2 Arc 1 - Choosing a new World
I spent a lot of time thinking about the pros and cons of each world, in the end I narrowed it down to five possible worlds.
There were some worlds that even though I liked I wouldn't choose even if you pay me. Like for example The Waliking Dead, who in his right mind would choose that world? That universe is basically our world plus zombies. Unless you are obsessed with that universe and love zombies, that world is a big no no.
Another world that, although I enjoyed the anime, I would not choose at all is Highschool DXD. In one of my past lives I was a wizard in that universe (Gareth Cross, 17th century). Let me tell you why that world is not an option.
1- The abundance of beings capable of destroying continents in the blink of an eye.
2- Ophis
3- Human magic in that world sucks, if you're bad with numbers you're screwed, you'll be as useful as a Potterverse wizard without his wand.
4- The three factions.
Devils obsessed with enslaving all other races (We're not going to pretend that their so-called 'Peerage' is nothing but slavery in all but name.)
Fallen angels that either kill you or capture you for their experiments (Azazel IS the Orochimaru of that world, change obsession with Sharingan with Sacred Gear. How do you think Azazel became the number 1 expert in SG? He experimented with sacred gears, Azazel dissected them and figured out how they work. And if you remember correctly the only way to separate the SG from its user KILLS the user. I don't even want to think how many 'volunteers' died because of his obsession...)
And then there's the Heaven faction, the pure angels are the only good guys in that world. The problem? The church (Just remember what they did to Asia and Yuto, I won't say more)
5- ALL pantheons exist and are quite active in the mortal world
I could give more reasons but...
Another world that I love but would NEVER choose is FATE. Yep, in one of my past lives I lived in Nasuverse, which is great! And it was a glorious life!

While I have some really cool past lives for every life full of adventure and glory there are a dozen mundane lives (slave in Rome in the 2nd century BC, lawyer in London in the 19th century, housewife in Canada in the 30s, ...)
The five worlds that I chose are worlds that I know VERY well. Not only have I seen the series/movies, I have also read a lot about them. Before making a decision I need a little information.
"Mr. Andros, would you mind if I ask you a few questions?"
The god of humanity looked up from his book, while I was reading the lists he pulled out a super thick book out of nowhere and started reading it.
"Of course."
"The world I choose, what year will I appear there? Can I choose the date or...?"
"No, you can't choose the date. But I can tell you the year if you want. What world have you chosen?"
"I've narrowed the list down to five worlds, can you tell me the date of Potterverse?"
"Ah, Potterverse. Magic and technology, the best of both worlds." Andros smiles, "The date will be 2005."
Shit.
If it were at least a few decades before the 21st century... You see there is a very good reason why I don't want to live in that universe during the 21st century: War.
If you think about it, WAR between Muggles and Wizarding World is inevitable. The Wizarding World has a very low opinion of their mundane counterpart, they consider them inferior and worthless, they are not even aware of the current fashion of the muggle world much less their technological and military level.
The 20th century was full of wizards causing chaos and destruction in the muggle world, in that universe World War II was caused by wizards, needless to mention the many muggles who were killed by Voldipants and his fan club .
To sum up, the mundane world has a thousand reasons to hate the magical world and it only takes one spark to light the fire of war. And in the 21st century, with the great technological advances in the Muggle world (security cameras in every city, satellite surveillance, mobile phones, social networks...) the magical world will not be able to remain hidden for long. All it takes is for an idiot wizard to do something stupid in front of a camera and buala the Magic World is no longer a secret (and let's face it, the wizarding world is full of idiots).
"..." My first choice... Why cruel world? It wasn't enough to be crushed to death by an idiot, you also have to take Hogwarts from me? "Mr. Andros, why that date? Can it be any time in the 19th century or-"
"No. The date of each world corresponds to the time you, Owen Ventosa, died in your home world. Don't be greedy or I will retract my offer." The god looked at me sternly.
Well shit. I'll have to be more careful with my words or I'll lose my isekai opportunity.
"My apologies Mr. Andros." Bow your head in a sign of respect. "Could you please tell me the date of the Avatar world?"
"Year 2722 after the fusion of the mortal Wan and the spirit Rava."
Wow. That's a long time before Aang or Korra even existed. More than seven thousand years. Asari was an excellent firebender, a peerless prodigy who created Lightning bending, he lived a couple of centuries after the death of the first Avatar.
Although I love that world, I would prefer a more modern era, the technological level of the year 2722... If during Aang's era is when technology advanced enough for them to create airships seven thousand years before his era, the technological level will be more or less the same as the East about 2000 years ago.
And I have zero information about this era, so the world could be at war and the Fire Nation almost extinct or something equally bad. No matter how powerful Asari is, jumping into the unknown is a very bad tactic, it's downright stupid. Sure, I could choose another body, someone whose potential far exceeds the average power level of the Avatar world. But in that world the spirits are very dangerous, the slightest mistake and you are trapped in the Spirit World at the mercy of dangerous spirits. And having otherworldly powers WILL ATTRACT the attention of many spirits. Spirits that you cannot fight, only the Avatar can fight them.
So no. My second option vanished into oblivion.
"What about RWBYverse?" Please be a modern era! After the Faunus Revolution!
"Year 1780 after the Brothers left Remnant." I look at him with a blank face. How the hell am I supposed to know when that is?! I only know the big events that happened, not dates!
Destruction of the Moon - Grimms era begins - Faunus appear - Ozma and Salem get married - Worst divorce ever - Alcoholic Ozma - Creation of the Maidens - Oz/Salem war begins - World War - Faunus Revolution - Team RWBY era

