3 Chapter I: In Between... (Part II)

Looking at the sky...

-“What!! Why is it so gloomy all of the sudden?!... Don’t tell me it’s going to rain for real!!! No way!!” I murmured to myself again.

If I keep walking, I may find my way or even find some farmer and ask for direction before it becomes more gloomy and dark.

So, I kept walking. Soon my legs ached because of those heels.

‘What was I thinking when I wore them?’ Along with the complaining sound in my head, I heard the thunder what made me look up at the sky. It’s already dark!

I had no other choice just to keep walking… Until I heard the trickling water.

I took a few more steps and on the next step, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I am on the front of the sound source I can’t get more amazed than this.

There was a waterfall being gathered in such a stunning large lake that is surrounded by colourful flowers all around it and with their reflection on the surface of the lake made it more beautiful than any other lake I’ve ever seen before.

I was stunned by the view that made me forget where am I or what is going to happen. Until a voice that came from behind, that almost gave me a frighten “What are you doing here? This is private property!”

‘Oh my god! I got caught!... Okay, do not panic and act all helpless and cutie.... oh wait! what if he is a bad a guy and tries to rape me then kills me, cuts me into pieces and put me on the fridge to eat me later?!... but what if he is a nice guy would offer me help?.... ugh!! I can’t think... let’s choose---’

-“What are you taking so long to answer? Are you deaf perhaps?” The strange manly voice spoke again and cut the train of my inner thoughts.

-“I am sorry I didn’t know it’s a Private---property...” I said while turning around to face him...

The moment I turned around to face him, there is a tall and well-built man. Yet, his flattery natural dark caramel brown along with his stunning pair of hazel eyes with grey flecks. That gave him another strong aura.

Looking at me with crossed arms.

-"Had enough looking at me?"

The person who is standing in front of me was none other than the person I hate most in this entire world...

-“It’s you!” Yelling while pointing my finger at him.

He still gazing at me with his cold eyes. Yet, the silence remained.

-“What are you doing here?!” I said.

-“Shouldn’t you be answering that?” He answered back with a question.

‘Oh! Trying to answer a question with a question. Mmm, quite smart.. hmph!’

Crossing my arms then glaring at him.

- “None of your business!” and turned my face.

-“Look here, Miss! This is a private property I don’t care how you got here but you should leave .” He answered with an annoying tone.

Well, that’s what I am hoping for ‘Hehehehe’

-“Ow! I didn’t know... but I am not leaving!”

-“What? I don’t get it could you repeat...”

-“I said... I am not leaving unless you leave first. It’s not like you own this place.”

-“I own this place.”

-“Hmm... Wait for real?! Do you own it? When? How? Why?”

-“Look here, Miss, I think it’s none of your business to know all of that. But if you don’t want to leave, then okay suit yourself...” He said while turning around to leave.

Then he soundly stopped and turned back to look at me...

-“But, I don’t want your corpse to destroy the reputation of my place... so, what I mean is you can keep walking to the right and then take a turn to the left and die there... you will be outside my property by then...” He said with a smirk drown on his filthy lips.

'Ugh! I want to beat him!'

Following him, yet the moment I tried to pull him back I would get into an accident.

-“Hey! Wai--- Ahhhhh!!!!!!” The moment I tried to pull him, I end up slipping on the wet grass and falling back to the lake.

I've never thought that this would happen, I was going to just enjoy my last day of freedom. Yet, why is it turning out like this? Where did it go wrong?

Was it the day of that incident? Or the day I found out something I shouldn't?

Everything turning to be black... I am scared... I didn't realize that this lake was pretty deep... is it that's my destiny like that grandpa told me?

I am drowning slowly, everything is moving slowly... and here am I dying so slowly...

'I am scared...'
