40 Further descent.

------------------------

A/N:

It seems democracy has spoken. The stat information will stay in; as the vast majority wanted it to. Although, I have decided to only include the Falna stats from now on.

-------------------------

I climbed on the monster's colossal extended arm; it was surprisingly solid.

I swiftly made my way next to its shoulder. Its bones were callous. But, a very fatal combination of Holy Magic and my sword's quality made it easier to dislocate the shoulder from its sockets.

It was held by some sort of glowing magic stone... I assumed that it would be the end if I just shattered it completely.

The Rex just grabbed that arm and put it back in its socket. It somehow magically got welded back together. Other scratches and deep cuts on its skeleton were getting repaired by the second as well.

'Tsk. This stupid roided-up monster.' It seems I will get nowhere if I just sit back each time I remove an arm or two.

A heavy thud was heard. I dropped my armor, despite looking nothing too extraordinary, as a result of the shapeshifting magic application... It still did weigh a relatively high amount.

My upper body was practically naked now.

I dodged a slash coming from the boss monster. The difference I noticed admittedly wasn't massive, but I needed every advantage I could get.

Small ripples make big waves; it couldn't have been more right in this instant.

The whole yard was cleared now, it was just me and the stupid monster.

The thing roared, and multiple hands came out of the grounds. I jumped high to avoid them, but was met with a swipe mid-air. I couldn't avoid it in time, so I opted to block it instead and was thrown a few meters.

*Swooosh*

I only stopped by some brisk use of Wind magic.

'*Cough *Cough. Nice, it can even strategise now.'

This mutated fuck didn't give me time to regain my bearings. A thrust was heading my way. I barely managed to dodge it this time.

I couldn't let it abuse the long-range. I got into its close range, deflecting strikes along the way. When I got there, multiples hands greeted me.

I grinned savagely when it had both of its hands on the ground. It was the chance I was waiting for. We seemed to lock eyes for a millisecond before I brutally leapt at its head, it couldn't do anything but watch as I struck half of its skeleton before some more of the familiar skeletal hands came my way.

Its head was already getting fixed, and I didn't commit the same mistake as last time. I climbed on its arm yet again, grabbed my sword with both hands, and thrust it as deep as possible into its shoulder.

I dodged a punch coming my way, the dislocated arm completely dropped with the force. Likewise, I gracefully hit the ground, the next moment I jumped back on its head and did the same to its other shoulder.

Now it was a legless, armless, half-skulled monster.

Some sort of energy was starting to charge up from its mouth, I waited for a second and then teleported to the 36th floor and back.

The damage made me widen my eyes when I tped back. The entirety of the boss floor was burned crimson red. It seems like that was a dying attempt at turning the fight around.

'Hahah. I guess you could say it was on its... last legs...HAhaha.'

I laughed a bit until I realised how bad that joke was. It must have been the adrenaline.

With the pressure off, I loaded my sword with as much holy magic my MP reserves would allow and stabbed it between its eyes. The way those crimson-lit eyes were looking back at me was chilling, with a surprising amount of intelligence behind them.

This time, however, a maniacal grin fully manifested on the skull of the boss monster as its lights slowly dimmed out.

''Fucking hell. Just what am I missing here? Is this how it's going to be each time I enter here.'' I thrust my sword into the ground.

I had several spots of dry blood on my face and the bare portions of my body.

[ Udaeus' Black Sword drop+]

A monster drop from a mutated Udaeus, massively better in quality than a regular drop: the monster part that drops when the monster Rex Udaeus is challenged alone.

It was a very large slab of black steel resembling the shape of a sword. I ran my fingers through it, its quality was incredible. It had the same feeling as the bones of that stupid Udaeus on Steroid I fought.

I put it in my inventory and went to the small exit of the 37th floor.

After the exit, I came across a cave of sorts. It was a budget version of Rivira, a small area with just as equally small a pond. No monsters spawned there, yet it had open access to the outside, so that didn't amount to a lot.

I didn't stay long, safety floors were an irrelevant topic to me... I could just teleport out of the dungeon, albeit at the cost of a decent chunk of MP. Thankfully, there wasn't anything like Potion sickness or something that ailed me when chugging down potions like the madman I was.

I looked ahead of me with focused eyes at the 38th floor.

''This is where shit gets real. As they say, hard times make strong men.'' I shook my head.

An overwhelming, massive heatwave hit me when I entered the 38th floor. It was a picture-perfect image of hell. Volcanic eruptions every couple of steps, the dungeon walls, ceilings, and even the floor were of a deep red colour indicating the massive heat on this floor.

Deep black cracks ran through the entirety of the floor, adding to the creepy aesthetic of the whole place.

'Heat alone ain't got nothing on me, suck it the dungeon.' Although I said that, I was just actually regenerating faster than the little environmental damage inflicted on me.

A thin coat of wind and water magic went a long way as well in dispersing the heat. No one likes feeling burning hot.

[Fire Troll-Lvl5]

HP:2600

MP:600

The fire troll was a smaller orange-red Troll, it had fire all around it especially spewing from its mouth. Skin cracked, with black coloring in between. There was a group of six of them huddled together.

They immediately started throwing fire streams from the mouths.

'Woah! Fire-breathing Trolls. That's something.'

It was ultimately a slow stream of fire with not so much force behind it. It would have been better to throw projectiles.

Water spells were not that efficient on this floor. You lose a decent chunk of power to evaporation, but it should be their counter element so it evened out.

I was most comfortable with my sword as a way of fighting for the time being. There was no reason to use magic on scrubs like these.

The descent from the 38th to the 39th floor was without hiccups, for the most part. The major theme for these floors is going to be volcanic it seems.

It was a tough terrain for the unprepared.

'No wonder the Loki Familia had a tough time with their members around these floors.' I thought as I stepped into the 39th floor
