2 Isu Kreem

The mango sorbet in the plastic goblet he held had almost melted completely into a thick liquid because of the hot weather, Elia frowned and gobbled up the ice cream as fast as he could. Throwing the empty goblet in a trash can, along with the spoon, he dragged his luggage with him outside of the airport.

It hadn't been a long time since he got off the airplane, and now he was in another country far away from China, with a new identity and appearance. His black hair was dyed in light brown, and his emerald eyes were wearing rich brown coloured contact lenses, along with black classic way frame glasses. He wore black pants and a striped black and white shirt under an unzipped light grey hoodie.

Sitting inside a taxi, Elia looked through the window as his eyes were unfocused, he was lost in his thoughts and soon, he let out a low surprised sound with a monotonous tone.

'The paper note that I was supposed to send it to that old geezer, I totally forgot about it…'

He knew he had forgotten about something but he couldn't figure it out during the flight. Now, he remembered that he wrote a message to his ex-grandfather on a paper note inside an ice cream shop but because he was distracted with eating ice cream, he ended up forgetting about it.

Lazily scratching his head, Elia decided to stop worrying about it as he knew his paper note would be found by them anyways. Either way, he had nothing to do with them any longer.

Having to arrive at his final destination, he got out of the taxi after paying the driver and examined the appearance of the apartment before him. The apartment looked like any other apartments nearby, it was a multistory building located in a quiet district of the city. The fee wasn't too high for a university student to pay, it was enough for him to live there. Although, he did have the money to live in a much better environment. But that would only bring him more unnecessary attention, which wasn't something he wished for.

Since he had already prepared everything beforehand, after talking to the landlord, he received his key and directly went to his place. There were two bedrooms, and beside it was a well-ventilated bathroom, the kitchen was small but fully equipped, and lastly, a living room. Truthfully, he wanted a smaller place but thinking further, he settled with his current place. He could simply use the second bedroom as a guest room or renovate it to something else.

Nodding in satisfaction, Elia began to unpack his things before organize other important things.

After a week, he had finally settled down and organized everything, and at the very moment, he was sleepily yawning as he picked his phone on the nightstand to check the time. Seeing how late he was, he groaned and got up from his bed. After getting dressed, he didn't bother to eat breakfast and quickly went out of his apartment. If he didn't hurry, he would miss the bus and he would truly be late to class. Fortunately, the university he attended didn't take attendance.

Not missing the bus, he breathed out a sigh of relief and lazily sat on a seat as he listened to music with his earphones until he got off at his stop.

He was currently inside the university building, his morning class would soon start and he had no idea where it was being held. In other words, he was lost. Sighing, Elia randomly wandered around like a lost child inside a grocery store.

When he had enough of walking around aimlessly he changed his mind and went to the roof, planning to take a nap instead of going to the class.

Laying on the ground with his hoodie as a pillow, he closed his eyes to enjoy the breeze. However, he didn't notice someone else was already there, sitting on the top of the exit building on the roof. It was a man with dirty blonde hair, his piercing grey eyes nonchalantly gazed on the sleeping person. His brows were knitted. He was sleeping until someone opened the door below him, disturbing his nap. Seeing that the person that disturbed him was now sleeping so peacefully, he became even more dissatisfied.

He jumped off from the roof of the exit building and landed beside the sleeping body. The blonde-haired man frowned upon seeing no reaction from him, his right leg moved and kicked him without caring how much strength he used. Before his foot could touch the body, Elia swiftly opened his eyes and rolled to the side, avoiding the upcoming kick. Surprised, the blonde-haired man slightly widened his eyes and stared at the other man, with his foot still in the mid-air.

Placing his hand over his chest where his heart lied, Elia showed a frightened expression. "Aah... Tha- That was so close..."

His head was lowered towards the roof, his rich brown eyes were wide open, slightly watery, and his hand trembled. He lifted his flustered head up and looked at the person who attempted to kick him on the stomach.

"Uh-uhm... Who are you..? Why were... were you trying to kick me?"

His timid voice brought the blonde-haired man back to reality, he set down his foot on the roof and clicked his tongue once he looked at the timid looking man again. He wondered if what he saw was just his imagination.

