12 Chapter 12

Jan's POV

I was sitting in my office at the company doing some work when I remembered last night's events and burst out laughing, I can't believe how Leo claimed that he is working in my company, at first when he said 'B' company, I thought he was mocking me or making fun of me, because I have already given him my business card the first time we met, but when I looked at him, I realized that he had no idea and was just saying anything to answer my questions.

The situation was funny, and the look of embarrassment on his face was priceless, but nevertheless, the fact that he has no idea that, it is my company is also frustrating, but who am I kidding, if he can't even remember my name, it is to be expected that he will not know where I work.

I wonder if he can remember my name now, I swear to god if he can't remember it the next time we meet, I will write it on a note and stick it on his beautiful face.

The phone rang and interrupted my thought, I answered the call only to hear Jone's voice, after greetings he said "Mr. Smith, I sent the information you have requested to your e-mail, if you want more information we can make a deeper investigation."

"No need for now, thank you for your service, I'll send the payment to your account like always." I ended the call and checked my e-mail and opened the e-mail from Jone.

First thing I saw was Leo's photo, 'What a lovely photo' I thought before secretly storing it in my phone, then I looked at the other information, his name is Leo White, so he didn't lie about his name, he is twenty, works in a fucking café, and lives in section 'G', he came to 'B' city three years ago, and before that he was somewhere aboard, no family, relatives or friends known, there are some more details and addresses, but there is nothing about him before he came to 'B' city.

After I read all the information I checked the time and it was almost four at the afternoon which means Leo's shift was already over, so there was no point in going to the café now, and I don't think he is going out tonight too since he is 'supposedly' will be spending the night with the fucker Arlo, the thought of them together irritate me, so I tried to focus on my work.

The rest of the day was without any event, I finished my work at the company, went to the club, and sure enough, Leo wasn't there; I finished my work and then went to my house.

The next morning, I went to the café which Leo works at, I took a seat and ordered a cup of coffee and looked around the café, it is a small café with a few customers, I really wonder why he works here, it doesn't match with his personality at all unless he didn't find any other job or something, but again, I doubt that he lacks money, his car is new, the building he lives in is expensive even though the apartments themselves are small, and his night activities with all the hotels and clubs he goes to coast money, there is no way in hell that his salary here can cover all this, so why the hell is he working here?

The waiter came with my coffee and said with a smile "Here is your coffee sir."

I looked at him, nodded and said "Thank you, by the way, is Leo here?"

He looked at me for a moment then said "No sir, he is off until next week, can I get you anything else?"

"The check please." I answered him.

He mumbled "Coming right away" and left.

I took a sip of my coffee while cursing in my mind; did he take a week off because of Arlo? What the fuck is their relationship? The way Leo speaks to him is clearly special and he treats Arlo with no restraints what so ever, and it is obvious that they understand each other very well too and I'm guessing that they have known each other for a long time, so, are they some kind of lovers with twisted relationship of some sort?

So many questions with no real answers, but there is one thing as clear as the sun, to catch a slippery slut like Leo, you need to be as shameless and rude as you can get, and that is what I decided to do. I finished my coffee and left the café, and went to a real state office.

I entered the office and rented an apartment in the same building and the same floor that Leo lives in, I even paid extra to have the contract and keys directly and made my way to my new apartment.

I went directly to Leo's apartment and rang the bell and waited, rang it again and waited again, the apartment was totally quiet so it was clear that he was out somewhere, I cursed and decided to have a look at my own apartment since I was going to live in it for the time being.

The apartment is on the fifth floor which is the last floor in the building, there are three apartments in this floor, the one to the left is Leo's, the one in the middle was empty until yesterday when somebody rented it, and the one to the right is mine, it has a living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, fully furnished.

I made an arrangement for a cleaning company to clean it and then went to my company to finish some work before going to the club.

At night I went to my house to arrange the things I was planning to bring with me to my new apartment, I packed a few changes of clothes, for work and for the house, and decided to go tomorrow shopping for the other stuff, like cleaning materials and some other necessities and went to bed.

I woke up early and went to my new apartment, opened it for the cleaning company and went shopping.

After four hours of roaming the stores, from one store to fucking another I have finally bought all the things I could think of needing and went to my apartment, it was already empty and clean, so I started unpacking and arranging my stuff in the shelves, cupboards, kitchen, bathroom, it was a fucking nightmare, after about three hours, everything was finally in order and I could relax.

Since today is the company's off day, I still have a couple of free hours before going to the club, so I made some snacks and watched some TV while relaxing on the couch.

After a good rest, I took a shower, changed my clothes and went out, knocked at Leo's apartment yet again, but it was still as quiet as it was yesterday, which made me wonder if he didn't come at all, which reminded me of the new tenant, it seemed to me that he still didn't settle here yet, but for some strange reason I have a bad feeling about him.

I shook the thought then left the building and went to the club.
