3 Girl in Red (Revised)

A dreadful incident happened back then. The red-haired girl that manages to escape on the event was on the edge of the kingdom. In the city where the front gate of the kingdom located.

She was the only one could survive in the kingdom assault. Because she heard that the man – the Paladin that could kill all of them was giving an appointment if they back off.

She was scared at first. But the hope that man gave make her want to change her life.

Now she lives on the dark side of the city. Tried to not get caught off guard. Although after escaping the murderer's event, she didn't know what to do except survive until the man came for her.

Day after day she was tried to be patient. But she just can't survive anymore in that city because of she being found out by a guard and labeled as a little criminal. Her status is wanted because she always stealing food in the market and people's houses.

She was being hopeless and almost can't trust the man's words anymore. But then faith meets her again with the man.

When she was in the market trying to steal food. She found the man who was giving her promises. The man was standing there, trying to buy a piece of bread from a woman.

But when she tried to meet the man, the guard that patrols the market found her and try to catch.

She can't get caught here when she manages to find the man. So she backs off first trying to meet him another day. The thing most important now is that the man lives in the city.

She ran off to the edge of the city and hiding in the park. Waiting for this day to be done and tomorrow come.

She feels that light of hope has come and surely that will be a route that a life she was dreaming comes true. She almost can't believe. Even smile that never comes to her beautiful face appears when she imagined what her future gonna be like if she manages to find the man.

Night has come and she still hiding in the park's bush. And at that time she heard someone footsteps coming from to the city.

She was alert and prepared to run. But afraid not that footstep only coming from one man's feet. An adult man she recognizes.

Short yellow-brown hair with blue-sphere eyes. His young tough expression telling he was faced so much battle and get over it alive. But in that expression, there is a painful feeling who anyone doesn't know.

Only she knows what the man face before that feeling come to him. Because she was the only survivor and someone who try to believe in his words.

The man walks headed to the forest. Maybe his house is in there.

She was want to run to the men. But when she remembering that dreadful incident, a fearful feeling comes to her feet. Even though she doesn't want to lose that hope the man was giving.

Slowly but surely she walks 10 feet behind the man. When they walk up far enough to the deep of the forest, the man stops walking and talk to her.

"Now can you tell why you following me?"

She quickly stopped her feet when she is a tree shadow. The man was standing there trying to analyze her.

She can't manage her feeling and don't know what to do except only standing there.

"Can you at least show yourself, little girl? If you do not intend to do evil, I will surely treat you nice"

The man's face looks softened. She intends at least to show herself. But what if he shows his claw and that bestial face of him again. She is really afraid.

"You seem to have business with me? What is that? Had we meet before?"

She wants to answer that question. But what if she tells him that they had met in the royal assault palace, he shows his hatred toward her.

"So we had met before. Am I promised you something?"

"Y-yes!"

Recognizing that he doesn't forget his promise, even though he doesn't know her, she is being so happy.

Hearing that she knows and has business with him, his face becomes soft and even he gives her a gentle smile.

"Then can you please show yourself? I can recognize you if you still don't want to appear"

At first, she scared that the man would get angry or mad at her existence. But the light of hope is in front of her, she can't stop there if she wants to change her life.

After managing her beat to calm down, she begins to walk slowly but surely. Showing herself into the light where the man could see her.

She walks with face down to earth. She doesn't want to know what the man response to her existence.

"It can't be—"

However, her imagination not as expected. In there, the man looks very surprised at her existence. Even his eyes glaring very wide at her.

"This can't be happening"

The man looks like he has seen a ghost. He couldn't accept what is in front of her. So does she.

That's not an expression what she expects, yet that's still scary because the man sees her just like the first victim she killed.

She doesn't want being seen like that. That scary face, she doesn't want anyone to look at her with that expression again. Especially by the man that killed all of her friends and giving her an appointment.

"Wait!"

Her instinct tells her to move back. But the man quickly stops her. The man tries to calm him down to not let her go.

She is trying to not run because the man might disappoint her. And in that time he mumbled "Does she the one who escapes..." under his breath, and,

"But, why, I think I already finish you all"

The matter here is the man can't believe what he has seen. Although she couldn't believe what she has done too.

The man remains still, waiting for her answer. She tried to search for some words to explain. When she is ready, she talks even though her mouth trembling.

"I – I was escaped... when you tell... us too... leave... and you promised won't kill us... and..."

She was trying to talk more. But fear overwhelms her and makes her stop talking.

She looks down and doesn't want to see what the man's response. She is too scared.

"I see. So it was true"

The man talks calmly, still, there are some complicated feelings come out from his words.

However, the man walks close to her. She closed her eyes to manage that there will be no harm she can get.

"I don't know where to start, but,"

The man stood there. Closely in front of her.

She tries to open her eyes. Surprisingly, there is a big hand of a man offering some help.

She lifts her face and sees the man look down with soft expression. There is no hatred or madness inside his eyes too.

"If you want to, I'll attempt to make your life better"

The man offered some words that she doesn't understand. All she does just glance at the man muscular face and hand.

Seeing that she doesn't know what to do, the man pulled his hand and back off a few steps.

"I think that a yes, right?"

Now he smiles at her. Even though she didn't know a thing that the man does before.

"Well, it's getting dark. So let's back home"

Home. A thing she had not to have before. But the man that standing there, offering his hand again and persuade her to follow.

Her fear slowly faded and she can manage to walk calmly. With the man beside her, she trusts that her life would be better tomorrow.

She begins to walk. The man follows beside her. They walk to a small hut located not far away.
