First things first, making armor

Phew, that was tiring. And I have unlimited stamina ! But at last, my work is complete.

By work, I mean the hunt and skinning of a boar. A fantasy world boar. You know, the ones who usually are as big as horses. It took two days - by that I mean litteral days, so 48 hours in total - for me to find, track and successfuly kill the thing. For the skinning it "only" took a few hours, it could have been quicker if I had had a better knife - one not made out of a stick and a stone - and if I had practiced more. Since, you know, it was the first time I skinned something.

So, how did I hunt this thing ? Well, after a first day in this world spent testing things and crafting stuff, I decided to hunt something. I may not need to eat, but gathering materials for a low-class armor involves killing things usually. Plus, with my Heirloom of Bones thingy, an armor with a few bones here and there would have some kind of boost. I don't know what exactly, but hopefuly something good.

So, after having decided to hunt something with at least a little defense, I started making spears. Lots of spears. Even after half broke during the hunt, I still have more than a few dozens. It's just a bunch of sticks with a stone a the end of each but it is effective. Proof : I killed a horse-sized boar. In a way, that thing's ridiculous size was very useful when Iwas tracking it so, thank you, freakish laws of physics.

Yeah, as implied, it wasn't hard to find. Something that big usually leaves plenty of traces, especially when it eats roots - did you know that's one of the things a boar eats ? - because, you know, you have a lot of uprooted trees afterwards. The tricky thing was sneaking up on it to stab it with a spear, usually abandoning the spear, and evading the mad charges that followed. Every time, after charging once, it ran away and I had to track it down again. So, now you understand why it took two days.

And allow me to thank whatever gods there are in this world for letting undead regenerate. I only got hit once but WHAT AN HIT. Even now I have a few broken bones - I mean even more broken than they are usually. But hey, it was worth it : apparently I gained a dozen levels. To be more precise, I'm a Level 13 Lesser Skeleton now. Yeah. I would have liked for leveling up to heal but hey, I'm not gonna complain. I definitely felt stronger after killing that thing but since stats aren't shown with appraisal I can't know for sure.

But what kind of madness struck me ? Hunting a horse-sized boar after all my complaints about my skeleton and how weak it is ? Well, it was actually perfectly reasonable : wood amor would work for protection but wouldn't hide much from view. The joints would show my bones and even if I hid it with leaves, it wouldn't be all that great actually. Proof ? That boar broke the one wooden shield I made. Yeah, that's how it hit me : I tried to block it. Its hide, on the other hand ? Well, it will be a perfect material. Good defense, good elasticity, looks good. Truly perfect for a leather armor.

Because yeah, in case you're wondering, I'm actually not done skinning this thing. Bringing it back home was already hard, don't start complaining that skinning it takes so long. Again, I'm working with sticks and stones here ! Well, technically the skinning is done, it's just the rest that isn't over. Separating flesh, organs and bones. It's almost done though !

[Dismantling of Level 16 Greater Boar over. You unlocked Dismantling.]

... You know what ? I won't complain that it's only now that I get this. Instead, I'm glad I'll never have to do this again. But now, after putting all of the meat in my inventory, the moment of truth : turning a boar's hide into leather.

Oh thank Hephaïstos Craft can do it on its own. Do you have any idea of all the things required for tanning leather ? Look it up, or don't, but in the end I'm glad I won't need any of this.

Here, all done, I now have an incredible amount of boar leather and a lot of boar hair on the side. Meh, I'll probably find some use for it later. Anyway, now onto making the armor itself. In retrospective, an actual armor isn't all that helpful for a skeleton, at least not the usual design. I should rather make some kind of long coat, to hide as much as possible, to protect from blunt hits and to somewhat hide my skull, and, on a side note, to look cool.

[You crafted Boar Leather Coat With An Hood x 1.]

Okay, first, new name. A cool one. Everyone, allow me to introduce to you the Forest's Hades' Coat. Made out of dark brown leather made with the hide of an ancient boar, ruler of the forest, this long coat, adorned with a hood, reaches the ankles of its wearer to hide as much as possible while still being comfortable and practical. Its buttons go from the collar to the waist and are made out of the bones of the same great boar as the hide. You'll also find a few spikes on the shoulders and at the end of the coat, also made out of bones. To go along with the coat I made some pants, just as defensive and practical but less interesting, and a shirt, again, nothing too incredible. In truth, since skeletons leave a lot of empty space in clothes, I added some bone platting everywhere as well as some kind of "skeleton" to keep things in place.

With the rest of the bones I made a bunch of stuff, an axe, a knife, a dagger, a sword, a hammer, a sickle and even a scythe just to look cool. Hey, I'm a skeleton wearing something called Hades' Coat, not having a scythe would be a crime. Besides I used a tusk on it so I'm not throwing it away. The other tusk ? I turned it into a cimeter and some platting. I also made a new spear and a harpoon, just in case. The spear-harpoon, not the gun one. All I have is bones, wood and stones.

I still have a lot left so I'm experimenting a bit. For example, I made a bone whip : masterfully crafted pieces of bones linked by reinforced plant fiber. Dont' ask me how it works, it's made out of bones of a giant boar and it was made by a skeleton. Physics don't matter anymore.

Anyway, I wonder what I'm gonna do with all that meat.

Wait, did I just hear howling ?

I think I might just had an incredibly awesome or horrible idea...
