49 The Lady Shinomiya

Shinomiya Residence,
??? POV,
In a large and ornate room, a blonde girl could be seen talking to a black haired one with her hair let down though, her tone was respectful and her head was bowed. The relationship that existed between the two could be guessed just from this scene.
The room itself had expensive furnished furniture, a red carpet covered the ground and the bed too looked to be fairly large considering that it was for just one person. Red covers and multiple pillows could be seen scattered on top of it.
"Problematic however seemingly understanding. Initially comes off as rather passive but upon closer inspection, I've noticed that despite not showing much reaction he's rather stubborn about things and only moves as he desires." The blonde haired girl, Ai Hayasaka took a break, she had arrived earlier and was currently reporting her findings and observations to her lady.
Kaguya Shinomiya, daughter to the head of the Shinomiya Group, Ga'nan Shinomiya, and by all meanings of the word, a young lady that had both the intelligence as well as the mannerisms one would expect from an 'elite' of society.
"Well, he has to be like that." Kaguya nodded her head thoughtfully, the heir of a family such as his couldn't be a weak man.
"Evidently, he seems to not even consider any insult thrown his way." Haysaka continued, many people had different ways of looking down on those below them and this, was among the worst types. Not even considering the words of 'rabble'.
"...." Kaguya was silent, it was considerably arrogant but she too was the same so she had nothing to say about it.
"He seems to be a fairly trained martial artist and does treat women as he would men." Hayasaka slightly shuddered remembering the sight, he kicked a girl across the cafeteria for attacking him so definitely, he did believe in equality.
"What about personality?" Kaguya inquired, placing a hand on her bed, so far she had gotten nothing about his personality that was definite.
"Not a knight in shining armour but is fair natured. I've noted he takes his sister to and from school himself as well." All in all, he was fairly well natured. Perhaps the ideal person for most types of people, in a certain light, he was a 'bad boy' (as cringy as the term was) and in another, he was nice, humble, and polite.
"So... humble?" Kaguya slightly tilted her head, she agreed he could get people wagging their tails for him with his appearance alone but the personality sealed the deal.. Hayasaka nodded at her lady's conclusion.. as false as it might have been.
".....Sounds stupid, find a way to get rid of this." Kaguya hmph'd, turning her head to the side in slight anger.
"Kaguya-sama... nothing is stupid about this." Hayasaka reaffirmed, she knew why the girl was behaving this way and didn't quite like the reason.
"He doesn't look good enough!" Kaguya huffed, throwing a tantrum, she didn't want to marry him! Definitely not! She would marry someone of her choice!..... At that moment, the figure of a certain student council president crossed her mind making the girl blush a crimson red, similar to her own eyes.
"...Kaguya-sama..." Hayasaka deadpanned, holding up a picture of Samuel in one hand and another blonde boy in the other... It was clear who was more attractive between the two...
"W-Why do you have a picture of the president?!" The calm collected visage of the shinomiya daughter had crumbled in moments, this was a rather sensitive matter for the girl who was currently experiencing her first love.
"That's not important.." Hayasaka casually brushed off the inquisition regarding why she had pictures of a boy.
"H-He's not smart enough!"
"...He didn't even pay attention in class.."
"See?" Kaguya's mood clearly brightened.. only to be bludgeoned the next moment.
"Yet still left his own teachers stupefied with rather sophisticated answers." (A/N: Echidna.)
"How..." Was he one of those that didn't show up for class most of the time and still got good grades?
"H-Hm, he needs to offer me a country or two first for me to even consider him." Kaguya folded her arms trembling, she needed to call this off somehow. Wealth was the most important aspect ingrained into the girl and it was made manifest in her way of solving problems.
"...The Hayes have as much or perhaps more worth than the Shinomiya Group." Hayasaka stated blankly, each one of her answers akin to arrows striking the girl's heart.
"H-He's not as cool as the president!"
"So in the end it comes down to President Shirogane...." Hayasaka sighed in disappointment, now she just hoped her lady didn't come up with some outrageous way of calling this way which would strain the family relationships causing a lot of trouble.
"W-What about his relationships with girls? He's clearly one of those that want women just for power if he has no objections regarding this!" Kaguya protested clenching her fists as she shook her head in defiance, appearing similar to a child throwing a tantrum.
"Ah.. you really said it." Hayasaka sighed in disappointment, her lady was saying some really daring things here. These would clearly be met with retaliation if said to Samuel himself considering the man would talk to her on 'equal' footing.
"But no, I've observed nothing of the sort. Strangely enough, he doesn't seem to show interest in girls.." The blonde maid had her hands held together, in truth, she would have liked more times to draw up a more decisive conclusion regarding the silver haired teenager but Kaguya had never been the patient one.
"He's interested in men then?" Kaguya now had a disgust filled gaze.
"..No, he seems to be preoccupied. That reminds me however, he possesses charisma worthy of a Patriarch." Hayasaka rubbed her chin in thought, his speech and outburst at the academy where he lashed out at the male students had clearly affected them. Some had even stopped walking in a feminine way a few hours later.
"Maybe he's still a criminal then?" Kaguya mumbled thoughtfully, naturally they knew of his less than amazing background. At the same time, the sheer amount of money and the size of their empire completely drained it out. The current Shinomiya head was an exceptionally greedy man as well.
"I've noticed something rather strange regarding that. Before heading to the academy, I investigated the prison he was in. According to the warden, he was one of the most violent inmates they've had and yet got leave on parole because of good behaviour." The whole occurrence was filled with holes and a complete contradiction of statements.
"His family probably pulled some strings." Kaguya answered off-handedly, not quite understanding the gravity of what she had just spoken.
Haysaka placed her hands on the girl's shoulders, "Kaguya-sama, no matter what happens. You must not repeat what you just said." Her voice held a sense of urgency and seriousness, parole after 5 years was the norm for murder as a child and it quite possibly happened because this way they could retain more of their honour.
If someone started asking questions, they would probably be dealt with!
"I-I get it!" Kaguya pushed her maid off herself, what did she even say that was so bad?
"Anyway, I hope he gets involved with some girl so it gets called off." Kaguya sighed, not quite understanding the meanings that could be derived from her statement when it came from someone of her own standing.
Hayasaka Ai looked at her lady with wide eyes before averting her gaze,
"I... will see to it."
