2 Ms. Dog Hater & Mr. Dog's Meeting (Part II)

Before he starts his travel to look for his permanent owner, he was given a piece of advice coming from the so-called "Dog Fairy."

"Now, now listen up! To become a human, you have to make sure that person can change you not only regarding physical aspects but also in other important aspects. That, my dear, will be your path to happiness!"

Of course, this is not an easy task for him. He already went to too many families, but still ended up being tossed away and abandoned. Some of them are rich and quickly replaced him, while others have health issues or were forced to change their residence. He has been through many trials before he even reached Eri. He is sure that this time, although she is wary of animals, she will grow used to it and eventually they will become close to each other.

Finally, the day has finally come! But what a timing fate has given to him, he was even misunderstood by the Victorio family. He transformed as a human while he was sleeping in Eri's bed! Of course, her mom will be gosh darn furious to know that her daughter's sleeping beside opposite gender, a stranger to add insult to injury. Guess who will be thrown out of the household again this time.

To his surprise, Mrs. Victorio just sighed heavily and called out Puti to the dining area. It was strange for him already to be able to stay in the household this long, but her silence was nerve-wracking. Finally, before she manages to speak again, she sighed a bit heavily.

"I'll let you stay in the household with the following conditions. Firstly, of course, you won't be able to sleep together with Eri in one bedroom. You can sleep there in the vacant guest room. Second, I'll provide all of your needs in exchange of a certain promise."

"Um, promise…?"

"Please protect my daughter at all cost and make her happy. I won't mind if she chooses you, just keep your promises. Keep that in mind."

Puti was left there, astonished. Does that mean he was accepted? Of course, he is, but he didn't see that Mrs. Victorio smiled without him knowing. Though he didn't get it when she talked about "choosing." Why would she do that, though?

"Looks like our house will become much livelier than ever before from this moment on."

...

"Good morning, Eri." Puti greeted the girl in her casual clothes cheerfully.

"Good morning, Puti. Ah, right! Someone sent you a letter this morning coming from the 'Dog Fairy.' By the way, who is she? Oops, gotta go! I have an errand at school today, bye!" Eri dashed out of the house after the conversation.

"Take care…" He only managed to say. Puti notices the food and a note on the dining table. Mrs. Victorio went out for grocery shopping, it seems. He then proceeds to eat while reading the letter.

"Hey, congrats for making it this far! But this will be the real start of your journey. Here are some important papers for you to become really 'human.' Of course, you will need a proper name, don't you agree? Just think of your first name, then I'll give you a wonderful last name. Trust me, you'll gonna love it!

P.S: This doesn't mean you are going to be permanently human though, you'll revert back into a dog every weekend. Don't say I didn't warn ya! Also, be careful out there! The only ones who can know your secrets should be the Victorio family and me. Be wary of the so-called 'scientists' though. If they find out about your situation, things will not be going to be pretty, I'm telling you! I bet you don't want to be part of their 'experiment' plaything, don't you? I don't want you, my dear child, to become a poor thing trust me!

Whoops, before I forgot the most important thing. Please don't call me 'Dog Fairy' anymore, that was just my alias! You can call me Auntie Aphrodite. That's all~."

Puti can literally feel a bit of a cringe realizing how he can totally hear his aunt's voice. Choosing a name, huh? He still can't believe that his dream to be a human came true. It's like he's hallucinating. His thoughts suddenly interrupted when Mrs. Victorio arrived.

"Enjoying what you eat?" She asked.

"Ah, yes. Thank you for the meal, Mrs. Victorio." He happily replied.

"It seems like you also received the letter. So how was it?"

"Um, do you mean the food or the letter, ma'am?" He asked, and that makes Mrs. Victorio laugh a little.

"Gosh darn, child! What am I going to do to you? Let's talk about the letter first. Is it from Aphrodite?"

"Yes, she already delivered the papers and said that I should decide my first name. Um, if you don't mind, may you help me decide my name ma'am?"

"Are you sure about that? I mean, I don't mind though but…"

"It's fine, besides it's my way of saying thanks for all of the things you've done to me until now, Mrs. Victorio, " he insists.

"You don't have to be so polite! You can just call me Aunt Ella, or if you like to, you can just call me 'mom' since you are now part of our family. From now on, your name will be 'Harold Noir Respecia.' As for the last name, I was informed by Aphrodite to tell you your last name when you already decided your name. How's that?" It seems like she's proud of her own work, but he just gladly accepted his new name. It was actually perfect for him.

"Thank you so much, mom!" He hugged Ella tightly due to happiness. She was astounded, and then she hugged back and cried a few happy tears.

"Mom, did I say something wrong? Why are you crying?" Harold panicked for a bit, but Ella reassured him.

"Don't worry, it's just that I'm so happy I cried a little! I've always dreamed of having a son, but I guess the wish actually has granted differently?" She laughed a little.

It was almost evening, and Eri finally arrived home. A tiring day indeed for her but her knowing that her mom is home makes all her fatigue go away.

"I'm home." She greeted and was approached by Harold who is wearing an apron. It seems like he was asked by her mom to cook something for them. A great sight indeed.

"Oh, hi Eri! Welcome back! Lemme help you with those and eat something first." He tried to get her stuff, but she declined.

"Don't worry, I can manage!"

"But you're tired, at least let me help?" He insisted.

"Puti, you're already part of our family. You don't need to make yourself a servant, okay? Just relax!" She held his hand and said those words with a smile. Sincerity can be felt with her words, so he also smiled at her gesture.

"Alright, I get it. I'm just trying to be a gentleman here, you know?" Eri just laughed at his statement.

"You might mean a 'gentle-dog!'" And both ended up bursting with laughter. At that moment, both of them felt something new and unusual in their hearts, like a flower just bloomed in springtime. Unfortunately, she just brushed it off.

"Oh well, I might just be paranoid." They said to themselves.
