9 I HEARD

I HEARD_Voices whisper by the lockers and they would say your name and beat around the bush with words, letting your eyes turn blank like space. Their voices get louder, heads turning to me, that person who was carefully holding books and pretended not to be clumsy. You would look at me straight in the eye, your cat eyes turning so cold and full of rage as I stare. I would stare at you aimlessly hoping you wouldn't be like them .

Your group of friends were intensely staring at me even though being the centre of attraction wasn't my thing. I wisely showed my white teeth and looked down before meeting your gaze, illuminating my nervousness from anyone but myself and capturing the little butterfly that was trying to cause these butterflies–that you caused. I shrugged my head,'' don't worry they are just rumours."

I gave them my back , feeling the way l start to crumble by myself and only myself.
