21 "I am Happy"

"How are things going with the equalists?" Grandma Katara asked, taking a sip from her tea before her eyes settled on her grandson once again.

She had been healing a few men who had injured themselves when drunk; when the word came to her that her grandson had arrived, Katara had been both surprised and concerned; she had kept tabs on what happened in Republic City, the leader of the movement, Amon was gaining a lot of power, more and more people were joining him, that was a significant concern, she knew someone with a silver tongue was far more dangerous than anyone else.

Someone like Amon could gather a large crowd, a crowd big enough to force a rebellion, a big one that could cause the loss of hundreds of lives. She knew from her little bird in the White Lotus in the Air Temple how things were going in Republic City. Her son and grandson were trying their best to heal the cracks forming from the rest of the high council.

She had been half-convinced to pay her son a visit perhaps, give a bit of advice here and there, help him in any way possible, but when Naruto had shown himself, she had been afraid that he had come to tell them that a war had started, but thankfully that wasn't the case.

Through her bloodbending, Katara had noticed almost immediately from their heartbeats that neither her daughter nor Naruto was worried or sad; when she had walked inside, her grandson had greeted her with a big hug; sitting down, the blonde had explained everything to her.

"Grandpa Aang brought me here, and you know the rest," Naruto finished holding a cup of tea in his right hand, his left elbow resting on his knee, and his head resting against his left hand.

Hearing the incredible tale, Katara chuckled before looking at Naruto. "Incredible," she said, taking a breath.

"To think that you come from a different world, I knew you were special, Naruto; even Sokka always said that you would achieve great things, saying that someone like you would one day be the one people will look at when they see hope and future. You and Korra," Katara said with a sad smile, her voice tone lowering by the end, remembering her brother, one who was still known around the world.

Naruto looked down in sadness, still remembering the day when he lost him; he hadn't been around; he had been in the Air Temple when the word came that Uncle Sokka had lost his life in the battle.

It had taken months for Naruto to go back to normal, promising his uncle that he would help all non-benders, followed by his futile attempt to put a Non-bender in the High Council, of course, that was denied by everyone, some even calling it ridiculous.

"Tomorrow morning, I will leave. Everyone there needs my help," Naruto said, wanting to change the subject.

His mother simply nodded, understanding that the situation in Republic City wasn't exactly calm, and her family there would need every hand they could get.

"Understandable, my grandson," Katara said with a little smile, it was already dusk, and it didn't take long for everyone to go to sleep. The blonde was sleeping in his old room, a window on his room giving him a clear view of the ocean and the stars in the sky, making it look like an ocean filled with stars, beautiful and stunning.

Looking up, Naruto suddenly felt someone; his eyes turned to look at the moon but didn't see anyone there, just the full moon; the blonde could have sworn that someone was up there, was his imagination??

Naruto decided not to dwell too much on it before closing his eyes to sleep, feeling peaceful; his dream of a house full of laughter, his whole family was there, everyone he loved was there, and even his real parents were there smiling.

Naruto smiled, feeling at home; everything was so perfect.

Tomorrow

The following morning, Naruto had woken up earlier than usual, feeling well rested; the sun was just beginning to come out, the light of the sun kissing his skin, feeling warmth all around him. Naruto smiled, moving his hands; he created one of his most significant inventions yet, a fast-moving wind sphere in his hand; it was hard to keep it moving and not just burst out like many times before, resulting in Naruto being blasted away.

The blonde smiled, seeing the sphere not losing control, neither expanding nor shrinking, the size of his palm.

With a sly smirk like a fox, Naruto rushed towards the shore; the moment his feet touched the seawater, he expanded his arm forward, and the sphere expanded, bigger than him, before blasting forward like an explosion, creating a colossal wind wave that took the shape of a tunnel of wind, the water flew everywhere around, some falling like rain where Naruto was.

The blonde jumped in joy seeing his wind technique working; an attack like this could easily destroy an entire house, not noticing the way the water wasn't hitting him, every bit of water that fell like rain where Naruto was, before reaching him suddenly moved away as if an invisible force was around Naruto.

"Yatta, I Did It," Naruto cheered, jumping around like a kid.

Seeing the result of his training, Naruto turned around, not noticing that his clothes weren't wet despite the blast of water.

Walking inside, he started making a meal for his family; since he would leave today, he decided that he should be the one to cook.

Preparing his ingredients, Naruto started cooking; after ten minutes, the blonde was spinning the pieces of garlic around, making sure they wouldn't get burnt, before adding two eggs, one of his favorite dishes.

Hearing footsteps, Naruto knew it was his grandmother who, despite her old age, could still walk perfectly around as if she was still in her youth.

