Her sister paused as that smile must have succeeded in making her heart flutter like it was meant to.

"You are not joking, right?" she had to ask her sister as she could not believe it. She was busy making a list of men she thought could stand on her sister's side for a fake relationship to protect her.

She knew the warning her sister was given and she wanted her sister to be with a man even if the relationship is not serious at all.

If he was a womanizer, she would have kicked him out of the room with a pillow since she did not want to harm a man that powerful or more like she could not harm him.

Looking at her sister and the man, she had to say that they will have very beautiful children together.

"Ruoruo, what are you thinking about?" Lin Jing had to ask her sister when she saw that healthy pink tint on her sister's cheeks and that dreamy look in her eyes.

"Nothing," Ruoruo snapped and further blushed as she avoided her sister's gaze. "I will leave you two together then." As she walked out of the room, she paused at the door for a few seconds to look at the man that had become her sister's fiancé and her future brother-in-law.

It was not bad at all but she did not know if she could trust the man as many other men had mistreated her sister because she did not come from a wealthy home like them but she wanted to trust that her sister's friend would not sit by and watch her get mistreated although it will be her biggest responsibility to look after sister just like her sister as always done.

"No, I do not," Lin Jing did not hesitate to tell her sister the truth because she did not want her sister to worry about her too much.

As she expected, Ruoruo sighed in relief and hugged her sister. "You must not love him until you can trust him. Do you remember what that man did to you?"

She shook her head as she tried without avail to keep moisture away from her eyes. "I do. It is all contractual and we have what we hope to gain from the relationship so no one will be hurt."

"I researched him and he has something to do with being abusive. I will trust that they are only rumors and they are not solid."

"I will trust that for now. It is not solid, to begin with, and when the time comes and the person that hurt me forgets that I was with that man, everything will return to normal. It is better than breaking the heart of an innocent man when I want to break up."

Her sister moved back and narrowed her eyes at her sister.

"Why do you look at me like that? I am not a criminal okay?"

"You just sounded so cold-hearted like an ice queen," her sister shook her head and replied.

"I always sound cool, you should know that," she told her sister without bothering to be humble.

Six months was what she needed to fully recover and she got her six months off from work and her fiancé had cleared off all the rumors they had to say about her on social media.
