People know that there is evil in the world, but most would rather like to admit that it doesn't exist. Humanity is not that different from any other pack animal. No matter how much they crib about those in power, very few would like to wield it. But for those in power , these few outliers scare them. Criminals and vices come and go. The world fear those who want to cause change.

Therefore to be rid of such people, the 'hole' was created. There they buried all their problems and forgot about them. It was the joint effort of all the governments of the world, located in the, perhaps, aptly called devil's triangle. The created fake electromagnetic storm around the place to prevent any civilians from coming near. There were a few incidences here and their but they were covered up as conspiracies.

People who are sent here are erased. The worst of worst or from a certain perspective the best. They were mass murders, terrorist heads, anarchists among others, but they all shared one thing, they had goals they would give their life for. And there was nothing worse for them to live the rest of their life watching everything opposite of what they wished happening. The ideology of their groups being twisted and used for nefarious purposes. These people were replaced by government pawns, and were used as and when required. After all there had to be a bad side for the good to fight against. After much discussion it was realized that should such facility become public knowledge, it would lead to complications. Thanks to the technological boom of the past few decades information was quite more readily available. Such things had to be disposed off. A nuke was dropped on the said location, passed of as underwater testing and all was forgotten.
