Prologue

Campbell stared at the empty shell that had no life within him. This kind man had left college and taken a job at a construction site just for him. He would weld and fix cars just so his son could go to high school. This man had sacrificed everything for him.

Throughout his life, Campbell only knew and loved one person: his father. He had been an honest man who, through hard work and dedication, had gotten into MIT. He had already mastered the course. However one night's mistake had cost him heavily. The woman had mysteriously disappeared that morning and nine months later, he opened the door to find a newborn baby in a Fed-ex box with nothing but a bracelet and a few blankets swaddling him. A note on the box said "He is yours. DO NOT TRY to look for me."

His parents were shocked and insisted on a DNA test. When it proved true, they disowned him. However, using grants, his dad had enough to make ends meet. He took odd jobs as the companies would not want someone with no degree.

Campbell, like his father was a genius and by the age of three, he had mastered far beyond what an elementary schooler could do. He would constantly ask for more books and by five, he was on the same level as his father.

Unfortunately, great people die young. His father had developed a tumor and died. But Campbell's father said one last thing:

"I knew your mother and she knew me. Please do not get mad at her. She may have discarded you just because you were a boy, but I know that, deep down, she loves you. Please do not blame her."

And then, after singing a tear-choked version of Waltzing Matilda, he breathed his last.

For the second time as a toddler, Campbell cried(He cried the first time when Something sad happened in Endgame).

He remembered the nice days when his father would run home and give a hug, when his PS4 broke and his father helped him engineer a counter part, yep, those were the good times.

Lost in an abyss, Campbell was sad.
