7 Time For The Spirit Ball

After Lucia's small comment we all immediately went to the box and went to the 13th floor. When we arrived we saw books, books, and more books. It was amazing. I walked around and found some books about the methods of magic. But in the entire library there were only three books about nature magic.

The books names were, Nature Of Plants And Animals, The Biological Way Of Nature, The Cycle Of The Wonders Of Nature. When I began reading I understood a bit more about nature. Such things as rotting, cells, rain, clouds, lighting. I then understood. I, as a nature magician, would be able to become really powerful.

Then I heard footsteps behind me. I turned to look and saw Rudeus holding a book called Darkness. It was only called Darkness. I guess that means he has the element of darkness. That sure is... comforting. In a way? I don't know...

Suddenly he spoke. "Hello Kalum. From what I can see you are studying... nature? Interesting. But does that mean you have the element of nature?" He looked me in the eyes and I was a bit unsure of what to answer. But before I could speak he spoke again. "Don't worry about it. I should not pry because there is no need to. You are after all my "brother"."

"Uhh, alright? But yeah, I am studying nature. It is actually quite interesting. But sadly there aren't that many books about it." I then awkwardly laughed and went to a quiet corner and begin reading again.

After a few hours I saw that it was sundown and then I sensed the box coming to the 13th floor. We all walked over and stood in front of it to welcome Samuel. And when he arrived he gestured for us to follow him so we did.

Then while the box was moving he said, "Everyone, the girls and boys sleep separated. Boys are on the 9th floor while the girls are on the 10th. That is all." Then the quiet trip in the box continued as we arrived at our rooms.

When me and Rudeus entered the floor, he went straight into a room without even saying anything to me. But I looked around and saw that this floor had a kitchen that seems to be powered by magic. It also has a single study. And the place I am standing in right now is the living room. And lastly there are three separate rooms.

I firstly walked into my room. I needed to read more of the contents of these books. I needed to learn more about my magic and how I can utilize it. But it seems like it is pretty general now that I think about. I mean, I can freeze water by lowering the temperature. I can also heat it so it becomes steam.

But that doesn't mean it is very powerful. Because it is only usable in the later stages magic. Heck, it isn't even that popular since it at least only be used in the 7th stage where you begin to be able to make pure energy and have more control of energy itself.

But I shouldn't think of it so much anymore. I should probably just relax for now...

My eyes begin to close and darkness envelops me. I can hear my own breathing. It is warm. So relaxing that I nearly can't even believe it.

But suddenly something woke me from my sleep. I could feel something. It was energy but... more pure than anything I had ever sensed before.

I stood up and put my boots and clothes on. I then walked to the box and went to the 11th floor where I walked outside. And there I saw glowing orbs everywhere. But as I watched them I gradually began to see the features of their bodies. Some were small people with fly wings on their backs. Some others were tigers, dragons, wolves, even small cuddly rabbits.

Then one flew in front of me. It was one of the small humans. It opened its mouth and tried to speak to me. But I shook my head and then pointed my ears. I couldn't hear it at all.

Then I saw energy come out of the tip of its finger and it began to write words. I looked at the small person as it flew round and round and round making words in the air.

The words said, "Young human, what are you doing out here. And how can you see us."

I answered the small person, "Well, I sensed energy while I was sleeping so I came outside to check it out."

The small person then said, "Hmm, I see. But do you want to join us since you are out here?"

"Sure. But what are you all doing?" I asked the small person who was still flapping her small fly wings rapidly back and forth.

"We are currently doing the ceremony of spirits. You simply dance so you can praise the great spirit emperor." She said while a worshiping look was on her face.

"But what is a spirit emperor?" I asked the small flying person.

"The spirit emperor is the leader of the four spirit kings and entire spirit race." She answered me with a smile on her face.

"Then you are all spirits?" I asked her with widened eyes of surprise.

"Yup!" She said with the smile of a child. Then she said, "Come on. We need to dance!" After that she took my hand and I began floating together with the spirits.

I danced together with the little spirit. And as I danced, I began to see that the other spirits were looking at me and her intently. I also felt that something powerful was watching me, but I continued since that was what the ceremony was about and because the little spirit didn't say anything.

And soon the dancing came to a stop and a booming voice was heard. "Hello spirits. I have chosen the winner of the spirit ball this year and that is the human. He was incredible."

A figure began to show itself. And it was a gigantic tree of which I had never seen before. Its leaves were greener than grass in the spring. Its wood looked stronger than any metal in the world. While its branches stretched longer than I could have traveled in all of my years of living.

Then the tree said, "Human, I will reward you for dancing amazingly by giving you one spirit guide, 15 crystals of pure nature element, and lastly a recommendation to the spirit academy which you will be able to enter once you are done with the 10 levels of a mortal magician." He then stopped for a breath before saying, "That is all. Time to return to the spirit realm."

Then all the spirits besides the spirit who I danced with disappeared from sight. Their energy wasn't anywhere at all either. Like they had completely disappeared from this world.

Then I felt a tap on my left shoulder, so I looked and saw the little spirit. "Hello. My name is Tiffany, but you can just call me Tiff."
