1 Prologue

In the night, a lone car travels on a road road surrounded by trees from both sides, as if trying to drown the tiny lights of the moon from view, yet the moon still shines brightly.

I sat there staring out of the window with a bored look on my face trying to block out the voices around me, yet I still faintly hear them.

"Listen here I am not selling the house for the last time it isn't your damn business!"

"Isn't my business?! I am your wife and that is also my house yet you refuse to sell or renovate it!"

"It is as much as yours as the world is mine! You own nothing there, so it is my decision and I will whatever I want!"

"You are a..."

And so they went on and on arguing on and on I tried to not focus on them by looking at the beautiful night sky, yet it is quite difficult to block out yelling when it is right beside you no?

All this fighting had begun ever since my father had lost his job and house, after that they had moved into an older house, my mother absolutely hated it there as the structure was old and had many faults, especially knowing that her husband, my father, had been saving a ton of money while completely disregarding his family, I pity them both, for my father everyday he has to save money while trying to find a new job, and my mother who has no money of her own and desperately tries to care for her family and make the house feel like home.

I sigh and try not to think about those depressing things, holding my tears back from thinking of the change in my parents, I look out the window for a distraction and I see something move, upon closer inspection it turns out it is...

Woah is that a fox? That's awesome! Maybe there is a family nearby?

As I was thinking these thoughts the night air had suddenly grown very still and hundreds of birds started flying away, it grew so ominous that my parents had stopped arguing.

I started feeling a shiver in my spine something was obviously wrong but why does my heart feel so... Anxious?

"Wait what the hell is tha-"

But my father couldn't complete his sentence as a hole in thin air had opened!

Quickly swerving the car out of the way. Too quick, in fact, as it caused the car to tumble into the forest.

Feeling my body tumble helplessly in the car I was relentlessly battered against the door until.

*Snap*

The car belt had broke, almost instantly I was thrown out of the car were my body flew a dozen meters before it fell against something.

I had landed on a fox, killing the poor thing under me, as I landed I had broken my neck, struggling with pain I thought of one last thing, of my parents, would they miss me? Would they cry after my death, had I made them sad in these hard times?

Mom, dad, I'm sorry

And I had died
