14 A Bloody Encounter

The gigantic lizard had its mouth wide open in disbelief at what it just heard. A heavenly snake? It had never heard of such a spirit. But there was no other explanation than what it just had heard.

"Fine. Then show me your power." It said and I smiled.

"Sure. Then can you please project some of your energy into a ball for me?" I asked the gigantic lizard with a smile on my new and scary face of snake.

"Alright." It said with a deep voice.

Then it lifted one of its fingers and a very concentrated ball of energy was at the tip of it. Then it threw it towards me and I jumped at it while opening my mouth. Then as fast as it came it disappeared into my body and I felt myself grow stronger...

"User has reached high-lower level..."

"User has reached peak-lower level..."

"User has reach low-middle level..."

"User has reached..."

Tons and tons of information and words entered my head at a rate which made me scream in pain. I had never felt this much pain before besides when my soul went through transformation. Why is everything... becoming dark...

Lizard POV

The little snake had shocked eyes for a moment before I felt a booming energy surround him. It was similar to mine but different as if it had been personified by the little snake. He had devoured my energy!

Then the little snakes body began to transform into that of a... human baby. What was happening. Spirits don't receive human forms until they enter... the transcendence stage.

"What is happening to the world." I said with a sigh as I laid my body beside the snake as his body quickly transformed.

In the mortal realm, an unknown location.

A young man sighed as he looked at the old man laying in front of him. "Why is the world so cruel to have given me such power but no one to match it. But whatever. I just need to take what is mine." Then the young man firstly looked at a scared white haired girl with blue eyes. "Give me the royal amulet." He reached out his hand towards the young girl.

"N,no. Father said that..."

"Father is dead. I killed him." Shock befell the young girl and she began to shake even more than before while she put both her hands on her head and her eyes became those of a broken person.

She just mumbled words which couldn't be understood. Therefore the young man went over to her and slapped her in the face while he ripped the amulet that was hanging off of the young girls throat with such force that the gold chain around the girls neck was broke instantly.

Then he looked at the old man. "I want all the secret techniques of this place." He said and narrowed his eyes.

The old man just laughed. "You won't be able to live much longer boy. You see, the world is a big place and I have many friends who are currently rushing here. So don't..."

The young man cut the old man's head clean off. "Oh really? I guess I will just kill them too." Then he walked towards a girl with red hair who was trembling more than any other.

"Please, come save me Kalum..." She mumbled which made the young man smile.

"You can't beg him to save you. After all he is already gone. I killed him too." He smiled wickedly and the the red haired girl's eyes flashed with many different kinds of emotion.

Then she stood up and clenched her teeth in anger and said deeply, "I. WILL. KILL. YOU!!!" She then rushed forward but before she could do anything an invisible wall was made so she couldn't get to the young man.

"Young girl, you do not need to worry. I will take care of this young man. He is too powerful for you." A man suddenly appeared and looked down onto the young man. "Young man, you have done many bad things in this life. I will have to return that amulet you stole as well."

The man the disappeared suddenly and then he was before the young man poked him with his forefinger on the young man's forehead. The young man tried to move but he could not. The young man tried to close his eyes and he could not. And lastly the young man tried to open his mouth to scream but he could not.

Blood flowed on the ground from the body of the young man like a bunch of rivers flowing down a mountain. And from the blood emerged another man in a black suit. The man had black hair and blood red eyes while two grey horns protruded from the top of his head.

The man with the horns looked around and sighed. "What a mess this vessel has made. It was also quite weak." The horned man frowned with sadness in his eyes. Then they glowed as they looked at the man in front of him. "Oh? A magician of the path of heaven? Isn't that rare these days. People usually don't have what it takes to enter that path. How about it? Do you want to become stronger?"

The man looked at the horned man in front of him and his face became black with hatred and anger. "You, you are..."

"A true demon. That is correct. Not only that. I am also one of the four demon kings of hell. Hahaha." After the demon was done laughing his face became cold. "But enough of this small amount of fun. I have to find something by the orders of the devil himself. You might have heard of it. The item is a chessboard made by the gods. It is said that through it you can see the future of all realms."

"We have destroyed..."

"Yeah right. I already know that you goddamn angels are taking it for yourselves. Don't think you can fool me." The demon said coldly as he stared at the man in front of him.

"Do you demons wish to start another war? Do you know why we started one in the first place? It was for this very chessboard. After all, it was the most powerful gift of the gods." The man was silent for a moment before he continued, "Besides we don't have it anymore."

"What!?"

"Yeah. It was decided in a meeting between us that we would destroy it but... we couldn't. Therefore we have sealed it away deep in the abyss." The man said and the demon's eyes bulged outwards in disbelief.

"You, you angels sealed the, the gift of the gods?" The demon said as he fell onto his knees. "Oh god, the devil is gonna kill me for this."

"Whatever. Now why don't you leave this place demon. We don't want anything to do with you." The man said seriously.

The demon looked at him and smiled weakly. "Yes. I will be leaving now..." Then the demon made a portal and walked into it. But right before he completely entered he said, "Oh yeah girly, the boy is still alive." Then the demon walked into the portal as if nothing had happened.
