1 Beginnings Ch.1

Doctor: push. push. Almost there.

Brunhild: Get this beast out of me!

Doctor: I see the head. Keep pushing.

Brunhild: What Do You Think I'm Doing!

After a long arduous battle our Valkyrie Brunhild gave birth to a baby boy.

Doctor: Where is his father?

Brunhild: My baby boy does not have one . . .

Not wanting to delay further procedures the Doctor quickly changed subjects.

Doctor: What will be his name?

Brunhild: Omen. Omen Mist.

Said Brunhild weakly before passing out.

Time Skip 4yrs.-------------------------------

Mommy. Mommy. Where were you you? I haven't seen you in a long time.

Brunhild: I'm sorry baby. Mommy has to work alot and cannot be around much.

mommy why do I have wings and you don't?

Brunhild: seeing the bat-like wings coming from his back she became teary-eyed.

Mommy whats wrong? Did I do something wrong. Why aren't you answering?

Brunhild: No baby you haven't done nothing wrong. I was thinking about something important. How do you feel, are you hungry?

Hmm . . . Chicken nuggies and macaroni and cheese.

Brunhild: We will start your training tomorrow as I will be having more time off. It will be a little hard, but I believe you will surv- complete it.

Unbeknownst to me the dangers and pain I would face tomorrow and onwards. I just kept stuffing my face until is was full.

Brunhild: Thinking to her self. I will make you the strongest warrior that will decimate anyone you deem an enemy.

Waking up to my bed being flipped over and me landing face first on the ground with my bed landing on top of me I quickly crawled out from underneath.  My head spinning and wondering why my mom was standing over me. Mom What are you doing? I'm scared.

Brunhild: don't worry my son. Today we begin your training.  Don't worry everyone starts their training like this.

I was wanting to believe my mom but I had never met anyone else besides her . . . So I guess I will just have to bare through until otherwise.  Ok mom I am ready.

Brunhild: We will see. First up is endurance training. Start running until I stop you, now go.

But mom where do you want me to run?

Bam!

Grabbing my stomach where I had just been punched, I had tears starting to fall from my eyes. I looked up and saw my mom ready to give me a thrashing if I didn't start running. I ran out the front door and didn't look back in fear of being hit again.

Brunhild: I'm sorry my son but this is the only way to keep you safe. If the devils and my people were to discover you I'm afraid you will be killed.  I just hope these days of peace will last long enough for me to teach you throughly.  It will be agonizing at the beginning, but you will make it, you have to.

After running for what felt like half the day. My chest started hurting along with my legs and arms that felt like they would give out any second now. I then heard the oh so magical words, STOP! And I fell down not wanting to do anything else. Breathing in and out like a Russian race horse on his final lap I just wanted to sleep. But the thought was quickly put at the back of my mind when I heard foot steps getting closer.

Brunhild: Well atleast he has some of my traits and . . . Some of his fathers. Let's just hope he has a strong mind like me.  I started walking towards him, seeing him like this breaks my heart. But atleast he will live.  Get up! were not done.

I shakily rose and stood in front of my mother. Not wanting to get hit again.

Brunhild: We have alot of work to do. Here wear this basket on your back and walk towards the river and fill it with stones. When you are finished bring it back to the house. I expect it to be full when you return. Now hurry it will be getting dark soon.

Nodding quickly, I started a fast walk towards the river as it hurt alot whenever I moved. After filling the basket to a quarter of its capacity I could no longer stand the pain that my body was in. My body was screaming at me to stop, but I couldn't in fear of letting my mother down as well as the punishment I would receive. I gritted my teeth and continued on through the pain. After filling the basket I started towards home. I felt like I was torturing myself as I slowly made it halfway home. I started to pray to the Christian God in hopes that he would lighten the load that I was carrying. Suddenly I received a sharp pain to my head and I passed.

Brunhild: He should be here by now. I guess I will go and check on him.  After arriving, I can see him laying down sleeping out here in the middle of the forest. Short sigh with a slow head nod. I guess he will sleep out here tonight I will bring him one of his quilts so has a little warmth.

After waking up in the morning I realized that I had passed out and immediately started my way home.
