1 The Prophecy of Ancient Old

The vastness of space can be daunting and terrifying, yet at the same time the emptiness and stillness is quite beautiful. But care, for in this darkness lures powers so old and powerful whose one breath can extinguish the greatest of stars.

To adventure in space is an enticing and thrilling experience, but without the right knowledge one small mishap can lead to an ensured death. Despite the known danger, mankind has ventured into deep space, countless planets and solar systems now under sure control.

How? You might wonder. The answer: Prophecies. During the birth of civilization, men and women alike stumbled upon figurines of an unknown material, polished yet rough, sturdy yet fragile but most of all, imposing. Hidden deep underground, on top of mountains and anywhere in between, they waited to be triggered, to bestow the people their Prophecies.

The Prophecies are an interesting story. When the first man came across a figurine, atop a small, grassy hill, he, of course, became intrigued. What is it? What is it doing there? What is its purpose? Questions like these raced through the man's head as he walked up the hill, sweat dripping from his brow due to the emitted pressure. Caution rippled through his eyes, wariness lingering like an aura around him, the figurine as still as space before him.

As he creeped closer, details appeared in his vision, the intricate sculpturing making its entrance. Standing tall at a remarkable height of 2.5 meters, the sculpted figurine exuded an air of commanding elegance and strength. Crafted with exquisite attention to detail, every inch of the figurine's form was a testament to the skill of its creator.

The man got into touching distance, his neck tilting backwards to take in the magnificence of the statue, reverence beaming from his eyes as he marveled at the creation. Sweat running down his face, the clothes damp. His mouth hanged wide open as he gazed at the wonder, taking in every inch.

The figurine portrayed a fierce yet graceful female warrior, embodying both power and beauty in equal measure. She was adorned in a resplendent suit of armor that encased her body in intricate plates and ornate detailing. The armor itself seemed to tell a story of battles fought and victories won, with delicate etchings depicting scenes of mythical creatures, epic landscapes, and swirling patterns that evoked a sense of movement in the mind of the awestruck being beneath her.

After a moment of the man's eyes wandering, they soon settled on a protruding part of the figurine's chest, a magnificent 7-pointed star. Each point of the star was meticulously shaped and adorned with intricate patterns, catching the light in a mesmerizing display of craftsmanship. This symbol seemed, to the man, to radiate an otherworldly energy, capturing his gaze and drawing it into its hidden depths.

Draggin his eyes away from the star, the man stumbled backwards, falling on his knees, the pressure unbearable. His vision grew blurry, his breath ragged as he struggled to maintain consciousness. Slapping his face he pried open his eyes, resting his vision on the sword hanging from the hip of the statue. The hilt of the sword was adorned with gems and intricate filigree, while the blade itself gleamed with an ethereal quality, seemingly reflecting the very heavens above.

Perhaps the most captivating aspect of the figurine lay in its hands—open and cupped in a graceful bowl-like shape, raised high toward the heavens. This gesture conveyed a sense of reverence, as if she was offering her victories and triumphs to the cosmos above. Her fingers delicately sculpted, each curve and line painstakingly rendered to create a lifelike appearance.

As time reached noon, the sun at high rise, the man could be found laying on his back, his eyes milky white, completely unconscious, the statue as still as a lake towering above him. Suddenly, the man's eyes snapped into place, his body scrambling to get to its feet. Before him, a beam of sunlight perfectly hit the 7-pointed star, lighting up the intricate etchings. But the man did not notice, instead he was already half way down the hill, a determined expression painting his sun-kissed face. In his head, the same words echoed:

[You are the Star. Seek out 7 brethren, they shall be thy Points. Take thee and thy points back here and I will bestow upon thee a blessing. A power.]

Thus, the first Prophecy was bestowed upon an unknowing being. His life would forever be changed.

.

.

.

But was this really the first Prophecy? No. Most definitely not. Although it was the first bestowed upon a being, the first Prophecy, The Prophecy of Ancient Old, is much, much older, and a real Prophecy at that, foretelling a great happening. A great change.

What is The Prophecy of Ancient Old, you might wonder, and in all honesty, no one knows. To this day and time, no one knows what the full Prophecy is, only the presumed first two sentences, which reads as followed:

[Overlooked by loving parents, the child of untold Prophecies shall be received by the universe in a sparkle of stars, their light giving way for a path, a path of eternal adventure, wonder and power. The child will be a child of many changes, both good and bad, thus beware of the might of the path of stars.].

Some people, mainly prophets like the 7-pointed star guy up above are painstakingly trying to decipher the rest of The Prophecy of Ancient Old, its full script scattered across the universe, hidden from sight.

And who am I, the guy telling you this? Oh, I'm just a simple wanderer, roaming the galaxies, waiting. Waiting for change.
