8 Little Tiff And More Magic

I looked at the little person with surprise. "So, uh, Tiff right? I have a question. What are crystals of pure nature element? And what is the spirit academy? And lastly, what is a spirit guide?"

She looked at me with a smile. "Firstly, a spirit guide is a spirit that is assigned to help you on your way to being an amazing magician. And that is me. The spirit academy is an academy for spirits. They learn about magic and stuff. And lastly, crystals of pure elements. It is the purest and most condensed form of the element of nature. The most uncondensed form is plasma, the next is gas, then comes liquid, and then comes crystal. And the reason why crystals of pure elements are valuable is because they are extremely rare to the point that humans would fight to no end to just get a single one."

"Oh... alright." I said with a shocked expression. But then I asked, "Well, what can it be used for?"

"It can be used for becoming more in tune with magic and your primary elemental energy or just any energy in general." She said with a smile on her face. But then she took another look at me. "No no no. We can't have you being this weak. You are only on the first level of a mortal magician. Hmm, we just have to wait a year I guess." She then floated over to me and absorbed the crystals of pure nature element.

She then landed on my shoulder. "Umm, what did you do with the crystals."

She looked at me with a sweet smile. "I absorbed them."

"Oh."

"Yeah."

"Oh..."

"Yeah?"

"..."

"Uhh, is something wrong?"

I looked at her with dead eyes and said, "You, you destroyed them?"

Then it was like something fell in place inside of her head. "Oh, more like I stored them for later use. That reminds me, you haven't told me your name yet."

I smiled at her. "It is Kalum."

"Alright Kalum. It is time to go study. Obviously this human studying is no good. We need to get you to the spirit academy as fast as possible."

I then walked inside the tower with her on my shoulder and we descended to the 9th floor of the tower. I walked into my room and Tiff began talking about all the different kinds of magics there are and mainly about my primary element.

"You see, in the three different paths you can choose in the 9th level, nature magic is able to become anyone of them. Basically, you are an all rounder Kalum. The spirit path is the same. All different kinds of energy are accepted into it. If you had fire, you could also choose all of the different paths. But darkness and light are different. Space and time too." She quickly explained there are requirements for which paths you can take.

"Then can you learn how to use different energies?" I asked her and she nodded with a smile on her face.

"Yes. But doing that would be better if you choose the path of the spirit. Because as a spirit nearly all energy is accepted."

"I see. But why are the different energies not accepted into different paths?" I asked her with a curious expression.

"Hmm, good question. You see, magic have rules just like science. It is isn't unpredictable at all. Therefore magic also has to follow rules. Let's take darkness and light for example. If you choose the forbidden path you are able to use all kinds of dark energies like poison. But if you choose light it will go into all of that holy nonsense." Then she stopped for a second. "Oh yeah, do not believe in that religion crap. You can if you want to but understand that magic doesn't have anything to do with god or whatever."

"I understand. Then does the spirit path have elements which they can use?" I asked her and she nodded in response.

"Yes. And two examples of that is life and death. Those two can never be a part of the spirit path since they need so much focus on a path which is suited for them." She answered me.

"Alright. But just one more question, what is the spirit realm like?"

She laughed when she heard the question. "The spirit realm is a place filled with nature and energy. There are also many creatures which are not spirits."

"Then what are they?" I asked her completely focused on the conversation.

"They are spirit beasts. Or at least that is what they are called." She said with a serious expression.

I didn't know at the time but I would be coming into contact with these creatures a lot in the future...
