38 The Fall of Yamazaki - I

Tokyo, Japan,

Hayes Residence,

Samuel POV,

Samuel calmly closed the door, walked back into the living room and sat down where he was sitting earlier, "What should we do now?" He asked looking at Mei who was serenely eating her food, as if her husband hadn't just run out of the house in anger.

"What can we do now?" Mei shrugged at her son's words, calm him down? Yeah no, that was impossible to do. Call him? Nope, she was his wife, she knew that he had most definitely broken his phone and would throw it away if he was called. Ren Hayes, was a man driven by intense anger when it came to matters regarding his family.

It could be called unnatural but who had the right to tell him off? Her? Certainly not, she was not the matriarch but rather the spouse of the patriarch. See no difference in this? Well then to clarify, she was the 'wife' of the family head and apart from offering advice, she didn't hold any real power in the house itself.

"What is.... happening?" Rin looked towards her mother, this was the first time she saw her father acting this way. "Ah well, your father is quite something." Mei smiled as she ate, there was a reason she had fallen for him after all.

Understanding that her mother was now in her own little world, Rin looked towards her older brother expecting an answer. Samuel raised his hand helplessly, pointing to the ground with the other, people who could fight bears and come out on top existed in this world as did people who could smash through steel and concrete..... his father was most certainly among these people.

"It's better if you just worry about school, young lady." Mei chimed in, not wanting the girl to have unnecessary thoughts. It was quite a bit into the night and Rin had school the next day.

Samuel sighed, shaking his head, "Some things are better left in the dark, you know." Now the man would probably be on the news in the morning.

"I.....do not understand." Rin looked down, why was it a bad thing to tell their father about what had happened? Wasn't it the right thing to do?

Samuel patted her head with a smile, "Well what's done is done." She was a child so probably didn't really know any better..... God help the Yamazaki though.

Tokyo, Japan,

Ren POV,

Ren walked onto the main room 'calmly'...or not, considering the number of veins popping out on his forehead. Earlier he had contacted his men, since when the fuck did some yakuza scum get off thinking they could touch his fucking kids? Samuel was the heir apparent of the Hayes! For Yakuza to even consider harming him was absolutely fucking outrageous.

He agreed that the system of their family was smart however, it was NOT something he agreed with. Trash like this would try their shit this way after all.

A white sedan arrived right in front of him just as Ren exited the street onto the road. The door opened and Ren quickly got in, the part of the door he used as support when getting in had been crumpled.

"What's the occasion, sir?" A man with a tinge of green in his hair asked respectfully, it was extremely rare for them to be called after all.

A family like the Hayes, were bound by honour more often than not. However, at the same time, they were not naive, not at all. While they had no real criminal activities, they did have both connections and a presence in both the 'upright' and the 'unruly' side of the world.

Ren lit up a cigarette, they had messed up for the last time here. "The Yamazaki think they can move without repercussions. They hurt my son." He muttered out folding his legs, those fucking dogs needed to be taught that the only reason they still existed was because they were allowed to do so.

"The Yakuza family? A fairly big one....." The man nodded rubbing his chin in thought, well they were criminals anyway so this time they could go wild and be praised by the media for what they had done or rather, were about to do. That and, those guys would pay for their stupidity.

At this time of night, a fair number of people were out and about and nearly all of them were awed and surprised by the sheer number of vehicles moving down the roads at the time. A singular white vehicle stood out like a sore thumb in the night, following it a great number of similar vehicles could be made out if one looked close enough.

The only difference being that these were black in colour instead.

"No problems on your end?" Ren asked breathing out smoke as he clenched his fist, he was going to pull out the clan head's teeth with his own fucking hands.

"Not at all, sir. We serve the Hayes after all." The man bowed his head with a smile, placing his hand on his heart. A private contracted force in name, a number of branch families in actuality, handling both the defence and the offence of the family. One would think they would have no need for such things in this day and age but no, this world wasn't as simple as the common man would think it to be.

With the criminal presence, such things were a necessity for the elites of human civilization.

"The police chief is on the line, sir." A man that had been on his phone ever since Ren had entered the car bowed his head, holding out the phone to Ren who grabbed it.

"Throw a celebration or something, you have one less syndicate to worry about after today." Ren spoke casually, the anger in his voice could be felt even by the man on the phone but instead of replying with anger, "I wish you luck."

The Hayes were a strange family indeed.

"Divert, the Yamazaki go today. Find every last connection they have, get rid of it." The green haired man spoke into his phone, and as soon as he did, a number of vehicles set out from different areas. An immaculate number of people had been mobilised. The Yamazaki would pay with their very dignity for the grave sin of attacking the Hayes heir and daughter.

To function and thrive in this world, one needed both power and knowledge, if the criminal scum of this world thought that none kept a track of their activities, they were gravely mistaken. The Hayes weren't the only ones with such power though, there was a reason anyone had yet to disturb the conglomerates that pretty much ruled the economy of the Land of the Rising Sun.

"Notifying all units, your are to steer clear and aid the vehicles carrying the Hayes symbol." A female voice came from a radio placed nearby making the three men in the car nod, it appeared that the police had no problem with this 'operation' of theirs.

Ren clicked his tongue, tapping his foot restlessly, he wanted to break something, he wanted to break someone, the fuckers were going to pay.

Not more than three hours later, a great number of vehicles had arrived in Tokyo's outskirts, near a large compound enclosed in tall stone walls. The walls had a traditional design to them and the door was also as traditional as could be, in the design of the Edo Era, to call it a castle would be more appropriate.

The two guards assigned at the gate were quick to respond and try to warn the ones inside..... only, a certain white haired man quite literally ripped off the door of the vehicle he had arrived in and threw it at them. "Sir, the damage! The car! Money! Sorry!"

It hit one in the head and the man fell to the ground, bleeding heavily, he wasn't dead but then again, no one would quite care if he was. These were murderers, extortioners, rapists etc, it wouldn't really weigh on Ren's conscious if he had died.

The other had a metal baseball bat hit his back and fell to the ground with a pain filled shout, a distinct crack could be heard earlier signifying that the man's back had probably been fractured.

The men that had arrived in the vehicles alongside Ren watched on silently, in admiration and appreciation, the Hayes were no normal weak family! This is how Patriarch's should be, not cowering behind their men but rather leading the charge.

"...." Ren silently walked up to his bat and picked it up, swinging it around a few times to get a good feel for it.

"Sir,...Guns or..?"

"We make a point here, Ryu." He nodded to the green haired man who smiled and turned around with his hands behind his back, "You hear that?! No Guns! Blunt weapons or fists! Your choice! These lot go today!" He shouted out orders, the men gathered were quick to comply and move accordingly.

"Sir!"

Neat rows were formed, they all raised their hands before stomping their feet and saluting to Ren.

Ren, though, gripped his bat with both hands before pulling it back, veins popped out on his arms and hands, then, he swung it at the gates.

A loud boom followed and the gates were blown apart throwing around both wood and stone,

"We never forget or forgive!"
