14 Chapter 14: An impossible mission.

Derrick was in a dilemma, his mission was not to spy, not to become strong, not to save people but to actually steal from not so big instead massive universal organisation who could kill him as easy as releasing a fart.

What was he supposed to do? He wasn't James break or Tom croose neither was he a man in shameless red panties or green super muscular gigantic man with always torn pants, who could rampage the world at will. He was only 15 years old, a baby dragon who had only realised the primary function of his for now useless meat hanging between his thighs a few years back. He had only realised the pleasure of being a man, god hasn't even granted him any special powers yet besides his innate super strength which was apparently useless compared to the soldiers of the lifeguards who could actually wield powers similar to heroes from some random hero academia.

This mission was practically a suicide mission, the contract he recently though was somewhat fair seemed to instantly transform into a contract with a devil waiting to devour his soul. Derrick had only experienced the pleasure of wanking at its best, the potential of his third leg was still dormant. He had never even seen the opposite gender naked in reality let alone have sex besides his humiliating experience of some unsatisfactory illusions and dreams.

Derrick only knew he was an F level human with only 3 stars.

"Heck no. I am not doing this mission at all. This is plain suicide. Even though I am a half-dragon who is a little bit stronger than a person of similar age as me I am still an F rank which is actually a level any weakest lifeguard could actually kill within seconds."

Derrick was genuinely furious, he actually looked like a broke mad man who was disposed off by his only beautiful wife while he was frantically convincing the books of how impossible this mission was. Moreover, it was the centre of the lifeguard academy he wanted to enter. The requirements of an official lifeguard soldier started at E rank which was a rank above his. Even though it was a single rank the disparity in strength between the two levels was immense.

The Lifeguard Council had constructed a system to measure a persons strength, it was a classification system. According to the classification, strength was classified into 8 levels, that is A,B,C,D,E,F,G and H. Each level was further divided into 5 ranks based on the level of energy an individual had. A star represented certain amount of energy. And derrick was F level 3 stars. It would really need a miracle to complete this mission. He would only be able to get into the academy before being disintegrated by the defence mechanism covering the black cube let alone steal what he wanted to.

"So, can't you change the mission, the difficulty to do this one is just ridiculous"

"Hey calm down kid, we are aware of the difficulty and we are not sending you to your death, your job is only to steal the object, leave the process of infiltration to us. And take this at least this should help you,this is the only card of uncertainty which is similar to the card of protection you already have but only superior.."

Derrick received the black card which Elder grimoire conjured out of know where. After hearing out Elder grimoire Derrick remembered he did receive a card from the demon lady.

'Why would she even give me the card of protection? Don't tell me she fell for me? No way. I think ill have to ask her the next time we meet after the mission but that aside how is these talking books going to help me infiltrate.' Derrick realised that the card was actually worth something when elder grimoire identified the item he was actually curious about.

"Your card is the card of protection it seems to have an automatic mechanism that will only reveal its effects when you are truly in danger and the black card is similar but you have to control it manually by charging it up with enough energy. And to remind you Although this card is powerful its effect is uncertain, it can release almost any type of ability effect but the effect might be large or minuscule based on the users luck, and who knows it might save your life or kill you if doesn't bring out the desired effect. Hence, the odd name the card of uncertainty.And I am handing it to you because it is one of the item granted to the master of chapters and who knows you might be lucky since you are the master."

"So, this card is practically useless, I think you should give this to a gambler instead, I don't want to depend on an Item i can't even control"

Elder grimoire kept quiet to Derricks response and similarly without continuing further Derrick put it inside his pocket completely different action to what he just spoke.

Derrick was curious about the reasons behind the demon lady's card but the current matter held priority, the thing that mostly interested him now was the process of infiltration, elder grimoire had talked as if it wasn't a matter of great difficulty. Derrick noticed that elder might similarly brought something out giving it to Derrick. It was a palm sized object blue and white in colour, its appearance was similar to that of a drug capsule. He was happy that he was given items and expecting the remaining two to also give some mysterious objects his attention landed on them,but to his disappointment there was no reaction at all.

So he ignored the two, pulling his attention back to the blue object in his hand.

"What is this?" Derrick was curious of what its effect was as he examined the capsule before giving elder might a stare questioning him.

"Hahaha, you should Find it out yourself. Crush it it when you are in trouble. Now elder grimoire lets open it"

Derrick didn't feel safe using a weapon whose effect he didn't even know but before he could proceed with his following question elder grimoire glowed as something similar to a wormhole gradually manifested. It was the size of a human, it surface felt like it was made of water as ripples appeared constantly. Derrick put the capsule into his pocket before approaching the wormhole. It has only been one day and now it was night , he was actually experiencing so many strange happenings in a span of 24 hours which he couldn't experience in his past 15 years.

He was nervous but he didn't have a choice if at all possible he didn't want to be a eunuch yet. As soon as Derrick touched the ripply surface he was instantly sucked into the wormhole leaving no trace of him behind where the books were.

"Is he really gonna make it Elder grimoire? I think the place where the A.I is located seems to have a few strong people he might actually die." Elder fox was the first one to speak up as soon as Derrick disappeared.

"I know, it would be a piece of cake to steal it if it was us but he might have to put in some effort. And we still need that A.I to actually guide him efficiently and effectively. If he can't accomplish this simple mission his worth as our master will be something questionable. And don't worry fox even though he is still weak, he isn't simple or dumb at all, he acts foolish because he wants too, his actual character feels shrewd." His expression didn't match what he said. Although it wasn't even a few hours they had met but he was strangely attracted to the kid. Elder grimoire was also worried similar to the others. They were experiencing the same feeling.
