Leo's POV

I took a few bites from my sandwich and put it back on the plate, then I went to the kitchen to pour a cup of coffee, I peeked at the boy from the kitchen, and sure enough, he relaxed a little the moment I left the living room, I smirked and went back to the living room.

I sipped on my coffee while waiting for the boy to finish eating; I kept my eyes on the boy even though I knew that I was making him uncomfortable, the moment he finished his last bite I ordered him "Put the plates in the kitchen's sink then come and sit next to me on the couch, and keep your mouth shut."

The boy had no choice but to obey me so he moved automatically to the kitchen to put the plates, then walked towards me with shaken legs and pleading eyes, but for what exactly he was pleading, I have no idea, maybe he thought that I was going to fuck him or something, anyway, he sat next to me while making sure his body was not touching mine, I chuckled at his useless effort.

I leaned my upper body over his, which made him shiver furiously, I ignored him and grabbed his shoulder with one hand while the other grabbed his hair and pulled his head back to expose his neck, I licked his neck before I thrust my fangs in his fragile skin.

The boy gasped and put his hands unconsciously at my forehead trying to push me away from him to no avail; I tightened my hand on his hair and pulled harder which made his tears stream on his cheeks and his hands fell at his sides. When he stilled I sucked his blood.

We stayed at this position for a minute or so, I sucked very slowly to savor the taste, although I didn't dare to drink much since he is already very skinny. After I was satisfied I pulled my fangs out and licked the bite wound a few times intending to heal his wound, I loosened my grasp on his hair and ran my fingers through it to sooth his fear, after that I released him.

When I moved away from him, the boy hugged himself and cried his heart out, I waited until his cries subsided then said calmly "Don't worry about the wound, it will heal in no time, now remove your shirt and kneel in front of me."

The boy nodded his head and stood up while still shaking and took his shirt off, then kneeled, I stood up and transformed into my vampire form, I quickly put my hand over his heart, and emitted my magic to his heart and imprinted my mark on it, at the same time, I cut my index finger with my thumb's nail, just enough for one drop of blood to fall and shoved my index finger in the boys mouth, with this the servant seal is effective.

We use the servant seal to bound our human servants to us, if the human is not bound under the servant seal any vampire can manipulate his mind, the vampire can force the human to do anything or extract information from him about his master, so we always bound our servants under the servant seal which will protect their minds from any other vampire and ensure their loyalty.

I transformed back quickly into my human form and sat back down on the couch, the boy's breathing slowed down and he became calmer after the servant seal took effect on his mind, I looked at the clock and it was already about eight in the morning, I pondered for a minute before looking at boy and said "For now, go and get some rest, you can sleep in the bedroom."

The boy followed my instructions and went to the bedroom and lay on the bed, after a minute I could hear his breathing regularize, I guess he was so much tired.

I lay on the couch and turned the TV on, and closed my eyes while hearing some stupid show and thinking about what I should do today.

After about two hours I decided to take a shower then go out shopping. I went to a mall and bought a few changes of clothes for the boy and a couple of trainers so he can manage in the next few days until he goes to 'Vam', then Kai can arrange for him all his necessities.

I dropped all the shopping bags on the bedroom floor when returned home and found the brat was still sleeping. My lips twitched as I raised my eyebrow.

My hands itched for me to grab the quilt and pull it away from the boy, but I calmed them down and decided reluctantly to allow him to sleep for another hour or two, after all, it was hardly four at the afternoon and I'm sure he didn't get enough sleep in the past a few days, so I left the bedroom before I change my mind and wake him up.

I went to the kitchen and opened the fridge while wondering what we could eat, I usually don't have anything suitable for cooking since I have no idea how to cook, and all I have are some bread and some simple stuff to make sandwiches, like ham and cheese slices.

I thought about ordering some food from a restaurant, but I don't have a phone, because I don't use it. Usually, if I want to contact my family I use a mind link, and I don't keep in contact with anybody around here, so it will only be troublesome to have one.

I cursed under my breath and reluctantly made my way out of my apartment, in the corridor I could smell Jan's scent very clearly as if he was here a minute ago, I frowned and walked to the elevator and went down.

Just as I left the building I was face to face with the devil, he was on the right side of the building, standing near a car with keys in one hand and a cigarette in the other.

When Jan saw me he flashed me a big and innocent smile and walked toward me, I cursed again in my mind. I have enough trouble taking care of the brat in my apartment and now I have to deal with this walking headache. In a flash, the decision was made, so I pretended that I didn't see him and turned my head and walked to the left side of the building.

I could hear his footsteps were getting faster as he chuckled at my childish behavior then I felt his hand on my shoulder as he beamed "I didn't expect to see you now."

I turned around and looked at him with a fake smile and retorted "Oh, then how about you continue with whatever you were doing as if you didn't see me?"

He looked at me amused of my answer then put his arm around my shoulder and said as if he didn't hear what I just said "Where are you going? I will give you a ride."

'Doesn't he have anything better to do?' I thought before saying with an evil smile on my face "I don't want to trouble you, Jason."

His smile vanished in an instant and his lips twisted when he thought that I forgot his name again, I laughed mentally at him, well, he deserved it for stalking me. He looked at me with his eyes shooting fire and refuted "It is Jan, it is fucking Jan."

I covered my mouth with my hand and widened my eyes as if I was surprised while in reality, I was covering my mouth to hide my laugh and said with a voice I tried as much as I could to make it sound apologetic and sincere "Sorry about that, Jan." I amplified his name then continued "I will see you later."

I ducked a little and slipped from under his arm and walked away.
