Adaeze walked staggeringly out from her mother's chamber and giggled, trying her best to run away from the maid who walked up and carried her up. Adaeze kicked and laughed. The Queen of Achala stood and watched this. Her daughter Adaeze had grown just few months ago she was still in her womb kicking. The Queen made straight to her chamber thinking about the King, her husband, who went to war with a thousand of his most trusted men for almost two years now. When she reached her chamber she locked the door and sat on the bed. She could still hear the giggling of her daughter. "Such a sweet giggle " she thought to herself.

On the night her husband left she had said to him, "you plan to leave your kingdom without a ruler?" She had said to him but the king, Obieze laughed in the air and held her hands, smiling and not saying a word. "Say something to me my king" the Queen had sounded worried.

"You know you look more beautiful when you worry about me. Have you forgotten the man you married? I am the king and I have always told you times without number that the place of a true king is not on his throne but on a horse. I have to ride out there and conquer lands"

"With who?" She had asked more worried.

"With my most trusted men" the king had said and held her hands firmly. " I shall return in no distant time" he had assured her.

While the Queen sat there she could recall his smile and his firm hands. She missed him. She missed how he warmed her bed. He didn't even know she was pregnant while he was leaving. She didn't tell him because she didn't want to cut short his dreams and aspirations. She wanted him to go and conquer lands like he said. But he was not returning and it was almost two years he left. The people of Achala were now on her neck to take over her husband's throne. The council of elders would be having the final meeting the next day, to decide whether to wait for the absentee king or to crown the Queen the ruler of the land. She prayed in her heart for her husband's return.

"My king, wherever you are please return before tomorrow. May the gods bring you back" she sobbed
