11 Chapter 11

A Simple Fisherman in RWBY

Chapter 11

- Argenti Ovans –

So I was now in front of the PC as I inserted the Plasma Card inside the machine. I waited for a few seconds until something popped on the monitor.

I did a quick read, and it asked me to enter the password to turn off the security system. That's easy since I collected every clue needed to deduce the password.

I took out the small booklet I took from my trip to the basement floor of the ship, where I wrote every clue about the password.

1. 0

2. A four-digit number and the last number is 9

3. The first number of the password is 9, and three of the four digits are the same number.

...

9 9 0 9

So the code is 9909? That was simple enough as I carefully tapped the password on the keyboard and waited for the confirmation of the password. I continued to stay and to my surprise. The barrier went down and gave me access to the teleporter at the very end of the room. That was a relief! I didn't want to waste time anymore as I stepped directly into the center of the green plate. I patiently waited to get myself teleported into another room.

…?

Did I miss something and forget to press something on the PC? Because this is noOOOO—

One teleportation later…

—NOT WORking…?

"Huh..." I uttered as I blinked in surprise and awe. It was my first teleportation, and it was a fast experience. I wonder if I could find more of that teleporter plate and if they were easy to use for my own convenience.

"Wow," I exclaimed as I observed the big room I had arrived in awe. I instinctively hugged myself as I started to feel really cold in this new cagey area. This new room was really different from the previous area I explored as I became cautious of this place. Moreover, the lone building in the center of the room was really suspicious.

I cautiously walked further inside the room as my feet landed on the grilled floor. I soon took my feet back and looked around If I had triggered something within the room. I waited a few minutes until I relaxed and returned to the meshed floor.

My Mudkip jumped down my shoulder to explore the area alone until he stopped in fright. "MUUUDKIP!?"

I was taken aback by the sudden shout of my Mudkip, who immediately came to my side as he climbed my back. I was perturbed as I felt his trembling figure on my back. "What's wrong with you, Mudkip!? What did you—OHMYGOSH!?" I shouted in surprise as my eyes popped wide open when I saw him.

I felt a chill down my spine when I looked down at my feet. No wonder this place reminded me of a cage… because this place was where…

The motherfucking Kyurem was sleeping.

"Mud…Mudkip!" cried my Mudkip once more as I stepped closer to the center of the room. I held my breath as I observed the Kyurem locked inside a chamber. Fortunately, we were a floor above the injured beast. It seemed that the Kyurem was asleep, which wasn't a surprise since I could observe numerous injuries on the Pokémon, and I'd rather not wake up the slumbering dragon from his sleep.

And as much as it pains me to see Kyurem in pain because of Team Plasma, he was quickly my top favourite Pokémon, even more so when he is fused with either Zekrom or Reshiram. I don't think I could take care of his injuries. Moreover, I'm sure he could naturally recover from his injuries alone, even without my help…

Moreover, he is not the gentlest Pokémon when they depict him in the various media where he appears. Then again, this is real life now and not something created by people, so maybe Kyurem was a cute patootie…

I paused, glanced at the sleeping Kyurem again, and immediately shook my head. Even if he was, I wasn't willing to take this chance.

Anyway, my goal here is done, as I found an injured Kyurem. But even from here, I could feel the terrifying and tyrannical aura leaked by Kyurem. As expected of the legendary dragon, it was still a monster of his league even downed. I licked my dry lips with nervousness as I was ready to leave this place.

I'll repeat once more, but I'm glad Kyurem is unavailable since I don't believe I could do something against him, even more so when the current Kyurem might hate humans even more ever since Team Plasma captured him. As a prideful legendary dragon, it must have stung his pride when some lowly ants managed to capture him. The great dragon now bore various visible scars on his body.

I'm sure he won't be happy to see me even if I wasn't related to Team Plasma. In Kyurem's eyes, I was no different from Team Plasma, who caught him. Since I was human, it gave Kyurem enough reason to hate me, which was a shame, really. Since the big guy was still asleep and not doing anything, I was leaving first and not pushing my luck further.

"Muuudkip…" yawned my partner as we were no longer close to Kyurem. I also started to yawn as I rubbed my now tired eyes. I looked at my Scroll to check the time and was surprised by the time. It was almost morning, which was surprising since I didn't expect to spend much time inside the ship.

I glanced at the Kyurem one last time before leaving the room decisively and not looking back.

Unbeknownst to Argenti, had he turned to look behind him, he would have witnessed the stirring form of Kyurem. The dragon's massive, weak body shifted, and a single eye cracked open, locking a penetrating gaze on Argenti's back.

"...Human," growled Kyurem in a deep, echoing tone, the intensity of its lone eye unmistakable as it slowly closed it once more and slept in silence.

It took me some time to return home from the coast, but I arrived safely and didn't encounter anyone on the way. It was around 5 AM right now, and I could honestly hit the bed right now. However, I still had something to do before I wanted to sleep.

Mudkip didn't have much trouble as he immediately jumped down my shoulder and disappeared from my vision toward the courtyard. He was probably in the small water-filled pool that I prepared for him.

My Mudkip loved sleeping on the water whenever he could. I shook my head with a smile as I rolled my shoulders. I took out my Scroll and opened Valenturier's DM. And with no surprise, I didn't see him online, which was expected since it was early in the morning.

FisherOfBeauty: Hey! I just wanted to ask if you wanted anything in return for the fishing location you gave me. I feel horrible not giving you something in return, lol. So just hit me up with something, and I'll try to do it!

FisherOfBeauty: Also, it would be great if you have any advice for me when I go to your father's fishing spot tomorrow! I honestly don't know what to expect when it comes to poking around Forever Fall!

After leaving my message to Valenturer, I shut off my Scroll and took the stairs upstairs to my bedroom. I changed myself to something more comfortable to sleep. I also put the backpack on the ground and removed the incubator from within.

I curiously looked at the Pokémon Egg on my table and lightly poked the glass in fascination. I was curious and excited about which Pokémon I would get from this process. I hope it won't take too long before the egg hatches.

Oh well, I better sleep now and prepare for my trip to Forever Fall. I have never been to this place before, and I would like to have more information about this place before I dip my feet in.

Oh wait, I think Taiyang and Summer went there before when they were students at Beacon from the numerous stories they told me.

I should probably visit them later…