"Good Morning, grandma," Naruto greeted her, smiling before turning his attention back to his dish.

"Good morning, Naruto," she greeted him, liking the pleasing aroma of the food.

Soon Naruto was done, with a little help from Katara, who persisted in helping him despite his protest.

Some things never change, Naruto thought with a smile.

Soon they started eating breakfast when his mother woke up, eating together; they talked about normal things until Katara decided to ask something that Naruto really wasn't sure how to feel.

"How are things between you and Korra?"

Naruto went silent; the friendship between them had been strained slightly after the big party, with her asking why he hadn't told her about Asami.

It wasn't a secret to anyone that Naruto had liked Korra back then when he was younger, but now, he wasn't sure what his feelings were anymore.

He loved Asami, that he knew very well. "I- well, better, I would say, she's still trying to air bend," Naruto answered, knowing his answer was a bit vague.

Katara didn't ponder more about it; she knew feelings were a complicated thing, especially for young people. Soon the time came for Naruto to return back to the Air Temple.

"Send my regards to everyone, and tell Korra not to give up," His grandmother said.

Naruto nodded before hugging his mother, who kissed his cheek. "Next time you come, I will want to see Asami," she said with a smile.

The blonde chuckled before kissing her cheek. "Just don't scare her away," he mused with a smile.

Seeing her son flying away with Sozu, Kya's smile disappeared slightly, she had wanted to go with him, but the recent reports around the South Pole forced her to stay here and make sure nothing terrible would happen.

"Good Luck, my son," she whispered as Sozu disappeared from her sight.

Naruto

The blonde smiled, seeing the Air Temple slowly revealing itself on the horizon. Soon Sozu landed on the dock, and Naruto jumped, slowing his landing with Airbending.

Turning around, he grabbed a few bags of his before petting Sozu, who quite enjoyed it.

Facing the Air Temple now, he was surprised to see Asami walking toward him, almost running; Naruto didn't even have time to prepare or utter a word before she threw herself at him.

Naruto felt her soft lips against him; the blonde was surprised by her before returning the kiss, savoring the kiss, tasting better than everything else, his hands around her waist, her hands going through his golden hair, pushing him closer, Naruto felt her tongue on his lips, opening his mouth, enjoying her tongue, wet and warm.

The need for air eventually forced them to pull away, a string of saliva connecting them; Asami licked her lips, something Naruto found very arousing, something Asami noticed, feeling the sudden bulge poking her thighs.

"Wow, it's been some time since you had been so bold. I quite like it," Naruto said, earning a quick kiss from Asami.

"Well, I can show you how bold I can get a bit later," Asami said seductively; Naruto groaned, feeling himself uncomfortable because of his breeches.

Standing up, Asami looked at Naruto with a hint of concern, something he noticed right away.

"Are you alright, Naruto? I heard from Tenzin; what you were told?" She asked, concerned, her green eyes looking at Naruto's blue eyes.

Naruto understood she had been concerned, his thumb caressing her cheek; he gave her a small gentle kiss, showing all his emotions to her; the black-haired beauty kissed back, feeling her knees weak just by his gentle touch, his skin touching her soft skin.

"Yes, Asami, I'm good, I'm better than good; I talked with mom about- everything," Naruto explained gently; Asami put her head against his chest, feeling his calming heartbeat, her arms around him.

"I'm happy for you, Naruto," she whispered softly.

Sharing another kiss, they made their way towards The Air Temple; as they were walking, Naruto asked how she knew about the whole situation since he had been gone for a single day.

"I felt it; I don't know, I just felt as if you were in distress. I sneaked outside the house, coming here with a boat; I asked master Tenzin where you were, he explained what had happened, and I have been waiting here for your return," Asami explained, holding his arm with hers in the valley of her breasts.

Naruto smiled before chuckling, turning to look at his girlfriend. "I hope you have told your parents where you have been. I don't want your mother to get angry with me," Naruto said, knowing how dangerous lady Yasuko could be when she was angry.

"Don't worry; they already knew where I was when they figured out I wasn't at home; my mom called Master Tenzin asking for me, and I told her I would stay at the Air Temple for a few days," Asami said easing his worries.

Asami didn't really say anything about the way The Avatar acted towards her, more importantly, how she seemed to be avoiding her especially. Something Asami had noticed right away; it hadn't taken long to figure out; she knew where the problem was. Asami wondered how she could fix that; she barely knew the Avatar but knew she was important to Naruto; therefore, she would try to find a peaceful way to fix their problem.

Walking inside the Air Temple, Naruto was greeted by Jinora, Ikki, and Meelo, who hugged Naruto tightly.

