9 Eye of Agamotto and the Time Stone

I thought that since in the comics, the celestials made the infinity stones, then they should be able to easily handle their raw powers.

So, one night, I sneaked into the forbidden chambers in the library. It was easy, I had done it countless times before to absorb the books in there.

I lifted my hand and placed my palm on the artifact. I could feel the time stone's power contained with the Eye, power to wield all of time. I slowly absorbed the artifact whole and sat down beside a pillar. Great Sage started to analyse the runes on the artifact and opened it. There was a blast inside me, enormous amounts of energy spilled out, but luckily, my body contained it. The energy of the celestial suppressed it.

Great Sage started analysing the time stone, but it was hard. I sat there for the whole night, until finally the voice in my head rang.

As soon as the voice echoed in my head, a burning pain came from my chest. An oblong jade green gem grew out from the centre of both my clavicles. It kept glowing brighter and brighter as if charging up. This continued for an hour, the charging, and the pain. It was as bad as when I absorbed the celestial.

I spat out the time stone along with the eye of Agamotto and placed it in its original position.

I turned around and was just about to leave when I bumped into the Ancient One.

"What might you be doing here now, Lucifer?" questioned sternly the Ancient One.

I panicked and stuttered, "I- I, was just analysing the artifact, and tried to understand its powers."

By the end of the sentence, I realised it didn't need to be nervous, she had already known about my ability for a long time. But this was her first time seeing it in action.

"Well, did you understand it?" "Ah, it seems you've understood it well enough to replicate a weaker version I see. Interesting".

"But be warned that not to use its abilities too much and rely on them as them can corrupt weaker wills." She warned.

"I understand, I won't rely much on them, just as a trump card, probably." I reply.

After our little conversation, it was time for me to say goodbye to this place. It was the first 'home' I had in this world, so I got kinda emotional, but I knew this is not where I want to spend the rest of my life.

I waved goodbye to all the masters I came in contact with at Kamar-Taj, bowed to pay respect to the Ancient One, and step out in the busy street.

"Do remember that we will welcome you in the future as long as you stay true to your path. May we meet next time as friends and not as enemies." I hear the Ancient One's voice in my head as I walk down the busy street and disappear into the crowd.
