It was quite late in the night on the day before Harry's 15th birthday while studying when he received a letter from his Slytherin enemy Draco Malfoy, his pale skinned, platinum haired, silvery-grey eyed crush. He stared at the letter in surprise thinking, "Why would he send me a letter he hates me, He read,

" Dear Potter, I am very sorry for all the things I have done to you and your friends. My father would tell me to bully you and your friends. I said no, and that ended badly on my part. Although you have no reason to accept the apology, it would mean a lot to me if you did. I am also apologizing to your friends. I would like to be friends with you and maybe Granger, and could you please owl Granger. But, if you accept please keep it a secret, because if my father hears some not good things would happen. Again I am extremely sorry. Also I wish you a happy birthday.

Harry read the letter again and again in shock. *I was wrong* He thought. *He was forced, I was so rude. I think I'll accept the request, apologize, and ask to meet up sometime. I think it'll be a good summer. Not to mention it's my birthday. Best birthday ever!* He thought sleepily. He slowly fell asleep after cleaning up his stuff.

When Harry woke up he first heard an owl hoot quietly in his ear. Good Morning to you too Hedwig. O-oh h-hey E-errol, P-pig, and H-hermes. A-any w-ways I-I h-have t-two l-letters t-to w-write. Harry said. His first letter said ~

"Dear Draco, I gladly accept your apology, and I apologize for being rude to you. I would love to be friends with you, I'll also owl Hermione. I am staying in Diagon Alley for the rest of summer break and would like to meet up outside Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour on Friday. I'll be there till four o'clock studying after then I'll be somewhere around Diagon Alley. Also I'm staying in the Leaky Caldron if you arrive later than 6. Since we are friends, call me Harry.

His second letter said, ` "Dear Weasleys, and Hermione if you are there, I appreciate the gifts you got me. I am staying in Diagon Alley and so I won't stay over this summer.

Harry sent the two letters and went to get food from the leaky caldron downstairs. M-morning T-tom, Harry said. C-could I-I h-have a-a b-biscuit th-this m-morning? Course Harry, Tom said. Harry ate then left to go to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour to work on homework for his classes. He had been doing this for a week. Ever since he got kicked out of the Dursleys he had been staying there in the leaky caldron.

It was Thursday and he had a hope for the next day. Boo! Someone shouted behind him. Ahh! He turned and saw one of his best friends. H-hermione w-what a-are y-you d-doing h-here? Harry said. I came to surprise you. Hermione said. Uh-huh. Harry said unconvinced. C-could y-you h-help m-me? He said. I-I'm s-stuck o-on t-the e-essay f-for S-slughorn. Sure! Hermione sat down after saying. The two finished up the homework. A few seconds later Harry asked, W-what d-did y-you a-actually n-need? Mrs. Weasley asked me to check if you changed your mind about coming. Hermione said. O-of c-course sh-she d-did. Harry said with a laugh. T-tell h-her I-I'm not c-coming but thanks. Harry said. Wait! He said. Draco will be sending letters to everyone apologizing and explaining, he would also be grateful if you and I would be his friends, I've agreed but he might meet up with me. You could also come if he says yes. Also please don't tell ron. Also please don't show letters I send you to Ron just yet. Thanks Harry, I'll come and I'll not tell or show him. Bye. She said as she left. Bye 'mione. At this time it was starting to get dark. Time to get back, Harry thought. He hurried through the crowds to the Leaky Caldron. He asked Tom for some food, ate, and went to the bed and sat down thinking. Maybe Draco's letter will arrive soon. It's been awhile so why not hope? A couple minutes to a half hour later he received a letter from Draco. The letter read,

" Harry I would love to meet up tomorrow, I'll be there around 3:30 if you don't mind. Please meet me at the back of the caldron instead though.

Draco"

The brunette smiled, for he was gonna hang out with his long time crush. He then kept thinking about the next day. What was he going to wear? Where would they go? How long would they hang out? The questions just kept coming. Although he should be getting sleep he just couldn't. Or so he thought, because five minutes later he passed out on the bed.The next morning he broke the pattern he'd created by sleeping in a little bit, then he started on his hair. The brunette eventually gave up, got dressed and went downstairs. Hey Tom, Harry said. Could you pass me a bagel please? Here ya go Harry. Tom said. Thanks. As he ate the bagel he looked around Diagon Alley a little more.