"Where were you?" Jinora asked, her voice muffled by his clothes.

Naruto chuckled before noticing Korra approaching towards him. Hugging her close, Naruto noticed the new way she was hugging him, a bit more intimately.

Reaching the restroom, where they ate, everyone sat down, Asami beside Naruto, holding his hand, hoping it would help him. Korra sat at his right, two feet away.

Naruto swallowed a huge breath, but Tenzin sent him a reassuring nod; he remembered his words, and his family would not see him differently.

Finding his resolve, Naruto soon explained everything about his origin; the children wanted to ask questions as Naruto was explaining certain points of his story, but earning a disapproving look from their mother was enough to silence them.

When Naruto was finished, he waited for their reaction; the first one was Korra, who put a hand on his right shoulder, her blue eyes looking at his in a way that always calmed him, almost mesmerizing him.

"You're my dear friend; who are you, and where you come from doesn't change anything," Korra stated with sincerity, a light blush on her cheeks.

"Thank you, Korra," Naruto said, but then Korra kissed his cheek, much to his surprise. Pulling away, she looked away while playing with her hair, her face red like a tomato.

"She's right; to me, you are the most awesome Big Brother; whoever hurts has to Deal With ME," Meelo declared with a ridiculous bow of his head as if Naruto was a god. Everyone laughed at his antics, especially the blonde.

"Yes, to me, you are the big brother who always read good stories and wished me good night and good dreams," Ikki said, hugging him tightly.

Jinora walked up to him with unshed tears in her eyes. "They are right; you're my dearest friend," she started before hugging him close.

Soon the whole family shared a hug, one big Happy Family. The whole day, Asami stayed at the Air Temple, helping Pema to clean, prepare the food, and spend time with Naruto.

Korra kept trying to make an Air Bending move but knowing that tomorrow, she would have a pro-bending match with Bolin and Mako. After the match, she thought it would be an excellent time to ask Naruto to hang out together.

Soon the night came; Naruto was resting on his bed when he heard the sound of the door cracking open.

Opening his eye, he saw Asami walking inside seducingly, her hips swaying around, making Naruto hard.

"Asami!"

"Shhh, Naruto. I want to spend this night with you, my dear,"

Amon

Hearing the door close, he made the signal with his hand; his henchmen wasted no time coming out of their hiding spots; Amon saw through the small openings of the vent, his people taking down the guards around the corridor.

One of the henchmen punched the guard in the face right in a spot that paralyzed his face, smirking in delight; she was about to punch his spine to permanently paralyze him when the person they were supposed to take down opened the door only to see all his guards down, despite seeing that he was surrounded, he made no move to either run away or scream in fear.

Punching his spine, the guard left out a cry before his body went limp, falling to the floor, unmoving.

"You're hopeless now," one of them said, slowly approaching him; surprisingly, the councilman didn't look fazed or afraid.

"Amon, if you are here as well, then you made a fatal mistake," he shouted with his arms spread wide open; before the five henchmen could take him down, their bodies suddenly stopped moving...

"What is Happening?" One of them cried out in fear; the councilman smirked before his eyes narrowed slightly; suddenly, all of them were forced to the ground, their limbs moving abnormally, causing their bones to break.

"AAAAAHHHHHH" four of them screamed out in pain, but the fifth one didn't scream, something the councilman noticed right away.

A Bloodbender?! How?? She thought in alarm, yet not showing fear as Tarrlok made his way over to her with a constant smirk on his face.

Kneeling down, he pulled away her mask, showing a face with long dark hair covering her left eye, her mouth shut like a bear trap.

"Why aren't you screaming, darling?" He asked curiously before forcing her hand to smash against the floor repeatedly until it was bleeding, yet the woman didn't scream, not even a whimper.

Tarrlok narrowed his eyes before forcing her to open her mouth; his eyes widened slightly, just as he suspected.

"Where is your tongue, darling?" He asked darkly with a chuckle, the woman glared furiously at him, trying to stand up, yet she couldn't even move a muscle.

Before Tarrlok could ask where Amon was, his body suddenly moved around, his arms behind his back, forced into a kneeling position; the sudden control over his body forced him to stop his control over the henchmen.

The woman felt that she was free again from the blood control, standing up furious, ready to kill him...

"Stop, we are not here to kill him," Amon suddenly spoke, revealing himself, making Tarrlok gasp, now understanding it.

"You can..." before he could finish, Amon punched him hard in the face, knocking out a few teeth.

"Lyanna, take the rest outside. I need to have a little talk with Tarrlok for old times' sake,"
