1000 Hours

In our bones, we knew the war was almost over. The world held its breath, waiting to see which side would make the final daring move. As fate would have it, the Ningen moved first. After word got out that the Ningen were heading towards Monterrey and had torn through South America despite losing many of themselves, the boss himself gathered all 300 of us. Hearing our orders it was a quiet day. To think a bunch of monsters torn through all of them in just a few hours was a horror.

For better or worse this would be my end. I leave Soldier Unit 815165 to my son. Although I hope he never needs to pilot one of these.

1300 Hours

When we arrived at Monterrey, things were just as bad as we'd feared. The Ningen had us outmanned 60 to 1. What none of us counted on was the support the Native Soldiers gave. We all heard the rumors of how they were making newer models, but we'd never thought we'd fight next to them, never seen them rip a Ningen apart with their new plasma weapons. It was magnificent. Sadly, there was only 200 of them and many were prototypes. At least the boss himself arrived. While it was still a suicide mission. At least the boss was here to go out with us.

1400 Hours

Surprisingly with the arrival of the boss himself, all 300 of us manage to fight them off causing, for the first time for the Ningen to retreat. We survived the battle. Though I can't say I'll survive the war.

2000 Hours

When the Ningen invaded South America and caught most of them off guard, it wasn't a surprise that we'd get called in. It wasn't a surprise that Mexico would try to fight them off. It wouldn't be a surprise for me and my fellow pilots would be sent to try and hold them off in a last ditched effort of survival.

What was a surprise was that we made them retreat, that we'd be able to get to Mexico City, that we'd manage to get the survivors to safety. Though I can tell that the surprises would probably stop now.

We all knew that the Ningen was an aquatic monstrosity, that they'll come back with more of them, that they'll be quite angry they ran away. That, won't be a surprise. Even as I write this down I can see them coming.

I can see my end too.

Goodbye,

Tyrone
