"You like her, don't you?" Lin Jing's boss asked his brother with a teasing smile.

"I do, she is not bad at all. . . not, she is good. She looks like the type of woman who would not give you too many problems in your two decades of marriage," he replied his brother thoughtfully.

"Seeing you take some time off from work to spend with your fiancée, shows me that you two have a beautiful future ahead of you," Mrs. Shen praised her son as she sat down to eat dinner with her sons and her husband. "You are also eating dinner with us on a weekday."

Shen Yan laughed and shook his head. "Mum, you are only overthinking. She is a nice lady and I am thinking of marrying her soon so someone else does not take her from me," Shen Yan replied.

"Seeing you smile so, I know she has won your heart," Mr. Shen, the head of his family praised his new daughter-in-law. "You need to work hard or she would leave you for someone else, you must have a lot of competition"

Shen Yan's smile disappeared as he remembered someone who for reasons, he does not understand makes him feel insecure in the relationship.

"She should also watch out or my son might find someone else," his mother supported him immediately. "I like her but if it does not work out well, I will find another woman for you," his mother reminded him.

Shen Yan smiled again and nodded. He saw nothing wrong in making their relationship contractual and he also nothing wrong with the intentions he was beginning to have about getting married to her.

She was beautiful, neat, and smart. It was hard to find any other girl among the many women he has met over time.

She was also independent which was reassuring as she would be able to manage their home because of his busy schedule.

"You can not be serious about getting married to her, right?" his brother leaned close and whispered in disbelief.

"I mean it. She is nice and easy to get along with. I would not mind getting married to her as far as she is willing. We will have a nice and peaceful home if I do," he replied his brother firmly.

Lin Jing's boss scoffed and began eating the dinner his mum invited them home to eat. He has seen many falls for Lin Jing's charm but he could not believe that his brother who seemed very cold even to his family members would suddenly have his heart melted.

"I heard you signed a contract with her," his father suddenly said amid their dinner.

His brother who has always been in control of his emotions and his expression, maintained his cool as he looked at their father while Lin Jing's boss completely lost his cool as he parted his lips and stared as though he had just seen a ghost. How did their father find out about that?

"Yes, I did. I would also sign a prenuptial agreement before I get married to her. I like to make things very legal to avoid getting cheated," Shen Yan replied not shocked that his father knew about it.

His father might be at home most of the weekdays but his father was always up to date. He was not surprised this was a little matter, at least he did not try to keep it a secret.

"You are not serious, right?" his mother asked shocked.

"Yes, mum. I do not trust her yet," he replied sincerely. He hid the content of the contract so well that his father could not find out and let them see only what he wanted to see. At least they knew nothing about it being a fake relationship as far as he was concerned.

"I am sure she knows you do not trust her and she must feel very uncomfortable with that fact," his mother sympathized with his fiancée.

He smiled and shook his head. "She was okay with it."

"Do you think she will let you see her dissatisfaction when she loves you?" his mother scolded him for being an unfeeling fiancé. "I thought she has changed you too much but there is still a lot she needs to change in you."

Shen Yan laughed. He believed they were wrong; he has a lot to change in her especially the cause of the bruise on her wrist. He would not mind accepting her sexual desires but he would not appreciate it if she has someone else who was satisfying them.

"Why are you laughing? I am serious," his mother emphasized and shook her head.

"Don't let anyone know you made her sign a contract, it would not be good for her image," his father warned sternly.

"I won't you should also take care of your health, dad," Shen Yan warned his father worriedly.

"You have had two boyfriends in the past and their lives were destroyed afterward?" Shen Yan asked as he drove to the movies.

Lin Jing paused and looked at him with a stiff smile. "What do you mean?" Lin Jing asked him seriously.

"I heard rumors that you ruin the lives of the men that mess with you. Two of them caused you to get hurt and they paid for it one way or the other. Should I call that karma?" he asked looking ahead on the road.

She scoffed and shook her head. "Do you mean I am some type of bad luck carrier?" she asked him leaving his question unanswered.

He laughed and shook his head. "No, I mean you have an angel punishing anyone who offends you," he replied thoughtfully. "Or should I call it a vengeance spirit? One of them is dead and the other in jail for crimes no one knew he had ever committed as well as the charge of physical assault to his girlfriend."

She sighed and looked out of the window. "Could you park?" she asked him firmly.

Hearing the coldness in her voice, made him glance at her with a serious expression. "Are you feeling offended? I was only joking. I am sorry."

"This place is so stuffy, I need to get out," she told him firmly. "If you don't, I will open the door right now," she threatened as she placed her hand on the door.

"Don't open the door. I will park," he hurriedly replied scared until he was pale by her threat.

He parked and she stepped down from the car with her purse.
