5 Surprise Encounter.
It was a clean medium-sized room, with a tidy bed, a neat closet and a chest for putting your belongings that unlocks using the same key that opened the door.
The large-sized window allowed me to gaze upon the Babel tower. It set a fantastic sight with the contrast of the darkness and the lights on each floor of the massive structure, towering over all other houses and establishments.
As such, the room wasn't anything remarkable, nor was it bad by any means. It was what you would expect from your budget.
I was about to close the curtains, only after taking my time marvelling at the view.
I felt a gaze on me from the top of the tower and moved my eyes upwards only to meet with two amethyst-coloured eyes trying to strip away all my secrets.
After what seemed like an eternity, it must have only been a couple of seconds in reality.
'Well, fuck me....'
A sigh I didn't know I held escaped my mouth as my shoulders sagged in frustration.

I twirled the wine in my glass as I gazed down on Orario.
A single bottle is worth more than a third-class adventurer could ever hope to amass during their entire career.
Bored, I kept searching for any change to happen. Almost as if fate answered my pleas; two exotic ocean-blue eyes locked into mine. I didn't know why but I tried to see what kind of soul the bearer had. Those gleaming eyes compelled me to.
To my surprise, I couldn't see anything at all... I know for a fact, that there is one... I could even feel its presence— I was denied the right to witness it.
Something that has never happened to me in my long life. I could understand if I was capable of catching glimpses or a muffled vision even. But to completely deny me...
'Fascinating.'
My surprise and astonishment must have been evident. I could hear Ottar muttering with a hint of uncharacteristic panic in his voice.
''Is there a problem, Freya-sama?''
It took me a few seconds to recover. Unknowingly, a smile crept up on my face.
''Ottar, I just found someone very interesting.'' I said humming ''I am going to need your help finding them. Is that alright, child?''
''Of course, my lady. You only need to ask,'' he answered back. As loyal as ever.
I nodded acknowledgedly to his answer.
'How long has it been since I found something as mysterious in the lower world?'
For the first time in centuries, I found myself smiling in the wonder of a mortal.
'What more secrets are you hiding?' I wondered.

That was not on my to-do list for the day. I can't believe I got her attention the day I got here...
Although, I must say I am curious about how my soul might look. I hardly think it would be pure white. True heroes are fated to die.

I believe that quote shows the essence of heroes.
'I hope it's only fleeting curiosity... It would not be fun having an obsessive Freya on my back.'
The lengths she went for Bell were high, in her twisted way.
I don't want to think about it, for now, the best-case scenario is she takes the hands-free approach, the same as the little bunny.
I am confident I'll get myself going quickly if my recent growth was to note.
After making sure the curtains are closed, I took out the magic training manual and lay down on the soft bed.
I start to circulate the mana around me with no intent to inflict damage. We don't want to burn down or blow apart this fine room, would we?
The next two hours were spent with me feeling up my magic.

Although, it was not as bad as I thought it would be. I am tired, mentally tired, much like how you'd feel after having a shitty day at work only to find out your little sibling broke your non-work phone when you get home.
That kind of state.
You just want to grab a drink and forget what happened.
It is a weird feeling. I did not suddenly turn dumber or anything. I think an apt way to describe was that I felt like emotions might get the better of me.
I then dozed off to sleep.

As I was working my muscles in the inn's backyard, I couldn't help but catches the glances the young wife of the innkeeper would throw at me while doing the laundry.
I suppose it is natural. With my chiselled upper torso bare, coupled with a well above average height I noticed these last couple of days— and a pleasing to the eye face. That must have quite the effect on the ladies.
Alas, I was not that excited about her apparent interest.

''Is that so?'' She looked slightly downcast but then sent me off with a wave.
These last couple of days were mostly uneventful. I just spent most of the day touring Orario and tasting shop stand foods or training in my room.
I even had the famous JyagaMaruKun or potato puffs as others would call it.
I wanted to try and go the hostess of fertility, but after that escapade on the first day with Freya. I would rather stay out of it, for the time being at least.

I could at least use the dagger, the other stuff was rather underwhelming. I can't complain tho.
I kept heading towards the guild at a steady pace.
