Run!

*pant* *pant* *pant* heaved a woman that was short of breath from running, the woman was tired, fear was evident in her eyes, she leaned on the bark of a sturdy tree, the sky was pitch black, with not a star in the sky and she was in a big black dark forest and she seemed to be running away from something, rather say someone.

Instantaneously she heard footsteps and her eyes went wide, she could hear the slow, sturdy footsteps of the person that was chasing her, it was as if the person knew she was here, hiding behind this tree.

The lady was too tired to run she had exhausted herself from running for so long, so she closed her eyes shut and held her mouth to stop her rapid shallow breathing, she stood very still and tried not to make any sound hoping the person chasing her would go away.

But Hope was not enough in this situation, the person took their sweet time, walking slowly as if he/she was scouting the surroundings waiting for for a certain little rat to come out of her hiding place.

"1...2...3" counted the lady in her mind as she numbered the steps the masked killer took, she could hear the rustling of the leaves under their feet and the little twigs that broke with each step they took.

Till finally the person stopped right at the tree she was hiding behind and without wasting a second she took off and ran as fast as her tired body could take her, only one word resounded in her ears and that was RUN! run as fast as you can! The sky was dark but her fears were darker.

Her shoes were worn out but her soul was worn out more, nothing could describe the amount of fear she was feeling right now.

Her body started failing her, she slowed down with every step she took "No no no please you can do it run more" she shouted in the back of her mind but before she knew it a thundering sound burst through her ears. it was a gunshot!

She didn't notice it but she had been shot in her side and she was loosing blood rapidly, the killer shot her and hit her right in her side she could not move anymore she felt cold and weak she rested her back on a tree as she tried to stop the blood by pressing her pink shirt into her side, but by now the pink colour had turned blood red.

"Please this can't be how it ends please somebody help me anyone" she cried with tears in her eyes, she heard some rustling in the trees, and her heart rate sped up when she saw who it was...

It was the killer and it was evident that this was the end "Please what do you want?? I will give it to you just please don't kill me please, please?" she pleaded as she cried even more in pain and in fear.

But the killer showed no emotion or at least she thought he didn't because he was wearing a black mask, the killer took slow steps as he made his/her way to the place she was resting on.

The killer gave her no mercy he first kicked her by the side and she cried out in pain and before she knew it another trigger was pulled and it was aimed right on her chest "BAM!"

The bullet was shot right into her heart, in her last minutes of consciousness she uttered a prayer " God please help me, please give me a second chance i don't want to die like this please, help me" she said as she entered into complete darkness.
