So calm

The following Monday.

"Yes, I know and I hear you perfectly clear" said Dom as he was in his office as he walked around while he was speaking on his phone.

"I will send you those files via email, and I am sure you will be happy with what we can offer you" said Dom as he smiled.

"Alright then, take care, and the same to you" said Dom as he smiled and he ended the call as his office door opened in that same moment.

"Oh… I am sorry for not knocking Sir, I thought you were still on the phone" said the Secretary as she smiled apologetically.

"That is alright" said Dom as he smiled at her and he placed his phone on his desk.

"Ahh, Sir, I have the files here for the renovations" said the Secretary as she walked over to Dom and she handed him some a blue file which he went through immediately.

"It includes the planning and the design, the pre-construction, procurement, construction, and post-construction information, as well as the floor layout, and the overall budget of the renovation" said the Secretary as she explained and Dom went through the folder.

"I took the liberty of calculating the overall cost it would take to retain half the staff numbers during the renovation, and I also calculated the amount of money we would loose due to our operations being paused, or reduced due to the nature of the renovation" said the Secretary.

"Thank you, that is very productive of you" said Dom as he smiled.

"I am only doing my job Sir" said the secretary as she smiled.

"Yes you are, and you do it very well" said Dom as he smiled.

"Alright, so I skimmed through it, and everything seems to be in order" said Dom.

"The decision that remains is whether or not a new building should be built on top of the old one, or if the old one should be destroyed first" said Dom.

"Sir if you ask me, I suggest you consult the opinion of your father on that decision" said the Secretary.

"Hmm, I see" said Dom.

"Well Thank you, I will go through this once again at a later time, and then I will come to you with my approval or concerns" said Dom.

"Alright Sir" said the Secretary.

"Sir do you want me to cancel all your meetings for today?" she asked.

"Ahh yes, please do that, but leave my meeting for 3pm, I have already cancelled that one once, and it would not be fair to do that again" said Dom.

"Alright Sir, I will do that right away" said the Secretary as she smiled and she left his office.

Dom smiled as he placed the folder on his desk and his phone suddenly rang, he picked his phone from his desk and he smiled as he answered the call.

"Good Morning Grandfather" said Dom as he smiled and he put his phone to his ear.

"Dominic, how are you?" asked Ernest as he sounded very calm.

"I am doing well Grandfather, and how are you?" asked Dom as he smiled.

"I am well" said Ernest.

"How is my great granddaughter?" asked Ernest with a smile.

"She is very good Grandfather" said Dom as he laughed.

"I am glad" said Ernest as he smiled.

"Wow Grandfather, this is a surprise, you sound so calm" said Dom as he was surprised, his Grandfather was usually never this calm and yet here he was actually speaking like a normal Grandfather.

"Well I am always like this grandson" said Ernest as he smiled.

"I beg to differ Grandfather" said Dom as he laughed and he sat down at his desk.

"Why you…" said Ernest as he paused and he calmed himself down.

"Did you know that Natasha bought a company recently?" asked Ernest as he smiled.

"Yes I know, Dad told me about it on Friday" said Dom as he smiled and he logged on his computer.

"Good, Good, so how do you think that we will be able to support her?" asked Ernest with a smile.

"Well Grandfather, I don't think that is a good idea at all" said Dom as he smiled, he knew this was what his Grandfather had called him for, Natasha was his favourite person, even though she was not even related to him by blood, it had always been like that.

"And why not?" asked Ernest.

"Well because once Natasha knows that you are the one trying to support her, she will get angry, and end up pushing you away even more" said Dom plainly.

"So I advise that you let her be, if you keep on forcing yourself on her, she will not forgive you anytime soon" said Dom as he typed something on his laptop as he placed his phone on his desk and he put his phone on speaker.

"I cannot stand her being angry with me, I only care for her" said Ernest sadly.

"Ouch Grandfather, you do know that I am your grandson right??" asked Dom as he laughed.

"Oh hush there" said Ernest.

"But fine, I will listen to you, I will let her be" said Ernest.

"Good" said Dom as he smiled.

"I heard that you and Natasha went out to the park with Joy on Saturday" said Ernest as he smiled.

"Heard from who?" asked Dom as he smiled.

"That is not important" said Ernest.

"Mhmm, right" said Dom as he shook his head, he of course knew who told his Grandfather.

"So have you both decided to reconcile?" asked Ernest as he smiled.

"Grandfather, please don't ask impossible things from me" said Dom as he went through a white folder on his desk.

"I have always done what you want" said Dom.

"You told me get good grades, I got good grades, you told me to get married, and I got married, so please, don't ask me about that" said Dom.

"Sure we went out together, but that is only because we are both parents to Joy, my daughter comes first to me" said Dom.

"You keep on saying that Dominic, but I promise you that I will not rest until you finally stop being stupid and get back with Natasha" said Ernest.

"You say get back when we were never together in the first place" said Dom as he sighed.

"Don't think you can hide from me" said Ernest.

"Enough about that Grandfather" said Dom as he had heard enough.

"Grandfather, concerning the renovations, should the old office building be demolished first, or should we just built on top of it?" asked Dom as he remembered he had more important matters to discuss with Ernest.

"Ahh…" said Ernest as he seemed to be thinking.

"I say demolish everything, start from scratch, we need to build from the ground up" said Ernest.

"So Everything can be new and improved" said Ernest.

"Alright then Grandfather, I will do as you say" said Dom.

"Good, good" said Ernest.

"If only you did that in your marriage" said Ernest as he started again.

"*Sigh* Grandfather, don't start again" said Dom as he sighed, he could not get a break from his Grandfather could he??

"I will start because I never finished" said Ernest.

"Grandfather… I have to work now" said Dom.

"Oh nonsense, that can wait, a few minutes of you talking won't make the company collapse" said Ernest as he knew his grandson was just trying to make an excuse to hang up on him.

"But I…" said Dom as he was cut off.

"But nothing" said Ernest.

"My Birthday is coming up soon, and I wonder what you will get me" said Ernest as he smiled.

"Grandfather, that is in two weeks, or even more if I am right" said Dom as he shook his head.

"No, no, you and those counterparts of yours need to make sure that you get a grand gift" said Ernest as he smiled and he nodded his head.

"Sir, I am sorry to disturb you, but head of HR wants to meet with you" said the Secretary as she opened the door of Dom's office.

"That is alright, send him in" said Dom as he was relieved, he was finally going to have an excuse, a valid one to get out of talking with his Grandfather.

"Okay Sir" said the Secretary as she closed the door.

"Sorry Grandfather, I actually need to go now, the head of HR wants to meet with me" said Dom as he smiled.

"Oh don't you dare pretend like you are not happy" said Ernest as he scoffed.

"Yes, you are right Grandfather, well alright, I will speak to you later, take care" said Dom as he smiled and he ended the call.

"What a unrespectful grandson I have, hmmph, he will not even call me, I end up calling him in the end" said Ernest to himself as he lamented.

He wondered if he should adopt new children that would grow up to love him like he deserved, and not like his so called grandson who seems to have his own life.

Do you want Natasha and Dom to end up together haha??
