8 Mother?

Akari's POV

Gramps called me to his office early in the morning. "Hey gramps." I said after entering the office. "Akari your early, I actually wanted you to meet someone guess she's a couple minutes late." Gramps said. "Well then I'll just go back to bed." I said turning towards the door. The door open as if it was punched. I rubbed my eyes to get the dust out and looked up to see a woman with hazel brown eyes wearing a lot of green.

"Hey there sensei. Who's this" She asked. "Tsunade the girl in front of you is Akari Kato." Gramps said. "Akari huh?" She mumbled before heading towards gramps. I walked quietly behind her. Gramps handed me a file and I started reading through it and I figured out that it was my file. My father was KIA, his Name is Dan Kato, and my mother is Tsunade Senju the person who was standing right next to me alive.

The file crumbled in my hand as I was so angry. She was alive and I still had to live my life like this how could she not be around and why did she come back now. My head filled with questions that didn't have an answer. "Akari." Tsunade called out to me. "I'll be taking you out on a training mission for a while, you should go pack we'll leave in two hours." She said casually. "I'm not going with you, after all these years your just going to show up and be my mother, I don't need you to train I'm already strong." I said letting my anger take over me.

"Akari she's your mother and she had a reason to leave you behind." Gramps said trying to calm me. "I don't care I'm not going with her she's not my mother, I'm an orphan and my parents are dead just like everyone says." I shouted. Tsunade's hand came near my face and in seconds I felt a stinging pain on my left cheek. She slapped me, does she's hate me just like those people. I thought. My head clouded up with many thoughts and my breathing got heavier as I remembered every time a person hit me because they hated me. I started seeing black spots before I was taken into an embrace.

Tsunade's POV

I slapped Akari. Well I wasn't actually expecting her to welcome me with open arms but what she said was not right. She doesn't know how it is like to have someone close to you die. Akari stood still, tears were pouring out of her eyes, her faced showed that she's been crying a lot. She started breathing heavily. A panic attack. I thought. I knelt down up to her level and hugged her. "Follow my breathing Akari." I said and took in deep breaths and she did the same after a while. Akari calmed down slowly still in my arms.

"We'll leave in the morning." I said to sensei before walking out of the office with Akari holding on to me. I went into her apartment, and she was already asleep. I put her down and walked out of the room. I looked around the house there was a couple pictures turned down. "What are these." I said to myself taking a picture. It was a picture of two boys, Akari and an older woman. It looked more like a team, I wonder why it was turned down. the next picture was a picture of a man with white hair that I quickly recognized as Sakumo Hatake. There was a boy with silver hair, half of his face was covered with a mask and Akari was standing with them she had a bright smile on her face.

I sent a shadow clone to talk to sensei about Akari. "Why did you call me back, I want a real reason." I said. "Akari's team died in front of her, her sensei blamed it on her because she was a chunin and the others were genin, she locked herself up many times in the past five days. Sensei explained. "I understand." I said and the shadow clone gave me all the information. She's been through a lot she just needs someone. I thought.

Akari's POV

I woke up and went outside to see Tsunade cooking in the kitchen. "Oh, your awake." She said cheerfully. I sat down at the table and didn't say a word. "I'm not much of a cook but this will be it for dinner." She said putting down the food. I tasted a bit of it and quickly regretted it, the food was bitter in taste. "So how is it." Tsunade asked. "It's fine." I said forcefully swallowing another bite. She sat down next to me and ate a bit of the food and quickly chugged down her water. "Let's go out for dinner, huh?" She asked and I nodded.

"Akari haven't seen you for a while who's this." Rin asked walking up to us with Asuma and Kurenai. "Tsunade-sama nice to meet you." Kurenai said bowing and the others looked between the both of us. "Akari who's that to you." Asuma asked and I internally facepalmed. "She's my mother ya know." I said sounding cheerful. "Anyways, we're heading for dinner." I said before dragging Tsunade into a tea shop. "So you put a façade around your friends." She said knowingly.

"They don't need to know what happened." I said bluntly. "How long did your team stay together." Tsunade asked. "About a year, why do you care anyways." I said as our food came. "I'm your mother and I know your angry, with me but I can only tell you the reason if you really want to know." She said calmly and I nodded.

"Your father died and I couldn't save him, I found out that I was pregnant with you after two days. I'm still recovering so I didn't want to raise you through all that. Also I decided that no one besides a two people would know who you really were due to the fact that, your half Kato a feared clan that was destroyed in the second shinobi war because of their Kekkei genkai which you for sure have. And your half Senju, I suppose you have heard of the senju clan and how many enemies we have." She explained. We paid for our food and went home neither of us said anything on our way back.

"I'm sorry mom." I said while hugging Mom after entering the apartment. "For everything, you were just trying to protect me and I should have known that, I was just upset about my team." I said as tears rolled down my eyes. "It's alright, how about you get some rest and we'll set off in the morning and you can tell me any and all of your problems." Mom said with a kind smile. "How long will it be." I asked wiping my tears. "Well since your seven that'll be five years." She said cheerfully and my eyes widened. "Don't you worry when you come back your going to be trained higher than any chunin or jonin in this village." She said reassuring me and I light up.

"Good night I'll see you in the morning." I said before running to my room. Mom came a couple minutes later and slept beside me. It was comforting for me as I have always been alone nightmare or not.
