1 Prologue

A mother was tucking in her six-year-old son as the boy looked up at her his big blue eyes sparkling. "mother, tell me a story, please?" he asked. his mother nodded with a gentle smile and began to tell him the tale about little red riding hood. Surprisingly, the boy shook his head, "no, not that one again, something new, please mother?" he practically begged for he had heard the same stories to many times.

"All right, stay right here I'll be back I know just the story," she said as she got to her feet and left the room. the sound of the creaking board sounded as she walked to another room. soon she had returned with an old dusty leather-bound book, the boy looked at her confused as she sat back down by his bedside and stared at the book.

his mother blew the dust off and smiled. "I believe you would like this one it's a true story filled with action, adventure, friendship, and romance. this story is called A Secret Tale" she said as the opened the leather cover and began to read with a soft voice.

Once upon a time and a long time ago, there lived a beautiful but strange young woman in Ireland. one day she received a strange letter claiming that whoever sent the letter knew who her father was. this struck her curiosity for she had only heard tales for he had vanished without a trace before she was born.

the young maiden had gone to the sacred stones were the letter told her to wait for him, but as the sunset and hit the horizon a portal opened up before her sucking her in. it dropped her in a magical kingdom called Fairista full of mythical creatures and fairy tales.

what she didn't know was that the king of this beautiful land was not only Merlin's son but her father and that his twin brother who was the king of the shadowlands was threatening to take over both lands and spread nightmares to all the world. this young maidens destiny was unfolding before her. now she must find the key to balance good and evil. she will make many friends along the way. will she be able to find the key to balance or will everything be lost?
