7 Cold and Wicked

The actor who played Uncle Wei cried out in pain. "Why did he really hit me hard?" he knows that in acting, some scenes require realistic measures to attain realistic performance, however he still grieved from being hit, so passionately acted his next lines. "Brother-in-law, you dare hit me? If I don't hit you back, then my surname won't be Wei!" so he punched the actor playing Uncle Rou on the shoulders.

He wanted to hit his face however, he still have some rationality left in him; an actor's face is his life. If he did not, not only would he be condemned more than now by the actor he hit, but also the director. The actor playing Uncle Rou winced in pain and thought that the other actor was too passionate in his acting, and so his competitive nature took over.

While the two fighting actors were doing their own acts on one side of the stage, the actress playing Aunt Wei was horrified. However, after looking at her co-actors looking engrossed in their roles, she also went back in character. She worriedly looked at her husband but was too afraid to go over as Ying Fan ordered her to brew tea. She ran offstage as per written on the script.

The actress playing Ying Fen and Jiang Yue were also confused by the turn of events, however they realized that they didn't really went off script. 'Ying Fen' stomped her foot at Jiang Yue who is still on the floor then sat beside her sister 'Ying Fan'.

Chu Lian, still as Ying Fen, reached out for a tablespoon of sugar and poured it on Ying Fen's cup. She continued pouring sugar about three-fourths of the cup and lightly stirred it. Then she gave the cup to the actress playing as Ying Fen.

The actress, thinking it was a part of Ying Fan's way of showing her care towards her sister, accepted the cup and happily took a sip. However, she immediately spat it out and unfortunately landed to the actress playing Jiang Yue who was at her feet.

Too sweet! How cold and wicked! How could she forget that Ying Fan doesn't like anyone in the household, not even her own blood sister. The actress playing Jiang Yue glared at the actress playing Ying Fen and the latter glared at Chu Lian.

"How could you do that?" she loudly roared at Chu Lian. Everybody on the studio froze; even the actors on stage stopped what they were doing. They all looked at the actress playing Ying Fen and wondered why she ruined the scene. Even the director frowned; he looked at the script and noticed that it wasn't the next line.

The actress noticed that everybody looked at her strangely, she then hurriedly explained, "She put too much sugar on the tea!"

The director was silent for some moment before he cleared his throat and said, "Let's cut there for now and review the scene." He looked at Chu Lian who was still nonchalantly sitting on the stage sipping a cup of tea she poured herself when she returned to her senses.

Somehow, her recollection of the rehearsal just now was quite vague and illusory. She felt that someone else possessed her body the entire time starting at the moment she stepped up the stage. She took another sip of the tea contemplating about the foreign phenomena that happened to her. Chu Lian was so engrossed in her thoughts she didn't even notice the weird glances thrown at her by the other crew members.

Looking at Chu Lian, the other actors don't know what to feel. Somehow they want to blame Chu Lian as the whole scene was so unsightly; heck they even got hurt one way or another! Only she remained unscathed.

Realizing that they've been hitting each other all because of the woman in the middle of the stage initiated it, rage filled their hearts. However, they were also aware that she wasn't entirely at fault; had they not been easy to go along her momentum, that unsightly event wouldn't happen. Also, she made the scene really realistic and they admit it in their hearts that she was really excellent in making other actors follow her.

They looked at her with complicated emotions and just decided to shut their mouths. The director stood up from his seat and was about to talk when a knock was heard from the door. A crewmember looked at the director and the latter frowned then signalled him to open the door.

A curvaceous woman wearing a knee-length black sexy dress paired with black stilettoes went inside the room. She held a shiny white purse in her right hand while her other hand placed on her waist; her hair was tied in a high ponytail accentuating her phoenix eyes. She wickedly smiled with her lips painted with red lipstick and said in an insincere tone, "I'm sorry for being late. You don't mind, right?"

The crew members looked at the newly arrived woman in confusion. Chu Lian also returned to earth from outer space when she heard the knock. She saw the woman in black and gasped in surprise. "It's you!" Chu Lian pointed at the woman with wide eyes.
