3 An Idiot?

RIIINNNNNG!!!

The ring indicating the end of class sounded. Upon hearing it Arjun turned towards the door with a smile on his face, but after sometime when he saw Harshitha his smile disappeared for a second before smiling again. Harshitha was coming out of the classroom hand in hand with a boy.

Arjun can identify the boy, he was the one Harshitha's friend mentioned in their visit. Anger and hate flashed in Arjun's eyes and when he shifted his sights on Harshitha it became tender and gentle.

Harshitha couldn't believe that Arjun would come to her college without notifying her, she could tell that he knew what happened when Arjun saw the boy but what was even more shocking to her was that even if he knew everything happened he still treated her the same way. All she wanted to do now was to run upto him and hug him.

But unfortunately she had already decided to break their relationship, she knew that now she doesn't deserve him and his love. So she had to make him hate her as much as possible so that he doesn't waste his time and effort like in the past.

With determination she went towards Arjun with the boy hand in hand and asked "Why are you here?"

"I just came to see you, it's been nearly two weeks since I last saw you" Arjun said gently with a smile.

"Oh. I forgot to introduce you, this is Kishore, my boyfriend" Harshitha said in an annoyed tone.

Arjun can understand what she's trying to say and also her decision, he doesn't even glance at the boy. But how can he let her do it? He loves her so what's the big difference if she's still a virgin or not. Arjun never gave priority to such stuff, because he knew how many people remain virgin till their marriage?

"Harshu I know what you're trying to say, but first listen to me. What has happened as happened, it's all in the past and I don't blame you too. I know your heart belongs to me that's enough for me, so can we please go back to the way we were?" Arjun speaks slowly while he lifts his hand to caress her chin.

Harshitha knocks his hands off. Her eyes turned red, tears threatening to fall. But she brazes herself and tells in a harsh tone "My heart? You still believe that? What are you? An idiot? Let me tell you I won't love anybody else in this life except him" she points to the guy beside him.

And without waiting for Arjun to speak, she pulls the boy and walks away from Arjun leaving only her cold voice "You think too highly off yourself, don't try to contact me again. You and I are not meant to be together. You are just a passing cloud in my life."

Arjun stood there watching her leave. He couldn't describe his current emotions and feelings, this was way harder than when he heard about the visit incident. Because he knew Harshitha was determined to end their relationship. He decided to believe in her and will not contact her on his own initiative but will also wait for her.

Harshitha was remembering her past in front of the ICU ward, when the door was opened and the doctor came out.

"Are you related to the patient?" he asked.

Harshitha shook her head "I've notified his father, his father should be arriving soon."

"Oh, the patient has already entered vegetative state. Even though he is out of danger for the time being, he can no longer wake up"

"What? He..." Harshitha was totally lost for words.

At this time, a middle aged man entered the ICU, he stared at the doctor and then he saw Harshitha. He smiled lightly towards Harshitha and started walking towards the doctor.

The doctor saw him coming and asked "Are you the father of this child?"

Ravi didn't say anything, just nodded his head indicating his answer.

"Follow me" said the doctor and walked towards his room.
