18 Chapter 18: Lucia

Derrick had come back from Gutenberg his clothes were in a mess, he still wore the torn T-shirt and the boxers. He was planing to bath and get some sleep as it was still an hour passed midnight but he seemed to have grown a tail. Derrick look back to see but the maid had followed him.

"I am Lucia Doll I have been assigned to masters as a personal maid from today onwards and as your maid I am to be with you all the time."

With an innocent smile she introduced herself to Derrick. He could imagine what living with an unstable psycho would be like and her presence was going to deprive him of what little privacy he had. Her cute face which was a complete contrast to her previous character that tortured him prevented him from hitting her. Hitting a girl was the first for him in his life even in his mind he had never even thought of beating a girl and unfortunately a girl trying to kill him made him cross this boundary he didn't dare to cross. And staying with a person who once tried to kill him made him uncomfortable but this though only lasted a while and it wasn't like he could simply kill her off or kick her out from the room. She was already his property and under the terms of the contract he had to protect her but he still didn't know what kind of contract was forced on Lucia.

"Hmm. Lucia can you behave properly all the time."

"Properly? What is that?"

"..... Nothing. Just do what your supposed to do."

He felt that talking to her with words was meaningless he even felt like beating her into doing things but for now he wanted to rest and only a few hours were left until morning. He also had to get up early to go to the academy. Derrick stretched on his bed while wondering when he will be able to go to Gutenberg again and soon started snoring.

Lucia still stood their motionless staring at Derricks action and finally when she saw him finally going to sleep her blood red lips had tuned into a crescent.

Back at the laboratory,

Large numbers of black suits were gathered around the destroyed experiments and strangely a person was kneeling on the floor spilled with green fluids and shattered glass. He seemed to be one of the scientists as his outfit included a white lab coat with numerous pockets and various instruments within it.

His face showed a bizarre expression, it was neither happy nor a sad expression but he was both crying and laughing at the same time as tears leaked out of his eyes his mouth was curved into a smile.

"kekeke Is it misfortune?hehehehe. This is definitely not the end we did loose our precious Athena but kekeke we can still get it back. In fact we have a new guinea pig. Thank god it is indeed a blessing I'll dissect every part of the person who stole my dear Athena. I'll torture him to death."

Interrupting him was a henchman in suit.

"Dr. Joseph Ishii lieutenant general has arrived"

Joseph instantly abandoned his fiendish disposition and look towards the person who just arrived.As soon as the middle aged man made his entrance a dominant and wild aura enveloped the room suppressing anyone inside the lab and even Dr. Josephs fanatic character was nowhere to be seen.

"Sir, we might be able to find the culprit we have just managed to acquire some data from the time map device although no traces of evidence were found that could derive the DNA."

"Show me."

Joseph took out a round metal object and placed it on the floor. And in an instant the whole room lit up with blue energy recreating a scene starting with the moment derrick stole Athena till the fight between Derrick and Lucia, the scene was three dimensional and was shown in great detail but there was no image of the portal. And strangely Derricks face was absent the whole time.

"Why is his face blurred out? And how are we going to find him if we have no data of his DNA or an image of his face."

The domineering presence was constantly effecting Joseph as he responded while gritting his teeth.

"Although the data of his face is missing we might be able to restore it which will take some time but meanwhile we can scan all the citizens and individuals who had registered for entry into the capital and rule out individuals based on their height, body structure and movement behaviour. And from the looks of it the infiltrator is a kid of about 15-16 years of age."

"A maximum of one month, no questions asked."

As soon as he said that he walked away and the pressure was also gone.

'In one month I'll find you and annihilate all you family.'

Joseph had already made up his mind killing him wouldn't satisfy him. He wanted kill anyone related to Derrick.

Plasma World company building,

It was already morning Derrick was still sleeping on his bed but surprisingly he wasn't alone. Lucia was cuddling in Derricks arms and instead of her maid outfit she was wearing only an oversized T shirt which seem to be Derricks.

She had snuck besides Derrick as soon as he fell into sleep ,her behaviour was now more similar to a cute cat than a psycho.

Derrick felt his arm was heavy as he tried to lift it but to no avail it didn't not budge. Derrick felt annoyed as he opened his eyes he saw a very familiar head was using his arm as a pillow and genuinely Derrick could smell the sweet fragrance coming from her hair but for some reason he wasn't aroused at all sleeping with this beauty.

Derrick slowly lifted one of his legs positioning precisely near her round bum and at once he put some amount of strength kicking her off the bed.

Lucia as expected woke up as she rubbed her eyes and she wasn't even aware that she was actually kicked off the bed by Derrick.

Derrick didn't bother to look at Lucia as his attention landed on his wrist but the holo watch was actually missing from his wrist. He hadn't even looked at the email sent by the academy yet. He still needed to know his awakened ability and his attributes and even if he did fail he wasn't aware of which department he was assigned to. Derrick was practically blind at the moment or when he entered the academy.
