At the STRONGHOLD ,

The truck was now parked at the backside of the base where Jonathan and carmel was unloading the loads while mark was chatting with breta .

Sally quietly looked at the materials and couldn't help but ask to mark

"So your boss said that he will come back later ?'

Mark paused for a moment and said

"Yes. boss said that he will come back later and sent us back "

Sally nodded her head and lost in thoughts . Breat beside her couldn't help but ask in curious

"How's the situation out there did you find any Survivors ?"

Mark shook his head and said "No we only found dead bodies and I think not many people survived after those weird mutant beasts started to enter city".

Sally couldn't help but say

"Mutant beasts ?"

Mark nodded his head and said with some fear

"Boss said that they were normal beasts but they mutated when the apocalypse arrived which made them stronger and have ability like us"

Sally asked in disbelief tone

"How did your boss know all of this ?"

Mark thought for a while and said with a matter of thought

"Because Boss is awesome and stronger?"

Sally shook her head in speechless . She started to wonder why winter was talking long time now , it's already been 12 hours since he left and I don't want anything bad happened to him since he treats me well.

"Cough..... cough "

It's too much for him to survive the self destruction when he was heavily injured . But luckily he had ran out of the research centre but still he now can even hardly breathe and what more the 1 minute side effects from consuming the STRENGTH POTION will arrive now which makes him dead sooner or later . Without hesitation he took a REGENERATION APPLE from the store and ate it .

He felt slightly better but his muscles were aching and he even felt dizziness which made him fall down instead of getting up. He again brought the REGENERATION APPLE and started to devour it .

After few minutes he can finally stand up but he was still in a mess now and his clothes were all torn while his right leg were aching badly. He looked at his side and found the dead body of the mutated GLOO which he took it and ran away but with the heavy weight of the corpse made him slow down which resulted in the heavy wounds.

After half an hour later he finally stood up with difficulty.

"It's looks like I need some days to recover or I could just try the healing POTION?"

He didn't know will it fully heal him or not. And also he can't consume another POTION within a hour when he drank the STRENGTH POTION so he could only wait .

"I hope the car is alright "

As he said he started to look for the duster car and soon he found it in alley with a bad shape.

It's all windows wee broken from the blast shockwave and it's back view were almost torn . When he hopped in and started to drive he found that car can be used without any problem so he dumped the corpse of mutated GLOO in the back seat.

He didn't directly go back tot he base but he went to the herb plantation and gardening lab center .

(The one he met Sally here and fought the elite monster here. The Plant and herb plantation lab facilities ) .

He will try to bring some equipment which are usable and when he had time he will bring more because He didn't want to do any work for now with his injuries.

After some hour he Finally dumped some lab equipment in the car and he barely had even the space to drive but he still gritted his teeth and started to drive .

The road was silent and calm with no sight of mutants or zombies but he knew that this is just the beginning of the Chaos !

After half an hour he finally he reached his base !

[WELCOME BACK HOST!]

The STRONGHOLD gave him the welcome greeting and he ignored it . He drove his car straight to the base and stopped it when he reached the back yard.

He hopped of the car and when he took a deep breath , he saw Sally coming towards him .

When he was about to say something but Sally said first

"Mr. Winter you are injured ? What happened ?"

Winter said with a long sigh

"That's a long story Miss Sally but luckily I fullfiled ur favour ".

As he said he opened the back door of the duster . The corpse of MUTATED GLOO fell to the ground and he pointed at the inside car where bunch of expirements equipment were laid out .

Sally "....."

She couldn't help but ask softly "If Im not wrong you have gotten injured when you were doing my work right ?"

Winter said with a casual way

"Since miss Sally is leaving in my base and doing my works . I have atleast need to fullfill her works right ?"

Sally bowed her head and said

"Thank you" .

Winter shook his head and said "It's okay miss Sally you don't have to be this distant from me . We are going to live here anyway "

His meaning was that he wished that she would remain here with him and work for him but sadly she understood different . She couldn't help but blush and said

"I-i will think about it "

Winter felt truly satisfied and he pointed at the corpse

"Miss Sally what are you going to do with the corpse ? You said you work from plants and herb plantation . Whats the use of this mutated beasts anyway ?"

Miss Sally chuckled softly and said "Mr . Winter what I said to you before was to bring a mutated plants monster type not beasts !".

Winter smile froze. He hurriedly looked at the mutated GLOO and said with a forced smile

"You mean -"

Sally cut him off while glaring at him

"Yes the favour is still not fullfiled "

"Fck"

By saying that he collapsed on the ground . Seeing this Sally become frightened and hurriedly crouched down asking nervously

"What happened to you mr. winter?"

He didn't open his eyes but said slowly before falling asleep

"I am just tired !"