"Who told you to avoid it?"

With a bewildered face, Elia stuttered, "Wha-What?"

Annoyed, the blonde-haired man spoke, "You disturbed my nap, how are you going to pay me back if not getting kicked by me?"

Elia got up and patted off the dirt on his clothes. "But I didn't make any loud noises..."

"You did," the man exclaimed. "You opened the door and closed it."

Taken aback, Elia eyed the blonde-haired man before him, he had two earrings on his left ear while his right ear had three. His black leather jacket was unzipped, showing his white shirt, and his pants were black, matching colour with his shoes. With his appearance along with his fierce grey eyes, no matter how Elia looked at it, he was no doubt a delinquent.

"Oh." He let out a single sound and then added, "Uhm... I am not a fan of being kicked, though..."

Sensing the dangerous glare coming from the man, Elia apologized nervously, "So-Sorry."

This time, it was the blonde-haired man that had been taken aback. He didn't know why the timid man apologized to him only because he didn't want to be kicked, where was the logic in that?

The timid man was trembling, his brown eyes concentrated on the roof, seemingly trying to avoid making eye contact and that only made him look more scared. Annoyed, the man ruffled his dirty blonde hair and afterwards, he let out a sigh.

"What's your name?"

Because he was surprised over the sudden question, it took a moment for Elia to answer him.

"Isu... My name is Isu Kreem."

Suddenly, a fit of laughter could be heard throughout the rooftop, the blonde-haired man held his hands over his stomach as he laughed as if he had heard a funny joke. In a flash, he stopped laughing and with a dead serious face, he grabbed Elia's collar towards him.

"You have one last chance," he warned, and repeated his question, "what's your name?"

Elia gulped nervously at the other's abrupt action. "My name... really is Isu Kreem!"

Afraid he wouldn't believe him, Elia hastily brought out his ID card from his pocket and gave it to him. The blonde-haired man gave Elia a strange look before he released his collar and snatched the ID card from him.

Looking through his ID card, it turned out the timid man told him the truth, his name was really Isu Kreem.

"For real?"

Upon hearing the disbelief tone in his voice, Elia pouted, "... It is not good to make fun of someone else's name."

This time, the blond-haired man laughed sincerely. "Yo, which parents would name their child ice cream!"

Becoming annoyed, Elia refuted, " My name is not ice cream but Isu Kreem."

His name wasn't truly Isu Kreem but that was his new identity so it could be said he was being made fun of by that man, although he wasn't exactly wrong. When Elia created a new identity, he didn't want to spend much time on thinking of a name so he decided to just pick the first thing he saw, which was coincidentally a cone with ice cream that he was eating.

The blond-haired man lazily waved his hand at him and told him, "It's basically the same thing." Ignoring the tears that threatened to fall from the pair of brown eyes, he introduced himself, "Ice cream, my name is Teodore Falco."

'Teodore Falco... Sounds familiar…'

Elia shyly spoke, "It-It's nice to meet you, Teo."

The blonde-haired man corrected him, "Teodore."

"Teo," Elia repeated.

"Teo. Dore."

"Teo."

Teodore darkly said, "I dare you to call me that again."

Elia blinked innocently. "Call you what, Teo?"

Teodore clenched his jaw and clenched and unclenched his hands as he tried to calm down. He wouldn't stoop as low as to beat up a weak, timid university student.

"Didn't I tell you to call me Teodore."

Nodding his head, Elia agreed, "Yes, you did."

"Then why call me Teo?"

Elia fiddled with his shirt nervously as he replied, "Be... Because you call me ice cream, so I have the right to call you Teo..."

Teodore felt the corner of his mouth twitching in annoyance, he didn't have the chance to tell him off again when he heard the sound of police sirens coming closer and closer to the building.

With a raised eyebrow, Teodore walked up to the fence and looked down to see a few police cars on the university parking lot. Quickly losing the interest to watch the police, he finally remembered the timid man but turning his head around, he couldn't find a single trace of him.

Narrowing his eyes dangerously, Teodore backhandedly punched the fence.

"You actually dared to run away from me? Ice cream, you got more guts than I thought!"
