8 School in Session

It had been a week since Sin began his nightly hunts, he and Ari had done around three quests together which did nothing for the girl's confidence as she was certain she would be repeating the previous semester.

Today was the day the girl would have her fears confirmed as Sherri escorted the Duo along with Claire, Sylvie, and Donovan.

As they approached Sherri decided to wish them all well before she left.

"Alright kids, good luck. I look forward to hearing about everything in your letters, don't wait so long to write this time Sylvie. We worry about you when you take so long, Ari have faith and remember to try your best. Donovan be nice, I don't want to hear anything from your master this year about you bullying. Sin..... you know the deal, keep Ari safe" spoke Sherri before she turned and left the group at the gates.

"Alright everyone get in line, get in line. We will be checking your Quest Finders to confirm the number of quests you have completed during your break. After this you will be escorted to the transportation circle, from there you will all be taken to the Training Camp" announced a relatively low level Adventurer.

Ari seemed to become more depressed as they got closer, and finally it was their turn.

"Hey get lost little Blacklister, this is for real Adventurers who have accomplished their mandated missions" sneered the Adventurer.

"Check the Quest Finder before you speak" cut in Sin holding up the device causing the Adventurer to scoff.

However his eyes were soon widened and his jaw dropped to shocking degrees.

"F-Forty nine...." stuttered the Adventurer before Sin took back his Quest Finder.

Ari at his side was wide eyed as well as she looked at Sin's back with awe, she had no idea about is secret questing.

The Adventurer however was about to stop Ari when Sin spoke.

"Come on, I want to see how this place has changed." called Sin which stopped the man's words before he spoke however he along with those within earshot were staring in surprise.

Ari, the least desirable party member managed to party with such a formidable person.

Sin didn't think too much of the act, he merely wished to see what this Training Camp was as he recalled the Adventurer training taking place within an old Castle.

"Who the hell is that guy" came the murmur from the crowd

"Forget that, why is someone like that partying with the Blacklister" came another

Similar discussions could be heard from those who had bore witness to the shocking scene.

Sin couldn't be bothered by it however Ari's head was dipped low and but her gaze would travel to Sin's back.

'When did he have time to do all those quests...' wondered Ari silently though she was thankful she still felt put off by the fact she had just gotten by on Sin's hard work.

However Sin was more focused on the changes that had occurred and couldn't help but find it odd.

Where once there had been a dreary nightmarish castle there was a lush forest with camps of differing sizes scattered about, some being as large as war camps while others were just unaffiliated parties who preferred solitude.

'Where do they hold classes then...' wondered the super thief.

He was still on the lookout for his old 'teammate' but it didn't seem there would be clear way to find him unless he tailed the traitor after classes.

"Oh hey Ari" smiled a girl with glasses carrying a large hammer.

She quickly came barreling towards the girl and and hugged her tightly with no signs of releasing.

"I was so worried you would leave me" cried the girl comically as Ari suffocated within the girls embrace.

Sin watched from the side somewhat strangely before Ari finally managed to free herself from the deadly grip.

"Alicia where is the rest of your party" asked Ari curiously as the buxom beauty was usually closely tailed by her party due to her clumsy destructive nature.

"I'm not sure, I think I lost them somewhere" sighed the girl before sulking.

Sin watched the interaction and sneered.

Seeing the look of disgust Alicia turned a wary glance towards Sin.

"Who is your friend Ari" asked Alicia setting a firm look upon her face.

"Ask me directly if you want to know something" snorted Sin at this girls little childish way of talking.

"Alicia this is my party leader Sin, he is actually the reason why I was able to meet the quota for the mandated mission. Sin this is my closest friend Alicia" smiled Ari though Sin spat upon hearing the word friend.

"Is there a problem with what she said" asked Alicia as a frown began to take shape.

"Oh nothing, just an interesting thought. I'll share at a later time" chuckled Sin in a patronizing manner.

'If you are such close friends then why aren't you on the same party' thought Sin as he felt he could see through whatever act this girl was putting on.

"Anyways..... what do you mean you lost your party" asked Ari steering the topic back on track.

"We were going to settle our camp in a new area but when I turned around they were gone, flying through the air as if they had grown wings" answered Alicia as her shoulders sagged.

"Well you can always settle with us for the moment, we still have to create a camp though" answered Ari as she was excited to be forming a real camp for the first time.

"No" cut in Sin making his feelings on the matter quite clear.

"Huh? How come" asked Ari surprised at Sin's tone of finality on the matter.

Sin didn't answer as he had already spoken on the matter, he just silently left causing Ari to scramble to catch up to him.

The girl was bothered by the fact that Sin, who she had begun to think was a wonderful person, didn't get along with her only friend.

"Sin that was very rude" commented Ari as the duo continued looking through the surrounding area for a good spot to make their Party's camp.

Sin merely cast a glance at her, he didn't particularly need her anymore. He was no longer under watch from the warden so what was stopping him from just ditching this girl.

'I have her back so she will have mine, that is a party' thought Sin.

However while the two looked for a place to camp a message was sent around, it spoke of Ari forming a party with a formidable figure who had annihilated the old rookie score on quests completed for semester break.

Several people became interested in this individual and began to seek him out to see what made him so special.