Andros looks at me amused and as if reading my mind he says: "Seven centuries after the death of the daughters of Salem and Ozma." Well, that helps, but I'm still pretty lost.
"In what year were the Hunter Academies founded?" The Academies are said to have been founded after the war, and the Vytal Festival is held every two years to commemorate the end of the war. During Ruby's first year the fortieth Vytal Festival was held, so 80 years after the end of the war.
"A couple of millennia after the destruction of the moon."
And option three vanishes before my eyes. I don't feel so good Mr Stank.
Grimm. I can live in a world infested with flesh-hungry demonic creatures AS LONG AS I have the means to kill them. Of course I would have magic or chakra depending on the body I choose but not super advanced technology.
I wanted a scroll so badly! And a mecha weapon!
Bye bye my awesome mecha Sword/Spear/Gun. You will be missed!
Option 4. Narutoverse! RASENGAN AND DATTEBAYO baby!
"What about Narutoverse?" Please don't fail me Lady Fortune!
"Year 1015 after the Kaguya era."

In that era Naruto was already Hokage. Great you would think. I wouldn't have to get involved in the Fourth Shinobi War. An era of peace. Perfect.

During that era the Otsutsuki clan began to invade the planet, and if there were only one or two..., but for each Otsutsuki that the Shinobi Alliance defeated, another two appeared. And don't forget those bastards are basically immortal. If you kill one, that Otsutsuki ends up resurrecting using your damn body!
And worst of all, the Otsutsuki are fucking powerful. OP level of powerful!
This is supposed to be my chance to live a plentiful and adventurous life! If I choose this world every second will be a battle to survive! My options would be to pray that Boruto or someone ends the alien threat and try not to become collateral damage. Or join the battle. In any case it would not be a relaxed life.
Sniff, bye bye Detabayo, sniff.
My last option. Dragons and ice zombies.
"...And Planetos?"
"Year 284 after Aegon's conquest." My face lit up! All my knowledge about this world will be valid and useful!
Just because my prior knowledge will be valid, this world is much better than the others! Of course the technological level will suck. And there are many threats. BUT if I choose the right body none of that will matter, I just have to choose someone whose power far exceeds that of any possible enemy in Planetos. And that was not so difficult!
I was pretty powerful in my past lives!
