza family was brought down by one single man whose name was unknown, his moniker though was infamous, the 'Waraioni' or 'Laughing Oni'. In a matter of weeks, he had completely decimated the family and then disappeared completely.

Following that gangs like Moebius, the Black Dragons, Night Dust and Ikebukuro Criminal Black Members etc had started making names for themselves one after the other performing numerous crimes including but not limited to theft, robbery, rape, murder, vandalism, damage to public property, extortion, kidnapping, drugs, prostitution and a number of other illegal activities. They had hands in major businesses and connections in major departments of the country, especially the police department which let them continue their criminal activities without major consequences.

"This nation turned to shit." Samuel remarked with a laugh, fuck was this? The country, especially Kanto, was filled with gangs that did as they pleased, controlling separate territories. Fuck kinda world background was this? Wasn't this life supposed to be a mostly peaceful one?!

They were the new 'Yakuza' of Japan and much worse than the ones before them, individuals which possessed enough strength to fight dozens of men without getting tired at all while the government remained unable to do anything to them. Samuel sighed scratching the top of his head, at least it would be interesting.

"No swearing in the living room." Mei reminded him from behind the kitchen counter, Ren too swore a lot, it was actually becoming a problem at this point. Samuel nodded at her words, "You got any idea where Amou's been?", he asked looking at her from the corner of his eyes, he thought he should pay that girl a visit.

"Oh yeah, she was on the news a while back. I think it was hmmmm, Aichi private something." Mei answered with a cheeky grin on her face, she did always think that girl and Samuel were a good match!

"Private Aichi Symbiosis Academy?" Samuel asked standing up, he wasn't wearing his jacket at the moment and with the shirt being a fairly tight fit, one could see the outlines of developed muscles, his shoulders were broad unlike one would expect. Though, it would just look weird if they weren't especially with his height.

"Yeah that! How'd you know?" Mei asked curiously, her son was in prison for the last five years, how did he even know it existed?

"Ahahaha...." Samuel scratched the back of his head laughing awkwardly, the people back in juvie shit on that place and it's claims of 'reforming' delinquents like them quite a bit.
