271 The Red Blanket

Xia Ling was waiting as well.

Li Lei shifted slightly and gently removed the blanket from her before draping it over Gu Lin's shivering body.

"He actually chose Gu Lin." There was some exclamation among the onlookers, a mix of indignance and disappointment.

Gu Lin held onto the blanket tightly as her spirits were lifted instantly. She was no longer shivering. "Brother Lei, I knew you were the best." She then turned to look at Xia Ling. "As for some people, they really shouldn't try to act like a phoenix if they're just a little sparrow."

"Oh, is it?" Xia Ling calmly said as she turned to look at Li Lei.

She wanted to know what this man was plotting. Given her understanding of him, there was more to it than just what he had done. Indeed, Li Lei's next move was to remove his own coat and place it over Xia Ling's shoulders.

"Wah…" everybody was awed.
